- This house was built somewhere around 1959-1960. it has been sitting vacant since 2015 awaiting demolition. a larger home will replace it as this is one of few on the street that have faced the same fate.

Sad to see such once beautiful homes go to waste
Carmen, I agree 🙂👍
Most homes back then had hardwood floors until the popular "wall to wall" carpet was offered! It was considered a good deal until it wasn't....carpet was cheaper than hardwood's. Nice find... This house was probably real nice in its day!
Agreed
the green tile in the upstairs bathroom is beautiful
That was a beautiful family home once. It’s sad that it is just left to deteriorate
Looks like the owners were a fan of the color green. Stay safe when you are exploring Ethan!
i like that cutting board built-in on the counter top
Someone's fave color was green.. hearing the water in the creek, Priceless 💓 thanx for sharing Ethan ✌
That house would be so cool restored. It's a shame to tear houses like that down.
I agree with you !!!
Me too ! Imagine restoring this house and keep that beautiful stair railway ! Nice backyard !
Love the aesthetic of this place. Especially the green marbley tiles in the upstairs bathroom. Thanks for showing it to us.
🙌🙌
You crack me up when you say wow..thats old. Pencil sharpener, I remember in my school days of having one in the classroom on the wall where if you broke your lead you had to trot up in front of the class and crank that thing forever, lol. I think that carpet in the downstairs room was the same color as the stairs going down there...just worse for the wear. Thanks again Ethan!
Lol, I also remember the old pencil sharpener 🙂
@@erinbricker-urbanhistorian5803 it was insane at the time. Having to try and not break your lead so you did not have to be the one up there in front!
Wow, green was the color for this house. Green, green everywhere. A colorful find Ethan.
Golly Green! Amazing how they managed to get green in every room of the house. I liked the room downstairs the best, especially the fireplace.
This house could be restored and updated - it would come up very tastefully! I hate the fact that a lot of great houses are unnecessarily demolished!
I agree 🙂👍
In love with this home; the foyer and carpeted stairs, the linoleum and all the green - perfect 🤩
Well, that green carpeting reminds me of my parents home. Their green carpet was only in the living room but still it reminded me of their green decision. That was a 1970’s popular color.
Very nice home.
I was going to say this is a common rug in all the older homes 🤣
A very lovely old house. although it has some mold It shouldn't be demolished but should be rehabilitated. It's another sad ending to a beautiful day unfortunately!!!
No mirror in the bathroom, but that's no reflection on you!
Ouch. lol
We had huge picture windows in our 60s home and they were gorgeous, but DON'T OPEN. UGH. Me loves FRESH AIR
How can you resist not clipping stuff?
Like that cool pencil sharpener. You're a better man than I, Ethan! Haha
I definitely would have "repurposed" that pencil sharpener.
The gold light switch covers at 4:13.. arg.. that green is like, the shining’s bathroom ‘green’ 💚
Gold was the popular fixture color back then!
That house was so green lol. It was a very popular color back in the day, Ethan. Awesome video! Love ya!
Need to call this the "Green House"
Yes! 🙂👍
I have to wonder if the color green was really popular in the 50's or perhaps it was the owners favorite color. Holy cow the green in that house! Lol
My thoughts exactly lol way to much green
I do love green!
@@KadilakHomes yes, 🙂👍👍
I'd go for a makeover on this one. Can't beat the older brick homes.
They hardly makeover it's not in the best interest t0 those who in charge!
Omg...I had that same lanoleum in gold...and the kitchen wallpaper...lol
Oh Ethan...I feel old now....I'm retro...
Great vid!!💜
🙂👍👍
That’s a lotta green!! 💚🌿🍀🍃 Those Hotpoint appliances were built like cast iron. My grandma had them! Loved the Formica!!
Must be irish..
🥑🥒🥦🥬🌳🍀☘
That was cute! Thanks for sharing that with us!
Love the front door... and the fireplace downstairs! Take care!
Ethan!!! I always look forward for your videos! They always relax me! Don't stop doing what your doing! Your doing great!
spoony 88 🙂 hello 👋
Do you know how hilarious you were on this one?? The basement SMELLS ABANDONED 😂🤣😂Those leaves in the bathroom on the wall were ferns. OMG cracking me up again in the other green bathroom... floors sticky for some reason! You’re killing me smalls!!! 😂🤣😂🤣😂
Nice place it is sad 😢that it will be torn down i would love to buy the house and give it a small make over
Rosa, 🙂👍👋
I like the green upstairs bathroom and the green linoleum floors.
