Just magic times that's why thousands turned up to watch man united when they were in town . One things for sure whilst united went on to greater times . The Law, Best & Charlton days will be my favourite era of man united . It was a privilege to have seen them . And go anywhere in the world everybody new about them.

the way geroge best, cantona and Messi played football, they have a simplicity to it, and yet the opponents couldn't touch them. it just feels like they are operating on a different level than the rest of the world, which includes CR7 and his fancy dribbles.

I’m a Newcastle United fan but I have to say that this video shows exactly how good the Man Utd team was with Charlton, Best and Law in it back in the day. No diving about like the players of today, plus they played on mud bath pitches a lot of the time. No flat carpet like pitches like they have today and no lightweight footballs either, proper leather case ball which were heavy especially when they got wet. The skills they showed back then were as good as anything on show today and if George Best was playing today in his prime he would cost a small fortune to buy. RIP George Best, the greatest player ever produced by the UK.

George Best is a type of player that I believe we have only seen 3 other times in recent history. Pele, Maradonna and Messi. It's a shame that he was Irish (respect intended) as he didn't get to showcase his skills to the rest of the world. Fearless, strong, fast and with an embarrassing level of skill.

sorry but Pelé was a fake largely announced from year to year by great media organizations. He largely depended on Garrincha, to win his world cups. Maradona, the only world cup, was thanks to the referee mistake at Argentine vs England; Messi only plays at Barcelona and from some years and now, nor at Barcelona. Bergkamp, R. Baggio, Ronaldinho (psg and barcelona), Zidane, Giggs are all better

@@samuelaugustodasilva1815 'largely depneded on Garrincha to win his world cups?' Strange, as he didn't play in 1970, and Pele was magnificent as a 17 year old in '58. Imagine scoring two goals in a World Cup Final as a teenager and still be described as 'a fake'. Unbelievable.
To say Giggs was better than Pele, Maradona and Messi is absolutely absurd. And to top it off, if you can't see Messi as being one of the best, if not the best, player of all time, then I am not sure what you have been watching, or what you value in football. Come to think of it, why did you mention Messi only plays for Barcelona, when one of your idols (Giggs) only played at Man U and that had no bearing on your 'argument'?

Pelé is largely remembered about two things: 3x world cup winner (in fact, We should only take 1958 and 1970 in account. Cause 1962 world cup, He pretended an injury just after the first Brazil's game), Brazil won 1962, largely thanks to Zagallo, Garrincha and Vavá. Thus Pelé should never consider 1962. The other miracle Pelé said He did, was 1000 or more goals. Here, only taking real matches, not friendly matches, Pelé has less goals than several other soccer players. Conclusion about Pelé: never scored 1000 goals and nor won 3x world cup, but two as many others.
Now, Maradona... He played at: 1982 (did absolutely nothing), 1986 (even the English team largely showing great lack of skills as deffensive as offensive), even so, He Maradona needed the referee and his staff to "pretend" not seeying his handball goal. which at the end of that cup, granted 1st Argentine win. Now 1990, He Maradona, again granted Argentine team at the final, but this time Argentine lose against Deutsche team. 1994, Maradona was caught at anti doping exam and banned out of the cup. Conclusion about Maradona: zero times champion at Taça Libertadores das Americas or Europa UEFA champions league, few times champion at Calcio Italia Serie A league, addicted by cocaine, only won one world cup and largely thanks to one 'mistake' of the referee.
I don't think so fifa world cup was a parameter to take in account, but if so.. Garrincha, Vavá, Zidane and many others, are far better than Maradona.
Roberto Baggio, after debut was playing better than Maradona at Calcio and playing for Fiorentina.
So, I assure, Giggs, Romario, Bergkamp, Best, Zidane, R. Baggio, Edmundo, Ronaldinho (barcelona and psg) were all better than Maradona.
Giggs played very well from the debut at 91/92 till his retirement at 2012/2013.. He is for sure the best all time left winger, as is Garrincha the best all time right winger. Giggs performed all Maradona skills, even better and against more skilled and aggressive opponents than did Maradona.

Cristiano's successes speak for themselves, Dominated the toughest league of his time with 3 back to back premier leagues, triple Uefa champions league winner, quadruple ballon dor, international success with Portugal in 2016. He has indeed, the best trophy cabinet of any player currently or in history. The beautiful thing about it is that Ronaldo has done what he's done through allowing his hard work to flourish over his natural talent, and surpass it. He wasn't born the best, he made himself the best. That quality of his is an inspiration, not only in football but in all walks of life.
