The entire album from whence this track originates 'Powerage' is one of their best imo. I was a 9yo boy in australia at the height of the 70's greatness. They are unofficial rock royalty in Australia. Anthemic
Bons ripped pants, i forget which song , but he does a quick squat, and he quickly jumps up and reaches back and turns his head to look at the back of his jeans
First time seeing them was1991, 4 other times since... I loved AC/DC but never saw videos or live performances. So seeing Angus and the band the first time, I head banged and and laughed the entire time... great great fun show. I know one thing: I I choice any other career path in my life, I would be a different person and have different life experiences, than who I am today, but I know I would definitely be listening to AC/DC 😀
AC/DC was an energy machine back in the day, late 70's. They just put on a tremendous show, absolutely rocked every place they played. You can look up a recent interview with Steve Perry (original Journey vocalist) where he recalls AC/DC opening for them in 1978, and he couldn't believe it. He said 'We have to go on after that!?', lol. They were terrified, and said they got spanked bad every night by AC/DC. He laughed, said it was awful, lol. They were that powerful,
More Bon Scott!!!!! Ain't No Fun Waiting Around To Be A Millionare, Ride On, Shot Down In Flames, Beating Around The Bush, Get It Hot, If You Want Blood, Riff Raff, Touch Too Much, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, TNT, High Voltage, Jailbreak, Bad Boy Boogie, Go Down, Dog Eat Dog, Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be, Crabsody In Blue, Love At First Feel, Rocker, There's Gonna Be Some Rockin, Squealer, Gimme A Bullet, What's Next To The Moon!!!❤❤❤
Thanks for the reaction to this... truly the peak live ACDC experience with Bon Scott. You couldn't unplug Angus Young in the 70's, ACDC literally stole every live performance in those days even though they were often the opening act for some big groups. This song is an under rated ACDC hit, but it is one of the best live performances you can find. Try their opener "Live Wire" from this same Paris concert.
Angus moves very little off stage, he’s quiet and very humble but once that school uniform goes on, he’s a different animal. Also me and wife got married in Vegas 😂
He does it because he has a huge fear of being on stage and looking at audiences. So he started doing the head banging. The dancing is a form of homage to his biggest influence, Chuck Berry and his "duck walk".
According to his brothers , Malcolm and George, when ever they put a guitar in his hands he just took off, jumping over couches and running everywhere.......when old enough to actually play, he kept running and moving. They have joked that he can't play if he stands still. lol
@@Rassskle 😅 That's so funny. Even not being super familiar with AC/DC, I know that's just what he does so I can believe it. I can't even picture him still!
Just discovered your channel Nikki, and so glad I did. Amazing reactions, and even better commentary. I really like your open and positive attitude towards what you're seeing. I strongly recommend (sorry to be that guy) any live performances with Brian Johnson (try '81, '96, or '03; River Plate's just done way too much). I also recommend Jeff Healey if you're looking to mix it up
The Midnight Special was a really good show. I used to wait all week for it and Don Kirschner’s Rock Concert and the show In Concert. It was our MTV before MTV.
U said it perfectly... Bon Scott had the 'swagger' and 'attitude' in AC/DC. He really was the real deal rock star... Angus Young (lead guitar) is the band's mascot and Bon Scott was the frontman... Offstage, the other members of AC/DC were very private and low-key... Bon Scott was the sociable one; he was the one who would talk to the fans, hang out at bars and clubs, and hook up w/ the female fans. His death in 1980 was a huge loss to the band and the early AC/DC fans who idolized Bon Scott... 'Sin city' was released in 1978 from the 'Powerage' album... a record which marked a bit of a change w/ AC/DC, making a groove-oriented record instead of 'big guitars' like their 1977 album 'Let there be rock'... UK fans didn't like that record as much and 'Powerage' is the least selling AC/DC record w/ Bon Scott on vocals... Songs like - "Gone shootin' " ... "Rock n' roll damnation"... "Down payment blues"... Still, 'Powerage' sold 250K copies in the US in 1978 without any radio or media promotion... purely on touring. AC/DC had their naysayers in the music industry in the 70's; their US label refused to release their 1976 album 'Dirty deeds done dirt cheap' (which sold 7x platinum in the US when finally released in 1981) ... They showed their label their potential in 1977 w/ 'Let there be rock' and toured the USA for the first time... For the album 'Powerage', American radio stations refused to promote it, calling it an 'uncommercial record'... Radio stations were forced to promote radio singles from the next album 'Highway to Hell' in 1979 because of fan demand... and it became AC/DC first gold selling record in the USA.
That move is invated by Chuck Barry, it's called Duck Walk...this track is from their best album ever Powerage...on that album you have to me their best song ever created Gone Shootin'...you should listen to Hells Bells song, it's legend song!
I will have to check those out, thank you! And yeah! someone else said about the Duck Walk too. I was unfamiliar with Chuck Barry's version of it so I had to find a video and yep, identical!
Here a story about Bon. In the 1970ies the band waited on him in London for recording sessions. He was still in Australia. His mum put him personally into the plane. But Bon didn't arrive. The band was concerned. After one week Bon appeared in London, bar chested, no T Shirt, in shorts - it was winter time. The band asked him "Where the heck have you been?" Bon answered "I don't know. I think I followed a beautiful girl who got off the plane in Bangkok".
theres a movie/doku called "let there be rock".its the whole concert in paris, with some clips between with interviews, showing them "off stage" and so on.worth to own it.
Hello beautiful I was 17 years young at that time Junior high School and I happen to have AC DC live if You want Blood you've got it their entire lives album and yes this was on it
Hi Nikki, In case you're wondering about original lead singer Bon Scott's accent, It's Australian, They're from Australia 🇦🇺, They formed in Sydney, Australia, in 1973, Bon Scott was actually born in Forfar, Scotland before moving to Fremantle, Australia, Lead guitarist Angus Young, Who's in the schoolboy outfit was born in Glasgow, Scotland, along with older brother Malcolm who is on rhythm guitar here, Both moved to Sydney, Australia when they were young, Then they formed the band in 1973 😀😀🤘🤘🎸🎸 PS ,Nikki AC/DC are touring America starting in April next year, They might be near you 😀☝️🤘🤘🎸🎸
Ac/dc with bon Scott were at their peak..yes back in black was/is great.. personally I like better the bon era much better than the brian era..you should check the this whole concert...
Angus Young's idol is a child was a gentleman that came out before named Chuck Berry he does that Chuck Berry off with one leg his biggest hit was Johnny b Goode
Yeah, there are no acoustic performances with AC/DC, just high voltage rock n roll. You want to see a slowed down song with them react to the Jack for your next video.
hey noob , im going to subscribe ok! remenber bon scott= top 3 front man ever , and more he is a real metal singer , brian will never touch this! so tanks from brazil u welcome , the line to you = jailbreak
the one thing you'll never hear from acdc is an acoustic performance. as the name implies, their sound is strictly electric guitars. everything they do in the studio can be done live. it's a simple formula, and it works for them.
This whole concert is a must watch !! The live in Paris " Let There Be Rock " tour. You can see see it all on youtube.
Acdcliveinparis.
The entire album from whence this track originates 'Powerage' is one of their best imo. I was a 9yo boy in australia at the height of the 70's greatness. They are unofficial rock royalty in Australia. Anthemic
Agreed...actually my favorite from the boys.
Oh I bet! That's cool that you got to grow up listening to them like that!
The band at their absolute peak in 1979. Never sounded better than the late '70s.
At the height of their Power!
Powerage - My favourite of all AC/DC albums. A masterpiece
Any song from this video is worth a watch, especially "The Jack", "Bad Boy Boogie" & "Rocker".
Bon (powdered by whiskey) & Angus (powdered by tea)…legendary
Bons ripped pants, i forget which song , but he does a quick squat, and he quickly jumps up and reaches back and turns his head to look at the back of his jeans
one of my fav acdc tunes that never gets the love it deserves
I can see why it's one of your favorites. 😊

