I taught myself how to sew and I didn't know at all how to do a corded seam or a french seam. Thanks a lot. I can't really afford sewing classes but thanks to your videos I can still improve my skills and learn some basic techniques I should have learned if I had a teacher instead of learning by my own. Thanks :).
QUESTION: Do you have to put the cord on the bias of the fabric? What if the "fabric" doesn't have a bias, like leather, suede or some other non-woven fabric?
it doesn't sound dumb :) ill be doing a video on that too :) but i would say to focus on the edge you're sewing, don't look at the needle because thats when we get off track.
I want to make a slip over cover for my American flag so when it's rolled up on the pole it will be protected. Its a 3'X5' flag on a 6' pole. I am a Patriot Guard Rider, so the flag is on the back of my motorcycle. I need to keep it covered on my way to a funeral until I get there. Can you show me the best way to do it? Thank you very much. (I never sewed in my life lol)

You can still make it work, the bias helps it go through the curves if you’re sewing something with corners
I'm probably gonna sound like a dummy, but I struggle so much when hemming a circular edge. Any tips?!
