Yes, the level pug is behind the back cover. I fill from the bottom up, when it gets to the level of the vent (full) plug, let it sit until the lube stops coming out of the hole. Put the plug in and check the level with the dipstick in the top cover use Synthetic Gear Oil API GL-5 SAE 75W-90 Qty: approx 2.7 liters (2.85 US qts)
One of my problems solved. I over filled the gearbox!!!! Do you have a link to the pressure vacuum tester you used. I have milky oil in the drive and the marina is saying the pressure test was good!! Want to test myself. Any ideas?

Ted you have saved me both money and the frustration of dealing with marine mechanics
Your welcome, thaks for the positive feedback. Just are not enough of them out there with good training.
Ted Great videos.
Hi, very good video. Is the oil level the same idea on the dp-e? Use the level plug rather than dipstick? Thanks!

Excellent. Most Volvo mechanics in the Bay Area do Micky Mouse work. I trust none of them.
What about the vacuum test? Volvo service manual says pressure and vacuum test.
Just forgot to put it in the video
Where did you get that pressure tester?
It is a stevens instrument tester. Had this one for decades.
