I loved this. Samuel is so bold and thoughtful, gentle yet fierce. Plus, like I've told him before, my daughter is from Ghana, so I love that, too! 🤣 Thanks, both of you.
Joel. I thank God for His great love wherewith He loved you through Jesus Christ our Lord. I'm blessed to find you, and the Truth that works through you, to the praise and glory of God's effectual grace.
I loved your explanation of equal swift justice of God's law being a means for Grace and holding back evil. I've always thought that about stoning a child for rebellion but I never worded it that well.
Pastor Joel you might consider looking into Samaritan Ministries’ stance on intrauterine pregnancies. Some babies can survive and grow (high risk!) outside the womb; other situations they are beginning to look at trying to gently move the embryo into the uterus early before the placenta has formed; and even in the case of tubal we can hospitalize mom and wait till baby passes before removing the tube- there is a way to treat these heartbreaking situations without ending the baby’s life.
one little note on "intersex" people who have aspects of both reproductive systems....no one has 2 fully functional reproductive systems. 1 or the other is always a useless facet, more like a mutation. These people are still only male or female, it just takes a little more research to figure each case out, which medicine can easily do.
The abolitionist position is basically just the consistent Christian perspective. There’s no reason for any Christian to be resistant of accepting the biblical tenets of abolition. Laws against murder should be applied equally to all people. That’s what we stand for. Why are people ashamed to use the term when this is what we stand for? We do not support legislation that directly violates Gods word. In fact, Prov. 17:15 shows that any bill that acquits the guilty and condemns the just is an abomination before God. I don’t see how Christians could support a law that God calls an abomination.
What did you say his “Handle” is? 🤣🤣🤣 I’m in my 60’s and I remember the CB stuff from the 70’s. So when you used the “Handle” term it brought back some cool times with something that didn’t require “wires” to talk. Keep up the LORD’s work. Love you brother.
abolitionists and incrementalists need to keep their focus on the goal. Incrementalists may be tempted to accept a few victories whereas abolitionists can be tempted to accept zero progress if they can't have 100% progress. Also, I think incrementalists need to accept that abolitionists have the correct position, are the most principled and need to be held as the thought leaders and generals on the issue.
Without abolitionists, there would be no goal. Can you imagine slavery abolitionists pursuing the incremental goal of releasing to freedom all slaves who turn 70? It's not "all OR nothing" in abolitionism: it's all AND nothing else.
@@robertmog4336 agree. I just think it's counterproductive to fight against incrementalists who truly have abolition as the full and final goal with no exceptions. For incrementalists who aren't for full abolition, well, they need to be confronted and rebuked.
@@JR-rs5qs Right but it's hard to tell the difference until we put a sign in front of them that says "Abortion is Murder." At that point, we find out who the long-term abolitionists are and who the "pro-lifers" are. And most incrementalists believe that women are either too stupid to know what they are doing in an abortion or are somehow "victims" of their abortions. And that is so ungodly and damaging to both the women and their sacrificed children. I know because even though I've always been an abolitionist, I fell for the "pro-life" lies for a few years. It wasn't until I came to realize that most pro-lifers hate abolitionists just as much as the deathscorts at our abortion mill hate us, that I came to realize that our differences are nearly irreconcilable in the Christian sense.

@ rms5194 A man who places his own wife on a pedestal is in total sin before the Lord. It has nothing to do with your lust obsession ( amazing how Christians always bring the lust stuff all the time, they are completely obsessed by that ! ) but with the fact that he won't rule over her as GOD wants it but that he will be ruled over by her. It is a sin. If he puts her on a pedestal , she is already above him . He is beneath. He is the tail , she is the head. It is mere emasculation. Did you know that WWII Black veterans and descendants are STILL not allowed GI bill benefits? Can you imagine teaching WWII and GI Bill and not mentioning that 1 million Black veteran were excluded. There is a bill in the house and senate to change this. Authentic CRT seeks to uncover and remedy these inequities caused by systemic racism….
Did you know that if Black Lives Matter protested abortion mills, they would save more Black Lives that Matter in one day than all of the lives they've destroyed by burning down cities?
The bigger problem you have missed is the oppressive power structure which got hold of the American society during the 1930s which eventually pushed America into WW2 in the first place. The billionaire class desperately tried to to get the country into another European war, for their own lust for power. This war allowed: taxation, inflation, corporate welfare, conscription, domestic spying and censorship to name a few. The GI bill was presumed upon the government's right to engage in slavery, murder, theft, and deceit. The fact that so many "conservatives" don't realize this is precisely why they always get thrashed in the broader society. They are ignorant about the bible, their government and hence, are always inconsistent. The question should NOT be, "why didn't blacks get the GI bill?" but rather: "Why do we allow people in government this much power in the first place?"
If authentic CRT seeks to remedy examples like you have expressed then I'm all for it. Perhaps what's getting out there is inauthentic CRT. Seeking out and blaming racism for every disproportionate outcome isn't good.
I used to really like Gavin Ortland because of his work on debating Catholic issues from the point of view of a Baptist belief system. I realized he is basically buying into the critical race theory because of some of his videos and stopped listening.
Thabiti's first name is pronounced "Tuh-BEE-tee": The "h" is silent. More to the point, why do you not feel obligated to correctly pronounce the names of people who have changed their names?
Because a man named Ron Burns that changes his name to express his conversion to Islam and posture in social justice that converts back to Christianity to tell me that because of the color of my skin and that since I do not believe in systemic racism as well as reparations automatically disqualifies me from being able to "read the Bible right" doesn't deserve to have his pen name pronounced correctly.
