Makes me wanna tear up when people like that mom think they're damned because of a mortal sin they did. Thanks be to God that Jesus died for our sins so we could be with him when we repent and go to confession for forgiveness.
Maybe they have all the guilt because they know in their heart that they aren't good enough to go to heaven. And they are correct. No one is good enough to go to Heaven and no sacraments, no obedience, no works, nothing we can do can help us in any way to get to Heaven. Our part is realize we're sinners and put our faith in what Jesus Christ has done for us. After we're saved, we begin to obey and work on those areas of our lives that are sinful or lacking by the power of thr Holy Spirit. I grew up Catholic but they never taught me Salvation was by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ there. They wanted me to be saved through their religious system and not through Christ Alone like the Bible teaches. I hope there are Catholics out there reaching out to all the misled guilty feeling Catholics who know in their heart the Catholic Gospel has zero power to save. I could never know how I stood with God in that Catholic system because I was honest with myself and what I was taught. If it is taught that Salvation requires any amount of obedience, sacramental efforts, or works then what Jesus Christ did on the cross is diminished and there is no Salvation at all through that teaching. Salvation is a gift! 🎁
even though God forgives, we still carry the effects of sin with us, which need to be rectified. just because you've confessed your sin to a priest does NOT mean the sin is over. that's even in the catechism.
I just saw your last video of you making fun of "woke" people and here you are talking about shame and guilt. Do you actually read your bible and follow Gods word?
