They may not know it, but I consider these fellas friends of mine as well. They've rocked my house a few times and been so rowdy the neighbors got upset, and they've walked to school with me in the quiet mornings, and we still sit around and drink beer together from time to time.
❤
Commenting so can come back and enjoy this all while letting the bullshit fade away for awhile.... New Mexico love!!!!!!!
This is now my go-to “happy place” song. 🙂
glad to hear, we all need some happy place music of late!
I can't get enough of this band! I've been lucky enough to see them 4 times, and every time it's an inspiring concert; just some talented guys getting up there and doing what they do. Hopefully i'll get to see you guys on my birthday in Bemidji!
CAITLIN ; Don’t let the haters get you down , Their envious and really jealous, Some of them are even racist ! But it’s like this as long as they’re making noise you’re doing something very right ! I love your style and swagger you carry, And your amazing confidence in all that you do ! Can’t hardly wait to see you back on the floor and in the WNBA for your first game ! You remind me of pistol Pete back when he played he drew in the crowds of people like you do, He said he loved to entertain the people that bought tickets ! And there were nights when they didn’t have enough seats, And CAITLIN your the same way, and your handling the pressure much like Pete did, when you go in the game for the first time, relax we’re not expecting miracles every time you touch the ball, Go out and have fun, entertaining all your fans ! We’re gonna be with you all the way for years to come ! Good Luck and keep GOD in your heart ! Play hard and show us that smile as often as you can !
This song is evidence of production and quality meets talent good job guys!
Wow...love it!
just started listening to these guys recently, awesome band
I want to learn how to play the banjo so so so bad!
Do it
Great show at the Metro (Chicago) 4/13.
sweet vid.nice tunes
as a duluthian I'd say this is mostly true. I'd describe it as more of a conservative small town that also has a strong progressive/liberal scene
I think it looks like break music like that redkit musics..
Terriffic!!!!!
Waterbed maybe? ;-)
Howdy folks, I'm a 40 year old good ol' boy life long Texan. Let me say it dont make a damn where you're from, these fellows do it right. Great song, please keep it up, and the great state of Texas loves us some turtles
I'm from the Californian deserts, and this made me tear up
We are like neighbors.
I’m in Louisiana. I have probably traveled to Texas more than any other state! 💜 these guys are awesome!
Salutations from southwest texas
They get down huh bud?
Howdy my fellow Texan, out here in the hill country we sure love this great music and company!

Victory
All of us lonely, it ain't a sin
To want something better, then the shape your in
The rain came at the break of day
Your light in the windowpane, said come on in
It's a broken heart babe, I know the sound
Feels like your hands, are nailed to the ground
But it'll pass just like everything else
You won't let it get to me, the next time around
It's a hard earn victory
The life that come from you to me
Can never be wrong
Grown from a moment and a million miles
Here lies the stardust and it slowly dies
Borrowed from nothing come back half alive
And the stars the whisper blessings me as you walk by
Edit: Could never be wrong
And Blessings Be
Thank you very much for sharing the lyrics with us! I'm non-English country so I always need lyrics. Thank you so much! 🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤
Super new to this band. Metal head at heart. My fuck am I hooked!
This is indeed bluegrass and country...bluegrass is a type of country music with strong roots in American folk music. The three are not mutually exclusive
Tim Browning This band is such a beautiful blend of that pure americana.
Tunes is tunes.
Precisely. Such a beautiful sound. To think I stumbled upon this, I'm soo damn lucky. Victory reminds me of my mom. I miss her everyday like crazy.
Filmed in my house prior to renovation. So cool
Actually?
That is really cool man!! These guys got it going on! Especially that fiddle player!! Loving that here!!
Am loving both this song and those turrets on your home When was it built? 1880's? 1890's?
Good thing you got all that lead paint out! Especially if you guys have kids!
Don't listen to him, he's lying
I like turtles
Funny
I like zombies
Me too
I like trains.
I like dirt
One of the best “written” songs ever imho..., lyrically it sings to my soul. Thank you Dave n crew for this
This house belongs to one of my best friends... I helped do some work on it and remember when it was still in this shape. Crazy seeing this, and then thinking about it now, filled with kids and bustling with energy.
😲
For real?? 🤔

