- Fremont is one of Seattle's most popular neighborhoods. This is a quick walkthrough of the Fremont with narration. I point out various points of interest and businesses along the way, including the Fremont Rocket, Lenin Stature, Fremont Bridge, Waiting for Interurban sculpture, and Kin Lin Thai restaurant.
Simply Desserts in Fremont is our favorite place for cake and we were hoping to get strawberry cake from them on this day. We had no such luck and settled on two different flavors instead.
There's so much to explore in Fremont and I'll have to return for another visit soon. Hope you enjoy the video!

A little bit about me...
My name is Dennis aka Lao Ocean (also aka Dr. Wtpho, but more about that later) and I'm a Lao American RUclipsr based in Seattle, WA. Seattle has been my home since 1980. My videos and vlogs consist of walking tours in Seattle and abroad, travel, and things related to the Lao diaspora. I drink way too much coffee, eat pho 20PHO7, and also make food and food review videos. ☕️ ✌️

This is a great video.
Visiting again later this one, I think I want to move here 😮😅😊
Than Brothers is my favorite Pho restaurant is Seattle, but I only went to the Ave location.
The Lenin Statue is a real statue from the Cold War Era. It was on display in Czechoslovakia when the Soviet Union crumbled. An American purchased it after it was discovered in a scrap yard.
Why? He was such a commie!
@@richardkronberg4925 Total Commie! Ha ha
I remember seeing the statue lying down before it was put in place.
@@pattytracey3131 😴 napping.
A guy from Issaquah also found it in a scrap yard and a homeless person was living in it. Such an interesting history.
Lenin statue was relocated to Fremont in 2012
Enjoying all the sights and Info Mr. Ocean and Mrs. Ocean. Thank you...

🍋 lemon only. 😄
I'm kind of partial to the Cake Bowls at "Cakes of Paradise" in Georgetown myself. If you like Strawberry cake try the "Gava Lava Bowl" I always get them to add Banana!
LENIN hands painted in red because he got to much blood on his hands.. I just moved out of Washington and used to go to Freemont and Ballard about 3 times a month.. good places to eat and have fun
.
That plant store is great, I’ve bought housewarming gifts for friends there! Love that we’re walking Fremont today 👍🏻🥰

My moms boyfriends brother lived in a condo across the bridge from the Saturday Fremont market. When they took my sister and I there to visit them, ( we were adults) we walked there. I remember that! First time I’d ever seen someone making those big filled crepes.
Bestie got her 60th Bday cake from JD

Used to sell at the Farmers market in the 90's. Google and the High Tech ruined Fremont. It had a funky classy atmosphere and everything else that goes with that. Miss it so much. Money ruins everything. Went back once and the glare from all the chrome blinded us. All the people were gone. Dang
That was very interesting. Have never been to Fremont but looks very eclectic! Should be on a stop next time we get to Seattle. Thanks for the info!
We very rarely hear bad news coming from this part of town. most neighborhoods just north of the city are not as bad as those ones just south of the city. Queen Anne, Fremont, Wallingford, Bryant, Wedgwood, Portage Bay, Eastlake are among the best hoods in Seattle.
