I woke up this morning and read bad news in our province and it through me into a panic state. Even after I said the Rosary. I was distracted in my rosary. I really needed to hear this today.🙏 prayers for joy for everyone who is going through this crazy stuff in our world.
Such an appropriate message. I try to avoid all news until I have my prayer time completed. However, doesn't always work for me. One article leads to many. I complained to my husband how so much bad news pops up when I read one article and it socks me in and bothers me. Such an important message to avoid these areas or focus twice as much on the Lord. So True! I love story, I stay away from drama. Being surrounded by "chicken littles' the sky is falling" people doesn't help, stay away from those and surround yourself with positive people. A hard thing but so worthwhile!

Thank you, Chris! I stopped watching mainstream news a LONG time ago. They are not truthful and are biased and unbalanced. Our HOPE AND TRUST should be in Our Lord Jesus Christ! “DO NOT FEAR FOR I AM WITH YOU”…..HE will NEVER abandon us! GOOD will always overcome evil! Keep the faith, brothers and sisters🙏🏻✝️
Because of my childhood environment I was fear city for a lot of years. I worked hard on my spiritual life and trust in God. I really recognized fear as the devil's tool. I monitored what came into my head. Something important is that other people in your life want you to be afraid because your joy and peace make them very uncomfortable. Walking away from fear takes a lot of work and courage to be swimming against the tide, but it is well worth it. Praise God from whom all blessings flow.

Chris I think we need to spread the truth and it really bothers us Christians, why the church and all of us are not speaking up and pointing out the lies and stopping Satan from destroying our country. Even in the Bible we see many of God's warriors fighting for the truth, the light and God's word, when are we going to stand up for God!!! The bad news bothers me for just a few seconds and my love for God and standing up for truth quickly kicks in and the true joy we get from believing in God rules in my heart, mind and soul!! Let's stand up for God and be Armors of God, let's defeat evil!!!
DD, I agree with you. The “click bait” of bad news (not to include Church heresy) is simply “suffering” to be offered up. However, heresy was just as prevalent in the early Church, perhaps more than today. To ignore it is to comment the sin of omission. We are called to fight THIS BAD NEWS! Good priests and bishops are being silenced. It time for the laity to fight back against the heresy of today’s secular relativism and some who wish to accommodate it like the German Synodal Weg.
It is very true. Must remain in the joy and peace within Jesus Christ. As much as we need to acknowledge what's going on in the world we are in, don't dwell in it. Keep our focus on Lord Jesus.

I stopped watching 95+ % of what I use to watch on TV - news, sports, sitcoms, ... everything. especially political news. At first, it left a huge void in me. I then read in a devotional how the emptiness was God uncluttering my mind and heart for better things. Now, almost everything I watch is Christian, spiritual or philosophical in nature. This has been one of the most positive impacting changes in my life. I am being freed from the worldly negative and destructive forces! God can make all things good and, in Christ, all things are possible!
This was great Chris. I made a choice not to watch news. ie Fox CNN etc. I turn the news on RUclips to see if the world is falling apart and I find only Washington is. Same stuff different day. Daily Mass and Eucharist keeps me focused on the Good News

After the Capitol riot, I finally had enough. No more news on television. Just emails from a few reliable sources (that pile up in my inbox:) I was tired of being outraged, frustrated and depressed over what's going on. The media does the devil's work, by spreading lies and dividing us. We're here to love God and love each other. God meant for us to have joy, and I refuse to let anything take that away from me! What's even worse is those who just read the headline and believe that it isn't clickbait. I have seen quite a few articles where the real story didn't show up until the last paragraph.