Saw them in 77 and 78, they were electric. Had goosebumps, which doesn't happen very often to me.
Sin City is a great song.....one of their best.
Yep Angus never stops even at his age now just a pure beast I honestly think arthritis is scared of Angus 😂

Thank you for watching! And I will add Live Wire to my list if I don't already have it on there, thank you! 😁
Live Wire is a must see!!!!
That seems like a common request. 🤨 I might have to do that one soon!
Great reaction - Merry Christmas Nikki 🤘🎅🤘
Thank you! I know this is a bit late but I hope you had a nice holiday season as well! 😊💛🎵
@nikkireviews thanks Nikki, I did despite getting made redundant on 31st December!
Next to Live Wire is this the best AC/DC Song!!!! 🙂
Your smile says it all ... early AC/DC (Acca Dacca as they are known down in Aussie Land) with Bon , Angus and Malcolm was just a whole Lotta Fun.
Great song. You can't go wrong with Bon Scott era AC/DC
True, but you also can't go wrong with Brian Johnson era AC/DC frankly....it's fucking AC/DC FFS!
69 years old and Angus is almost the same today or what most people would love to be able to do at 69
Angus moves very little off stage, he’s quiet and very humble but once that school uniform goes on, he’s a different animal. Also me and wife got married in Vegas 😂
Judas Priest opened for them... what a show!!

There is another live version of this song on an American show called the Midnight special that is 🔥
The Midnight Special was a really good show. I used to wait all week for it and Don Kirschner’s Rock Concert and the show In Concert. It was our MTV before MTV.
I'll be sure to check that out!
Yeah baby

Cool reaction Nikki. I’d love it if you react to AC/DC’s Shot Down in Flames next up 👍

Another AC/DC video this week? Hmmm, Christmas week.... "Mistress For Christmas"??
Yeah, there are no acoustic performances with AC/DC, just high voltage rock n roll. You want to see a slowed down song with them react to the Jack for your next video.
I will have to make note of that, thanks! 😊🎵
@nikkireviews other slow tunes from them is Gone Shootin' and Ride On

I really don't think you're even listening. I think you look at this band as an oddity, or an amusement, but it doesn't hit you like it should.
