In the Cantonese dub, Dola said the act of Sheeta sacrificing herself to save Pazu (the boy she cares for) was so noble, just like Dola herself when she was young, then told her boys "Marry a woman like me if you find a wife", then her replied "It's hard to find one like you, Mom" 😂

My god, the german voices in this movie are just so good. I wish all the animes today would have such great voice acting. Its so rare in Germany
Naja, in den Neunzigern und frühen 2000ern war die deutsche Synchro für Anime absolute Spitze.
Hat leider seitdem nachgelassen, wobei es immer noch mal hier mal da gutes gibt.

The French version is very realistic, the English one is too cartoonish, this movie deserved a better English dub

It sure does follow the tone of the character on the screen.
For me the English dub voice of pazu is the best.
I think the english dub did a good job in conveying each of the characters voice. But that fine people have thier preference.
Same in German. English is not authentic enough

Van Der Beek's voice acting for Pazu is right up there as one of the worst. Pazu is supposed to be a 12-year-old child, and Disney tried to make him sound more teenage. But Van Der Beek's performance is so flat and sounds like he's got the flu/a blocked nose the whole time. Just awful. Truly awful.
