These are great tractors, but I really hate the emissions bs. I have a L4701 with 800 hrs on it, I've had good luck with it so far and it's only regen'd a hand full of times. When the regen light comes on on the dash I just make sure the RPM's are high enough and keep working. I've never pushed any of the buttons for anything other than resetting the error msg that came up after I tried to start it too many times with a weak battery. I think the key to success with these is to never let it idle once it's warmed up. I always run regular diesel with Power Service additive. If I keep it, I will delete it eventually.
This video is very informative, thanks. However, on my L3901 the buttons no longer have any markings. So I went to my best friend, the owner's manual and the buttons are shown in one orientation on the instrument panel page, which is opposite of this video and the same orientation as this video on the regeneration page of my manual. Tractor is 3 years old and has a whopping 76 hours on it. This is only the second time it has called for this regeneration. Is there anyway to tell them apart otherwise? BTW, why didn't they use different colored buttons?
At what PM % does the tractor signal that it's ready to Regen? My L3560 (recently bought used) is at 93%. It doesn't currently have any indicators lit, and won't let me initiate a parked regen.
Hello, love your work maybe you might have knowledge on a kubota mini excavator X040-4 with 1802 hrs. She fires up runs for 30-60 seconds then dies out. On the computer in the 2 fault codes pop up 064 Engine and 076 DPF is clogged. Got the DPF baked in the mean time replaced primarily and sec fuel filters cracked the lines she's getting fuse. Got the DPF back connected all the thermo sensors. Still same issue. Hooked up a diesel scanner found multiple fuel pressure sensors "high" and rail pressure issues, crankcase sensors issue. I've spoke to 3 different techs with Kubota one is say bec of DPF issues the kubota pcm/ecm shuts down after 4 attempts for safety reasons. Other tech told me "no" the bio diesel might have crystallized and I need a new common fuel rail with the sensors and new lines. Can you please help me I'm stuck.
That is the construction line and we do not currently have that line. Please find a Kubota construction line dealer and have them hook an EST up to it and go through each fault code.
I just had my first regeneration when I was using the tractor and I pushed the wrong button. So I had to do a parked regen. I read the manual and got no where this plain English explanation worked.
I've been trying for quite a while now to find out what the 2 orange buttons to the left of the steering wheel are for on the kubota L3301D. If you have any more input on them please share. Thank you and please stay safe.
No. It is highly not recommended to try and remove the system. It will void the warranty. These units with DPF or DEF systems carry a five year emissions warranty that starts at warranty start date. That’s a big coverage in my opinion. A Kubota dealer will not be able to take it on trade if modified. Mainly because legally we wont be able to sell it.
20k tractor, they say don't void the 5 year warranty. We out here buying 70k trucks and deleting that trash off them on day one, completly voiding the warranty.

Michel, deleting them will cancel any emission warranty the unit has and legally a dealer will not be able to take the unit in on trade. If they did the unit would need put back to factory to be able for resale.
Jeff I spoke with our service manager in Terre Haute he recommended to bring it in. That issue will need addressed by your servicing dealer. A lap top needs plugged into it and see what codes are active.
Just more junk to tear up . I see them in dealer ships all over the northern seaboard an south eastern states JUNK. Not just kubota , it's all of them with DPF filtration. They will work great for a time then look out . Better get out your war chest of money to keep them running.
Great no nonsense video, thank you
came for the regen stayed for the fantastic beard lol
This is why my tractor is 76 years old
Thank you!
We've been trying regen for over an hour and a half and lights and beeps won't stop.
Thanks
When you press the regeneration button should the light on the button be lighting up, tractor is new, no light just making sure? Thanks for posting.
No. 1.

NICE.
Thanks!
Is there a way to delete a code? Unhook the battery or something along those lines? To see if the code will come back. P0093 code is on.
Did the instructions to the T but still the tractor won't go into regeneration mode ???

"drop back to zero" as in it will shut itself off or it simply returns to idle?
Will it do a parked regen automatically with the push of a button. Or does it have to display that warning first
Bill, the unit will only perform a parked regen when the DPF is at level four.
Do you ever push the button with the line through it for anything ?? You said push the button without the line on both degenerations.

Bryant, this question is addressed in Zack's video. Your operators manual will also explain those as well.
Did you even watch the video you posted the comment on!? WTF lol
