@@pawballer1964 it is always the same, was and it will be. It has always been hp per tone. You can get faster times to 100 or 150 with transmision setup but then you will get worse 0-200. Since vw lies, true 0-200 for most of 150hp hatchbacks (considering weight from 1200-1300kg) is 35-38s. You need 200hp to be around 30s for this weight. If some car is declared to be 150hp and it does true 32s to 200 that means it has like 20hp more than declared stock. Which is the case lets say on Mercedes C class diesel where some units produce 185+hp insted of declared 170.
this is very bad gearing for everyday use. if my calculations are corect, you get 250nm & 2150rpm at 60kph in 3rd, which means a G7 1.0 with 200nm & 2800rpm at 60kph in 3rd will put more torque to the wheels.
You will get used to staying in one gear lower. I drive small 1.5dci 110hp with very short ratios, its responsive in even higher gears but in citiy driving I do a lot of shiting. Friend has 2.0d bmw and longer ratios and he has to shift less, yes its a bit lazy below 1700rpm but once it gets going he is gone :)

Sorry but this is stage 1 for sure. I have an Ibiza Fr with the same engine, stage 1 and 173 cv on Bapro. It s a lighter car, 150 kg less. How is it possible this car does the same chrono?!? For example 100 200 in 24 seconds. I use P-Gear
VAya hostia que le has metido a la caja de cambios de 1 a 2 , no se como no te as quedado con la palanca en la.mano jajajaja, hay que aprender a cambiar mejor no se puede meter esos golpes al cambio , a parte que has perdido mucho tiempo y velocidad te as quedado 2 segundos sin acelerar si hubiera uno automático a tu lado haciendo lo mismo te habría dado la pasada de tu vida incluso con menos potencia
@wapos se guardi la velocità ha più spunto un 1,5 di un 2,0 TDI cioè da 0 a 100 un 2,0 ci mette 8.5 sec mentre un 1,5 8.2 questo e un dato di fatto basta che vai a leggere su le informazioni della Golf .

There is an even bigger difference at higher speeds because the VW in the Golf lies a lot on the speedometer

More on the eco side, also if you floor both, 1.5>>>1.0, doesn't matter how much nm you have at the start with 1.0 engine.
@@L0vac Yes, all out the 1.5 will be faster, but there are other drivetrains in this class that have shorter, more pleasent gear ratios.
totally wrong, for everyday use you dont want to change gears all the time. this gearing is bad for hard acceleration