Where's the band gone?
"Borrowed from nothing, came back half alive." I love that quote. Really not sure exactly what it means, but yeah.
nordic fella Indeed it is.
Feel it's about the same as a line, "we're equalitarians with empty hands" from a totally different song. Like we took what was necessary but came out with work still to put in. I love the, "it's a hard earned victory" line.
Didn't take any help...barely survived.
Came from nothing n nowhere started out that way survived to come back to their beginning they realized something about themselves n their lives, they made it threw their trials
First heard this song during a turning point in my life. Found it to be uplifting, painful, & bittersweet. Simply beautiful.
playing the air violin in bed. any one else??
hahaa! the visual.
strait face only.
Sorry i was doing a very tiny air guitar... The mandolin =D
we almost have a full band. air banjo here.
I'll join. I lip sink every time I hear this song.
Bobby Vaughan yup and swallowing bows too.
I feel like the banjo player tried out Scruggs/Dillard picking when he first picked it up, and then said "Fuck it, I'll just flatpick the shit outta' this thing".
More importantly than what genre this is: you shouldn't care what genre this is. If you like it, remember it. If you don't, stop reading comments and solidifying a current of negativity in your brain.
I couldn't agree more to what you said. You hit that point right on the dot!
ivckins I think it's more trying to associate it with similar artists, it's nice to be a click away from 100s of artists that you like.
Totally valid point, Moses. Discussion is one thing, fighting is another. I guess I didn't really clarify when I wrote that awhile ago, I was speaking somewhat generally about all the bickering on YT :)
That was not deep at all...
Damn skippy
I really dig you guys a lot. I'm a blue grass fiddler down here in eastern MO, and love the sound you guys make. I know you did a cover of arcade fire but do you guys ever think about covering Osborne Brothers? Don't know if you read these comments a lot but I sure would love to here back from you.
Andrew
Can't wait to see these guys tonight at Red Rocks in Denver! Go Turtles!
Steve Rinella brought me here. Glad I came.
When did Rinella recommend these guys? I'm a fan.
@@therealdude1 He had the singer on his podcast as few months ago. Episode 235
Came across this song because it plays it in the restaurant I currently work at- had to Shazam it. So great!
Heh- "It'll pass just like everything else", says the song, while one of them is swallowing a bow. Well, with enough fiber, I guess anything is possible!
😆😂😆
Great observation… & a hellova funny comment!!
"borrowed from nothing, come back half alive" i dont know what that line means but I think about it often
Heywud Jablome I think he means that when you love someone you invest your life into them. When you feel like you invested for nothing it takes a part of you with it. They borrowed you and you come back half alive.
Charlie Conlin that's what I gather as well. I find myself coming back to this song every time I struggle with love life issues
Why is it that TBT seems to speak to you when your heart hurts? Before i was married I would often go back to "wait so long" and the opening lines always stuck with me "I could never pretend that I don't love you could never pretend that I'm your man that's exactly the way that I want it that's exactly the way that I am" I married that woman years later... There is hope!
I’d like to thank a random instagram reel for introducing me to this band. I can’t believe I missed out for so long.
I am a transplant. Duluthian in blood , now, in Nebraska. I sometimes wistfully listen to TBT & get a bit teary. I miss my town. But, am bound by family restraints.
nothing worse than youtube comments about music. You either like it or you dont. I like turtles.
turtles are cool, both kinds!
dafuq I just read?
psycho?
The comment sections on music videos are almost entirely positive. This video is no exception.
I enjoyed the music, but it was the cinematography for this video that truly put a big ol' smile on my face. Thanks for the whimsy, folks!
This band. I just love them. I wish they would come to Montreal or a Canadian city not too far away...
Awesome band, amazing song.
You guys have a new fan down here in Melbourne Australia.
I grew up in WV and am related to Tony Rice who came to our family reunions and let me tell you these guys are the real deal!! A family line of players!! Bravo guys!! Carry on!!! Lovin' the fiddle in this one man!! You got it goin' on!!!
My High school pal was Tony Rice's Grandson. Such a talented man.
Fantastic off the wall music video, by Trampled by Turtles. They are amazing phenomenal bluegrass group. I hope to see them live someday.
They are so much fun to see live. I highly recommend it.
They're on tour now. So good live.
travis karnes saw them live in Portsmouth nh in a park for 8$ on my birthday, it was frigen great
I live in and am from Duluth, MN. I've seen them live since they started. Great show, trampled fans are the best.
Best live show I’ve seen in along time at the Greek Theatre in LA this Fall. Brought tears to my eyes.
Amazing music guys. Your songs got me all the way to Alaska in a half broke truck.
Everytime I hear this song it hits me as if I were hearing it for the first time.
This song is so uplifting.
Creative and talented .......These guys are the real deal and true musicians
Absolutely outstanding .......
How great would these picking perfected engineers sound headline in Slane Castle!
This song holds a special place in me and my wife’s hearts. We got married today and this song was played as we walked down the aisle as a married couple.
The lyrics capture the happiness and hope we have for our bright future.
Hope your marriage is going strong
nice username, solid comment
you had time to comment on a youtube video on your wedding day?

