Yeah, it seems as we get older there's less "surprise" in our gifts. But we always manage a few. I know my wife bought at least 3 things fishing related. amd at least 1 focused on the RUclips channel! So can't wait to share about that! And Sierra Nevada was definitely one of my 'gateway" beers to better stuff! Enjoy your new Christmas gifts!
I've been using Aliexpress lures for a while now. The quality of the lures has really progressed throughout the years. Some are great. Some are not so great. The quality of the hooks and split rings has definitely gotten better over the years. Usually if the lures look good and cost alittle more, they usually work better. I've had good luck with some of the smaller topwaters and crankbaits.
Agreed. I think they can be very good, and it's a nice way to experiment a little. It just takes some planning to stay stocked up during busy fishing seasons. So far, none of them have made it into my "top lures" rotations though.
Compare to what I spend on JDM lures and tackle , my wife would be happy that I’ve found a cheaper alternative 😁. Also keep in mind that some of the expensive lures are actually made in China as well.
Great video I use aliexpress in new water ways I have no idea what to expect. I wonder if those hellgrammites float? Lately PayPal and my bank have been blocking me from buying from aliexpress maybe that's their way of saying chill out 😆 🤣

True. Their quality is not quite up to par as the JDM brands or even most US brands. But they are much cheaper so i don't mind.
For trout in deeper ponds I like the old fashioned Jenzi Tasmanin Devil ! ( no Ali stuff )

my experience with cheap lure is not good😅 you need to check first hooks and how it's moving in the water. But some are ok with small improvements😁
