I love your interesting, humorous, well thought out and informative videos, Blue. Wish I could find and instructor like you! Love your site and I'm a Patreon .
Hi, do you have a video or lessons on how to play fast across strings? It's going from the high E to B and the B to G where I can hear I miss the beat.
I got it all correct. "How to implement interesting rhythmic aspect to our imporvisations". How about a video from Mr. Blue on that subject. That would be nice. Thanks
I dont think so. There are loads of great guitar players who don't play fast. Melody and rhythmic interest are more important for most genres like rock, blues, pop etc
Thanks Blue!! Hope I get better at playing faster, I’ll keep on trying. My aim is to perform correctly the riiff of “ juego de seduccion” de Soda Stereo. Thanks again!!!!
I´m not really good at playing fast but I think that triplet thing will help, with a lot of practice of course😁 Thanks for another great lesson! I´m not sure but I think Joe Walsh uses triplets in the solo of the song Dirty Laundry by the Eagles, the live version here on youtube. But I might be wrong.
Man I would die to learn and play an electric guitar just like you but the only guitar I could afford is an Air Guitar 1980 Vintage 1 of a kind supreme edition.
I could hear the triplets in your test straight away, but the others, the non triplets were a bit more tricky to define. Good exercise! Speed for the sake of speed does nothing for me, melody and coherent composition wins every time...imo of course :)
HI for 16th notes i take the: ta-ke-ti-mi .. i know that it sounds in english language not so than in German .. but i believe it will be a methode to surch for you the best "harmonic slang" Greetings from Germany :))@@GuitarLessonsVancouver

2 things: that telecaster sounds killer and the stra-ber-y thing is GREAT....
Thank you! Glad it helped.
Great video, thanks!
Thanks for watching! Lots more guitar lessons on the channel!
Great lesson🎉... Maybe Free Bird could be added to the list.
Awesome thanks so much for your efforts

4 out of 5, and strawberry or the Jimmy Page thing really helps!
✌️😎🎸🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶
Nice! 4 out of 5 is good!

1:46, literally any Kirk Hammett solo written before 1990
I got it all correct. "How to implement interesting rhythmic aspect to our imporvisations". How about a video from Mr. Blue on that subject. That would be nice. Thanks
Great suggestion thank you. I'll think about how to do a video on that.
3:13 so to be considered decent you had to be above 120bpm?
what of us older learners with slow fingers, or vice versa?
can we even get fast?
I dont think so. There are loads of great guitar players who don't play fast. Melody and rhythmic interest are more important for most genres like rock, blues, pop etc
@@GuitarLessonsVancouver i come back to this comment a lot .. thank you🙂
Another cool lesson. How about a psychedelic episode featuring the Indian pentatonic? For those trippy Beatles and Stones songs.
nice video. i got the quiz all right apart from the last curve ball. I went for triplets, doh!
Nice job! That's still a good score :)
Thanks Blue!! Hope I get better at playing faster, I’ll keep on trying. My aim is to perform correctly the riiff of “ juego de seduccion” de Soda Stereo. Thanks again!!!!
Cool thanks José! I'll check out that song. I've taught a couple of their songs before 😀
Which video is where you teach to Petal ? I think it was a technique you named yourself.
Is it this one you mean? The "bend and touch" like a pedal steel guitar? ruclips.net/video/gDQGkZTCCIQ/видео.html
That’s wasn’t it but I just was just rocking on this vid using your Wild bend & touch on a few southern rock progressions. Great vid too. Thank you.
1:44 "Hotel California" and The Beatles with "Tri-pla-di, Tri-pla-da".
Triple it triple it triple it triple it triple it. That's how I learnt it. And that makes total sense😎
That works well too. I've done that one 😀
I´m not really good at playing fast but I think that triplet thing will help, with a lot of practice of course😁 Thanks for another great lesson! Cool thanks! I'll have a listen to that song. It wouldn't surprise me, Joe Walsh would have triplets 😀
I’ve learned to say “trip-pa-let, trip-pa-let”
That works too, defnitely done that before :)
I love 16ths in group of 3
Yeah depending on the tempo, sounds great.
I think John Sykes Jr used triplets with Whitesnake if I remember right. I'm getting older 😂 take care 👍👋💯✌️
Cool that's possible. I dont know offhand but next time they come up on Spotify I'll listen for it 😀
Man I would die to learn and play an electric guitar just like you but the only guitar I could afford is an Air Guitar 1980 Vintage 1 of a kind supreme edition.
perfect must be the Canadian in me, getting the speed up is tough and maybe saying the words triplet in your head could help
Saying the words certainly helps to replicate the triplet rhythms :)
Neal Schon uses triplets a lot in his fast runs. Just listen to the first solo in Any Way You Want It. Blazing fast but clean and precise
Good example thank you!
I could hear the triplets in your test straight away, but the others, the non triplets were a bit more tricky to define. Good exercise! Speed for the sake of speed does nothing for me, melody and coherent composition wins every time...imo of course :)
Thanks @realjumper I agree melody over speed... usually 😀
I got the first sixteenth wrong but having heard it I immediately recognized the second sixteenth example.
Nice! Good work!!
I came here, trying to figure out a way to play the triplet part of the solo in funky monks by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Nice! That's a cool part for sure. Hope it helped
The drummer in me says good lesson. Agree, melody is more interesting than speed.
Cool, thanks!
How about: B-B-King B-B-King B-B-King ?
Oooh perfect!!! I don't think he played triplets much, or at all, but the syllables are perfect for 😀
A lot of Queens Of The Stone Age tracks have decent lines of triplets in their solos.
Good example thank you!
John Lennon is playing triplets on All my lovin!
Oh hadn't thought of that. In the strumming I think? Will have a listen thanks.
Love Gun by Kiss
Hmm good one. I'll check it out thanks 😀
😎🤘
Thanks for watching 👍
Rory Gallagher. King of triplets.
Hmmm good example. I have to listen to more Gallagher again, thanks for the comment!
Beneath , Between , Behind / Rush...Alex plays triplets
Good point there are probably lots of triplets in Rush songs.
Do the India Count: Ta-Ki-Te , :)) and thx for Vids from you :)
Ahhh that works, thanks!!

@@Andy_E.2677 Nice! That would work well thanks! Or the words from Aretha Franklin's song "Respect": Sock-it-to-me Sock-it-to-me 😀
