    Someya's a very interesting character. He doesn't have any tattoos, which is supposed to mark him as a new age businessman styled yakuza, but in the end, fighting and willing to die for his ideals and to protect those that he loves, he truly becomes an old school yakuza; the kind Kiryu grew up with and grew around and respected. That gives this fight another level of thrilling imo.

      I had an idea floating around in my head a while back about what a Someya final boss would have looked like. The game ends as normal, but Someya tracks down Kiryu, takes off his shirt and reveals the outlines of a tattoo, saying that killing him will be how he becomes a true Yakuza. Then the fight happens.

    One thing I like about Kiryu is how chad he was.
    He never had moment like “NOOO,I DON’T WAMMA FIGHT YOU CAUSE YOU ARE MY FRIEND!” when had to fight his friend or frenemies(Majima don’t count,That dude is pure batshit crazy,I’m talking about normal one).He always do what he has to do,He always fight like he does.
    This prove how worthy Dragon of Dojima name are.
    Like in this video,Someya become frenemies and help him sometimes,But when he was forced to fight,He always did what he always do,Fight like dragon.

    • @Faceu7745
      @Faceu7745 Год назад +3

      @@we-must-live Yeah but you lost 90% the charm and feeling of the franchise by doing so. Yakuza is a series that is designed and writted to be played chronologically. Yakuza 6 specifically its the last of the kiryu saga and it means a lot and hits like a truck if you played all the games from 0 to 5. I mean of course you can but i seriously dont see any value playing the franchise that way....

    • @we-must-live
      @we-must-live Год назад +1

      @@Faceu7745 is it really designed to be played chronologically, though? i understand that the characters exist and develop over the sequels, but every story is contained within itself, excluding some leakage into the next game. Kiryu teams up with Nishiki to beat down the dojo with Majima, next game Nishiki is the bad guy and Majima the deuterantagonist, next game the Nishikiyama family is a threat and Majima's still there. if it were truly designed and written to be played chronologically it'd have more development between sequels than repeated locations and characters.
      don't get me wrong, i love these games, but don't shame someone for jumping into the newest game without having to play through every game beforehand.
      and hell, i'd be with you if they really made kiryu do something drastic after finally getting to the big bad final boss - if he had killed him there after all we had seen from y0 onwards, it would have had a much bigger impact and tied the entire story of the dragon together... but now he's just the "man without a name" yet plenty of people still recognize him and his name.

    • @Faceu7745
      @Faceu7745 Год назад +5

      @@we-must-live did you played from 0 to 6? because i dont understand your point. Yeah of course a story starts in one game and it ends in the same game, but i see it more like the arcs in a shonen manga. A shonen manga isnt written to be enjoyed by watching arcs separately, its like one big journey with the same or new characters, in one cohesive world. Just like Yakuza. You see Kiryu's development, daigo becoming a chairman, Saejima's development, Kamurocho changing a bit every game, years passing, haruka growing up... I mean... Haruka is good example of this, the best example.

This is a battle between ideals and spirits , a battle between willings . Even if the yakuza series gameplay combat it is very simple and sometimes i could say lazy programmed , the character arc constructions give them another level of weight to these fights . Man the music it is so epic too with those fight cutcenes .
