I love Lecrae, and I got a Sewing Machine for Christmas, so I'm really glad tht you make your videos so well, Thanks amy ♥ Also, I like how you put scriptures a the end of your videos, God Bless!
Hey Amy, I'm a total newbie to this, so excuse me if my question sounds a bit silly, but what would be the application of this seam compared to the other? What is the context for a mock and a normal French seam, and with which types of clothing should I use either? Thanks and God bless :)
they're great questions! the french seam is a lighter seam so it can be used for light weight fabric, unlike the mock french seam, its a little thicker and that one would not be used for light weight fabrics :) its all up to you and which one would suit better for your type of fabric and depending on what you're making :)

Very Interesting this video! I imagined that this could be a book cover to preserve a special book like the bible or a journal cover with your own stitch and cloth. How do you do a book cover made out of cloth ? My mother taught me the really old fashion way with a brown bag or some decorative paper but with a cloth I never knew up until I saw this video that reminded me of a book cover.
+Nancy Gayed I found this link while googling this question you had because I also wanted the answer and I found this to be very insightful and useful. Hope it helps! www.craftsy.com/blog/2013/05/seam-series-how-to-sew-a-french-seam/

Hi Doll, I'm freshly new to actually making anything legit and all. My question is; can I use the French seem or the Mock French in making a corset?
ivan morales yeah of course :D
question: what is a french seam specifically used for? can you use it on anything or are there do's and don'ts for this type of seam?