Check out the new vid from our singer Dave, hope you like. @
Hearing the word stardust and banjos behind it are such a beautiful thing.
It's a broken heart babe, I know the sound

Listening to this I feel like driving through the Wyoming high plains...prairie, sage, Rockies in sight...
So glad to see folks continuing and then adding onto the wonderful world of Bluegrass.
Bluegrass Forever as the bumperstickers say. GO you young whippersnappers! Cool song. Thanks.
This was the song that I heard after I lost everything. Perfect timing. So much tragedy yet so much hope. A blank slate.
Just saw your name on a festival poster that Cody Jinks had posted and thought..what an awesome name for a band. Then discovery ya'll bunch of speed demons..
👊😎⚡
Ya'll just got another fan
Saw you guys at Red Rocks July 2022. Love that you played this and Wait So Long. Place was packed, wonderful show.
So good, greats from Brasil xD
More like Duluth,MN
@reyesj100 How dare you put Taylor Swift in the same category as Trampled By Turtles! You should be ashamed
this makes my heart smile.
the banjo is amazing
Thank you God!!! I finally found the Band copes with my personality vs the extreme countryside of my area. These guys are simply incredible, it's only a shame I only found out about them now. Thanks to Spotify I have found my band that will make me seem normal among my class mates.
This song makes me shed tears every time. Miss you John Henry Brown 🙏
The racist politician from Texas?
The banjo was brought to America from Africa. The number of African Americans playing the banjo today= 0.
I love this goin' fishing, canoeing down a waterfall, fighting grizzly bears bare-fisted, bluegrass music!
Give it to me bluegrass 💯
wow, what a cool video too. a genuine unraveling of the simple human existence. or something like that..
7 people listen to Taylor Swift..
Looks a little like Adam Jones stop motion music videos from Tool. Great song pleasant surprise

Err my gerd. Yer the best damn fiddle player! Yer all bad ass music slingers too!
Eugh, where does bluegrass fall under in genres then? Such as Dubstep is electronic music. Screamo is punk technically, or it comes from it. Bluegrass comes from country, hence you can technically count it as country. Because it is. But calling that is somewhat an insult.
The South needs to be reminded of no such thing. Dont blame us for the crap New York producers residing in Nashville call country. We have many great groups that you only need to seek out to find the true southern state of country...and the true southern state of mind.
LOVE TBT & love stop motion, so this video is fantastic! Floating people, swallowing bows, different shadows - well done! Although I love the videos, nothing beats seeing you guys live!
They all look like they could of grown up in the house or one like it.
Bluegrass does not come from country...it comes from old Celtic folk songs handed down generation to generation. It comes from Appalachia.....country comes from bluegrass.
MN MUSIC!!!
These guys keep cranking it out. Pedal to the metal!!
It's true that he doesn't know good music, but he is in a sense right regarding the genre- TBT is bluegrass-influenced, but distinct from 'pure' bluegrass.
Good music. Can't beat the old string bluegrass with a twist
flightparamedic505 progressive bluegrass
I stumbled upon this band looking for music blogs about deer ticks album war elephant about 2 years back. Still one of my favorite bands to listen to whether im love struck or love sick. Incredible folk band!
oh dear sir there is nothing wrong with taylor swift but i do concur with your hypothesis that people like this should be awarded
Thanks so much. I forgot how much fun stop action animation is. Time consuming, but the finished product is great.
@ncodyn go online and listen to the Current, its an indie rock station in Minneapolis and they are always on. The station rocks
THIS......IS....BLUEGRASS!!!!!
Amazing
Loosing the houes i was raised in my grand father built it with his bare hands ,music to remeniss to
Got to see em live at the Newport in Dayton Ohio recently. Show was amazing they did a cover of the night they drove ol dixie down at the end of the show was fantastic Im super cereal.
Pretty sure everyone (bar you of course) would happily agree it's bluegrass, that's what they list themselves as
I like stop motion, but the whole video?! I liked the vid for 'Wait So Long' more. See ya guys Saturday in Kato!

@HER0forHire Its still out there man, just gotta look in the right place. IT doesnt all suck i promise.
