    I received a sewing machine for Christmas (and have been really wanting to learn and master the craft), and your videos so far have been SO helpful. I'm working on practicing my lines like the way you showed and it's REALLY good practice. I wish you luck in your journey through fashion school! I'm sure you'll be hearing from me more in your videos' comments. Feliz Navidad y Prospero Ano, chica!

    This is great! One of the issues I"m having right now is I'm trying to make hooded towels. On the hooded towels, I have to sew a decorative ribbon (which is about 1 inch wide) on a spot where the towel is folded (so the fabric isn't exactly level). Any tips for sewing straight in this situation?

    Hi Amy... absolutely love your video.... I'm still watching but I had to pause to make this comment before I lose the thought. I'm a novice in every sense of the word and I noticed you started using a special ruler... what's the right name for that? Also I noticed on some videos where people put their material on a special table with grid lines.... what's that called too? In essence can you tell me what the tools of the trade are so that I can get started on projects effectively? Because when you go into patterns I would like to be able to follow. Otherwise from that really lovely. Please let me know cause I'll be learning from you.

    • @craftyamy93
      @craftyamy93  10 лет назад

      thank you so much! :D a stainless steel ruler or the other one i use is a clear grid ruler :)...the grid line matt is called a self healing cutting matt :)

      Thanks. One last thing. How much space do we need to work with. For beginners with not much to work with do you recommend the dining table and for those who have the financial resources to do so what type of table do you recommend?

    • @craftyamy93
      @craftyamy93  10 лет назад

      Michelle Clayton-Brown i recommend the floor haha thats what i do, i feel like tables bother me for certain things, but thats just me :) do whatever feels comfortable to you..try the floor and the dining table and see what you like :)
