For those shopping around for an exhaust, you might want to check the "Sport" version of the FastIntentions (12'' mufflers), they sound louder, especially if non-resonnated. Hard to believe it until seeing the side by side comparison but I like the Infiniti Helmholtz much better. I already have the Ark GRiP CBE but the Infiniti Helmholtz sounds great too.
615 Alpha Q50 yeah, the FI exhaust is much quieter but has a nice tone. Honestly, after having had both on my car...the Helmholtz is very good for an Axle Back.
Helmholtz is much louder. Overall it has a nice tone and no drone. Very good for an axle back exhaust. The Fast Intentions is a little more refined and much quieter when cruising. In my opinion the Fast Intentions is how the car should have sounded from the factory with just the right amount of exhaust sound and it did increase torque and horsepower which seems to have also increased throttle response.

i dunno, i have a 14 resonated FI on my g37, it is loud when i start it in the morning on cold start... btw i leave my house at 4am to go to work, poor neighbors..
Thank you. I have the 14” non resonated touring with stock down pipes. I like it much better than the Helmholtz. The FI has a deeper refined tone. Sounds really good on throttle and goes away when cruising. The Helmholtz was always present and was just too loud for me.
Non resonated is a little louder than resonated. I went with non resonated at the suggestion of Fast Intention and it ended being perfect. The Q50 is very quiet stock and even with non resonated it still is not that loud, it’s perfect in my opinion. Should have come this way stock.
Aphillyated KZ I find the ride quality on my RS400 to be great for a daily driver. I am currently running on 245/35/20 front and 285/30/20 in the rear. Highway cruising in my opinion is comfortable. I know there are cars out there with better ride quality such as most of the German competitors but in no way do I find the Q50 to be uncomfortable. I think for the price, it is tough to beat the performance you get (400 HP) and I still think to this day it is one of the best looking sedans in its category.
Aphillyated KZ thank you! I appreciate that. I will add that the first thing that is a must do is swap out the stock runflat tires. Even if you want to keep the stock RS wheels. The runflats are garbage and make for a very uncomfortable ride. In the wet, it is actually scary. Swamping our the tires makes a huge difference in ride quality and handling. Can’t stress that enough. Also, depending on your exhaust sound preference, it is extremely quiet stock. As this video shows, I have had both the Infiniti Helmholtz Axle back exhaust and ended up with the Fast Intentions. The FI exhaust is perfect for me. I found the Helmholtz to be a little too loud for my taste.
Jav the Auto Enthusiast the helmholtz sounds amazing in my opinion to me sounds the better of the two but all preference ! Yea bro idek I had a g35 as first car and fell in love instantly but now its between rs400 ,mustang, scat pack want something with decent tech, and that’s quick with a comfortable ride but the rs400 has waaay better gas mileage then both other options and is my first love! Decisions hahaa
Aphillyated KZ i almost got a scat pack but liked the interior of the Q50 better and yes...the gas mileage is much better. Plus the Q50 is quick and little bit of a sleeper compared to the Mustang and Scat Pack.