If I had to describe that bathroom wallpaper, I think I'd go with "iridescent foliage juxtaposed against a lush green base." It gives it an air of sophistication, lol. Or you could just go with "trippy." Great explore! Thank you!!
😂😂😂
Always wonder why people let thing's just ruin. Such a shame. Good job Ethan. Grandma
Its not in the best interest of the officials at the time!
I just found you, love the peek into these homes! Please tell me people salvage and re purpose some of these beautiful stuff! There is soooo much $$$$ in them!
Agreed
Nice fireplace, but I bet it would be nicer in action since it's cold. Thanks. Good job.
🙂👍
I would love to know a little about the last owners and why they walked away
I live in Montana.. and people that can’t appreciate that view while there is snow on ground.. don’t deserve the view in the summer and fall 🙌 also, I live in a house built in 57’ so I LOVE THIS.
Stay safe thankyou for the video love all your videos
🙂
Hi Ethan. I loved the octagon window going up the stairs. Wow, green must have been their favorite color! I really liked the huge picture window in the kitchen. For a 50’s home, it wasn’t all dark. Lots of windows. Nice. Great fireplace. Beautiful surroundings. I wish you would have shown us those decorative pieces hanging on each side of the door. Thanks Ethan
What a beautiful and green house it is, lol. Where ever you start in a home is great with me! LOVE YA LOT'S Ethan. 💋🐾🐾✌
Loved the wallpaper in the bathroom on the main floor
Nice find. Cute house. Loved the iron rails and the window by the front door. I feel this green was updated maybe in the 70's. The wallpaper in the bathroom had ferns on it. Sweet fireplace and good built in for showing or displaying collections. Thanks for sharing reminded me of the house I grew up in during the 70's. Also loved the sunroom and the stunning views. Peaceful. Love watching you. Stay safe. And thanks for showing your sweet kind smile at the end. 🥰❣💗❤ Keep up the good job your doing. Love from Maryland USA.
Nice find Ethan. Thanks for showing this house.
What is up Ethan! I wish I could have rescued that desk in the basement. They must have built it down there, its too big to go thru the door! And that old Eaton's pencil sharpener! Love it, want to try and find one now! Did I see correctly, it looked like wood was hanging inside the upstairs fireplace? Take care man, thanks for the content :)
I loved the pencil sharpener 🙂
These older homes seem to all have a bunch of interesting and quirky features. It makes the adventure all the more fascinating. Thanks Ethan for another great tour. Stay safe.
Hi Ethan, green, green and more green! nice house
Ok - gotta help here - those are called sheer curtains cuz you can kinda see through them, the wallpaper has fens on it - kinda tropical :)
Agreed 🙂👍
Ferns, not fens.
@@nataliedeshow768 Totally agree - dang fingers :)
@@roylamkin7177 lol, I figured it might be autocorrect.
Wow! They didn't like green at all 😂 Love the fireplace in the basement. Nice explore
love!
Beautiful house thanks for sharing keep up the good work
I had that same old vinyl flooring in my kitchen when I got my house except mine was brownish and yellowish.
Cool! 🙂👍
What a flashback. That kitchen wallpaper was the same my parents had in our Boston area house in late 70s early 80s.
As soon as I saw that wallpaper I was remembering a house that I lived in that had that same wallpaper.
Very nice, I think they liked green. Loved the little bathroom and the the staircase. Thanks Ethan for sharing
What a nice little house 🏠. I really love 💘 ❤ the inside ❤ 😍
that house has alot of "modern" things for the time period. they must have been pretty well to do, or maybe they were in the buisiness of homes and inovations. motion senser? home security? etc..
I thought that was the doorbell in the foyer but Ethan called it a motion sensor 🤷🏻♀️
Nice Little House. Epic Adventure! Stay Safe Cuteness.
I especially love that cozy basement den with the green carpet, stone fireplace and built in bookshelves. I'd be happy to have that room by itself. 😊
Should be called THE GREEN HOUSE! Lol.
Very nice!
My folks were into green also... green exterior, green flocked wallpaper, green shag carpet, avocado green appliances...ugh
Green fridge, and green couch. 🙂
beautiful house someone loves green .. Thank you for sharing ❤❤❤❤❤ stay safe love ya
Hey Ethan! Thanks for the tour! Great find and great explore! Take care and stay safe!!
