As some one who owns and still daily drives Asus RGO G20AJ I immediately thought: New "console size" gaming PC with optical drive in 2025 ! ! ! Yeah, it would be cool replacement. Besides, I miss when PCs had physical media slot. Even smaller ones used to have it. It is a niche that no manufacturer seems to even notice. All ITX cases nowadays lack it, but if they had it - then it is perfect for home theatre / media center / emulation station. I absolutely love this MSI DP80. Even for the case alone as it seems that it is using regular ITX mobo.
At 4:17, about the last time you saw a disc drive in a new PC system, the only ones I can think of are the HP desktops you bought back in 2021: the 5300G for $350 and 5700G for $550. I don't think optical media is going to make a comeback. (And of course this isn't counting consoles, since you've clearly gotten a new Xbox with a disc drive since then.)
It could be used as a firewall/router, jump box, industrial control device, etc. Even on a desktop, the second one could be used for redundancy or for access to a separate network. There are lots of uses for this.
3 years advanced replacement is actually pretty awesome. That means they'll send you a new computer before they get back the old one. I haven't heard of anyone doing that.
got plus points from me for 4 monitor support, although is a bit disappointing you have to sacrifice both usb4 ports to do so, also the external power on button - finally somebody came up with that idea commercially, I am using two such external power buttons from aliexpress /or the late dealextreme?/ since 2007ish, one for a desktop that has the regular on button on a dumb place and one for a backup mini pc mounted to the back of a monitor again with iffy on button availability, simply connected it to the motherboard instead of the original chasis front panel connections
I would like to see Msi to do AMD for once instead of Intel
Seriously! That DP80 with a Ryzen would rock!

Optical drive! ❤
They could have easily put Strix Halo in this…

Please make a video on the dp80.
The DP80 is definitely going to be my next rig.
dp80 looks interesting
Wheres the cabinets from the picture...??
msi better come out with some more low profile cards teasing with that slimline.
LP 5060! Well, I can dream can't I?
No AMD not interested
Like fanboy would say, both of them are toxic, fighting like a little children.
Does the drive play blu rays?
good question.
no
any idea why 2 gb lan ports?
its like all will be used as NAS or mini servers?

@Alpha8713 guess there are cheaper options for industrial n production use.
Now they need to release a new powerful 50 series low profile GPU
They don’t even need to do that. Just put AMD Strix Halo in these. The iGPU in that performs like a 4060
Nice.👍😄
I dont mind how large it is as long as its cheaper 😂
3 years? You're coping there man.
There used to be a time when we had 5 years as a standard warranty for stuff.
