Great review! I had already pulled the trigger on one of these in the Hulk colorway but this has made me feel really good about my choice and I’m even more excited now for it to arrive!
Just ordered a two toned rose gold and steel with a blue ceramic bezel after watching this. Thank you for a very detailed review. Keep up the excellent work.
I just received the new version, a black gradient one without date. Overall the quality is great, everything looks and feels magnificent. The only thing I do not like are proportions, somehow this 41mm looks much bigger because of the narrow bezel and indices located on the edge, it looks even bigger than 42mm Hamilton Pan Europ. Still, a magnificent watch that came regulated and very well packed, everything feels high quality and very well made. The bracelet is ok, it is not sharp on the edges, maybe on the end links when the bracelet is removed, for example Strapcode bracelet for the Alpinist was much sharper everywhere. The crown feels a little bit sharp, still not a problem at all as the watch finish is great. Overall I am satisfied, the price was good, the size and specs are great even with its strange proportions, it checks many boxes really so it is easy to recommend it.
Congrats! Thanks for sharing your thoughts. It does have a lot of dial presence. I'd have preferred the no-date version as well, though not a strong preference. I agree about the bracelet. It's not the watch's strongest element, though not bad either. Cheers
That's a bummer. It's well within movement specs but faster than I've usually experienced. You might want to try demagnetizing it, just to be safe. Usually they run much faster, but I've seen it settle down some in this range too. Cheers
I don't generally track regulation, unless there's a noteworthy variance, as I typically don't wear the same watch for more than one day. Miyota movements typically perform well and far exceed stated tolerances. Wise lume performance is very strong and endures well.
Understandable. That part is unfortunate on an overall great watch for the money. Agreed, the Adamascus line looks to be excellent as well. I'm impressed with Wise so far. Cheers
How about Wise Froschmann [German translation Frogman] there is some tenuous relevance! I have this watch and the build is exceptionally good thankfully my eyesight isn't as good as once was and I can ignore Hitman😉
I like it 😁 Agreed, that is a (somewhat minor) misstep on an otherwise excellent watch, particularly for the price. That's too funny 😂 There's always a bright side. Cheers
In the pantheon of bad Trademarks the Wise Hitman is only beaten by the Exiticon (watch/dildo) andthe exitingly nomenclatured Swiss Watch Company, Im thinking of buying a Chrono Unique NovoTactical Swole, in carbon and black rubber because I think it adaquately reflects just how incredibly butch I am.
It is an unfortunate misstep on an otherwise great watch. I'd love to see them offer a V2 without the dial labeling, even if they retain the model name. Cheers
@@JonathanTReviews Yup, that's what Jody said, part of my irritation derives from the fact that I actually think, as you obviously do that it's a handsome and well specced peice.
Thanks for watching! Agreed, featuring the name on the dial was the only real misstep with this one. I still enjoyed it enough (especially at the price) to highly recommend the watch itself, but I'd very much prefer to lose the "Hitman" dial badging. Cheers
It just feels too boring to me and with current prices on glycine I would take my combat sub any day over this thing. Looks like the hitman missed 🤷♂️

Thanks! Can't wait to see your hulk pics! Cheers

Awesome, I hope you enjoy it! Thanks so much for the kind words and support! Cheers
Now you just need the wise diving to complete the collection!
I'd love to check out more pieces from them in the future based on my experience with this one. Exceptional build quality for the price! Cheers

great measurements on that piece! nice review as usual! :)
Thanks buddy! The size and overall watch is versatile and compelling at the price point. Cheers
This looks like Jodie’s inspiration. Good review!
Thank you! I see a lot of Helm and Doxa inspiration too. Cheers
The one I bought a few month ago runs 16 seconds fast per day. Sometimes more.
That's a bummer. It's well within movement specs but faster than I've usually experienced. You might want to try demagnetizing it, just to be safe. Usually they run much faster, but I've seen it settle down some in this range too. Cheers
If it had just a W logo on the dial (same as the crown) it would have been perfect 👌
I agree, that would have enhanced it. Cheers
That green dial is beautiful.
I agree! It's so versatile, ranging from almost black to a gorgeous sunburst pop! Cheers
How does the watch keep time and how long does the lume last?

@ this doesn’t have a mityoa movement
Sorry about that, you're correct. It's been quite a while since I reviewed this one. Most of their recent watches use Miyota movements.
The hitman on the dial put me off buying it. But these do look exceptionally good. I do like the adamascus.
Understandable. That part is unfortunate on an overall great watch for the money. Agreed, the Adamascus line looks to be excellent as well. I'm impressed with Wise so far. Cheers
Do the lume battle brooooo
I played around with it a while back but couldn't get a presentation format I thought was worth sharing. I may revisit at some point. Cheers

That name is bad enough but putting it on the dial… 🤦🏻♂️ Too bad because everything else is pretty damn impressive. Thanks for showing it to us.

@@JonathanTReviews I can’t wait for their next watch. Rumor has it, it’s called the Scrotum Strike.
🤣 That will for sure be featured!

The Wise offers impressive finishing for the money but none of them speak to everyone, which is part of what makes the hobby fun. Cheers
