Hello Adam, as always great content!
For web analysts that have relied on looking at historical data in Google's UA platform(data more than 14 months old); in GA4, would you say learning BiqQuery and SQL is much more a must now?

Hello Michael. Yes, I would. Especially as all UA accounts will stop collecting data from July 1st so you will need to upgrade to GA4. But it has very restrictive API quota limits meaning you'll need to send data somewhere else like BigQuery or a SQL database. Personally, I think BigQuery is best for GA4 because you can hook them up seamlessly in the Analytics interface and then just use the native BQ connector in Looker Studio.

Hello Adam, I have been following your channel for a while now and I have been going back and forth on whether I should jump in and learn how to be an analyst or if I'm over my head. I have been an account manager in the digital field for about three years and realized the real need however in your professional opinion where does one begin? I would love to take some courses and think Coursera but I see so many listed I'm conflicted. Any suggestion as to where to start? I have a little experience spread out but not a lot to say I know what I'm really talking about. Thanks so much for your time, I appreciate all your videos! You are one of the reasons I'm really considering this change. Thank you!!!

Hey Audrey, thanks for reaching out. My honest recommendation to you as someone who isn’t sure yet about how to proceed is to take the Coursera Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate. It’s quite general and covers quite a wide range of skills which are all useful but, most importantly, it will tell you whether analytics is something you actually want to pursue. Once you finish that course you’ll have more of an idea of whether you’re better suited to BI or Data Science. Or if it’s not for you at all.

    Hi Adam,
    You create great helpful content!
I need your suggestion on the following situation.
I maintain an excel of my client's campaign performance on google ads. I wanted to make a dashboard and automate it so that the dashboard keeps updating on a daily basis.
Can you please suggest how to go about it?
    Want to use Tableau.

Glad you like my content. If you are analysing Google Ads data, you don't want to be using Excel at all. You can use Looker Studio to connect directly to the Google Ads API and query data that way. And it's free to use.

@@LearnBI I do use looker studio. I learnt how to use looker from your udemy course and created automated dashboards for all my accounts using Google ads and analytics data sources. But i want to create a dashboard that gives me a holistic viz of all my clients in one dashboard. I am a MCC account holder.

In that case, you would need a third-party connector that will let you connect to multiple accounts in the same data source. I recommend Power My Analytics for Looker Studio geni.us/YLc9Re