Hi Ethan, Adore the Bricks, to this day they look in great condition. @1:37 Adore the Wainscoting on the walls. The fireplace centred so cosy, @3:43 the railing on the staircase, I hope someone salvages it, it's beautiful. Wow for a big home I'm surprised how small the kitchen is. @5:36 Stunning view, here in Melbourne, Australia we are so different to America, Canada we here have fences that separate our properties, my fences are 8ft high, for privacy and security there it seems you don't seem to have fenced in yards. But that yard with the snow and trees how cosy with the fire going in winter, snow. If only we could go back for a moment in time to see this home as it was. Ok @6:43 I'm yelling basement "nooo don't go down Ethan". We don't have basements here in Australia so seeing them in your video's freak me out. Best part of the basement that fireplace beautiful. @10:56 light on, if that was here in Australia the price we pay for electricity would be the highest in the world, so makes me wonder why! Brilliant video, Filming like you did no editing Great work! Thank you Ethan. I have so many of your video's to catch up on having a binge session later. Kindest thoughts from Australia xx
Nice find guys, the front 🚪 door and windows in the living room is truly retro. Nice size 🏡 house but the kitchen is definitely small, put in new counters...I would take out that wall with the cabinets and probably put in a counter with cabinets underneath and put bar stools. A nice size half bathroom and I would keep that cool wallpaper in there. Basement is a good size.
Can anyone guess what their favorite color was??? A...green 😂 Nice house, but definitely from the 50s! I had that same lanolin only in brown, in my 1st house😳
The best part of this place was the downstairs fireplace!!! Beautiful stonework! Exterior brick was nice! I don’t say this about too many places, but a tear down would be nice in place of this! The property was gorgeous!!! As long as they just replace the house & don’t divide the property, the new house will be an improvement! For the age, it was still in relatively good shape! Thank you for sharing this wonderful property with us Ethan! I loved it ❤️
I bet under all that green carpet is the most beautiful hardwood floors.....nice find Ethan!
They sure loved the color green. thanks for the tour. have a great day
I like green, but wow... not sure if I would have that much though. 🙂
I love this house with the amount that one pays to tear it down spend on fixing it up eh
In which they probably will never do UNFORTUNATELY!
Do you think the owners liked the color green?🤔 Thanks for taking us along!! Loved it!! ❤️
I love this house, so sad that it's not getting done up!
Once these wonderful period family houses are gone, there's no coming back, sad.
As always, great tour Ethan. You are such a nice kid too, your parents did well 💚
Totally in love with that house (green is my fav color) so i really enjoyed it..beautiful fire places and loved the staircase ..the view was spectacular with the creek..yeah i could so live there!
Great investigative reporting and kudos for finding such cool houses!
A very 1950's home, lots of built-ins, and solid as a rock construction. Green-O-Rama decor, would have been a restful house to spend time in. They must have really liked it, no upgrades to speak of and not a lot of tech add-ons. Almost expect to see a 63 Buick in the driveway..
cheers Ethan!
Lol I thought you were going to say it reminds you of the Green monster😃😃
Wow... love that backyard creek & Forrest behind the house... inside definitely looks 50's... thanx Ethan... stay safe, ❤✌🙏
.
Green must have been their favorite color!
I was going to say the same thing!
Yes... 🙂👍👋
Such a beauty!!!! Thanks Ethan!!!!
This home is beautiful love it nice explore 😊
Pretty good size kitchen. Small closet space. Nice! 👍 Thanks again Ethan, for the tour of the house. Take care and stay safe. 💙✌️😉
I'm soooo excited for this right now!!!
I love watching your videos. I think you have a good speed for going through a house. I watch a couple other channels but I watch your the most. The only advice I would like to offer is when you are focused on an area that has a lot of light coming in (like a window) it makes the rest of the area dark to where you can't see what you are showing. So if you want us to see neat markings around the window we can't. I know you didn't ask for advice, so do with it what you want. I just wanted to help improve your already awesome videos.
That’s a cute house 🏠. Makes me sad
I agree with you. 👍
Another Incredible Video Ethan! You Really Rock No Matter What! I love the Sunroom. Always a bonus to have an extra room for extra space and for enjoying a cup of coffee or the most lovely beverage of your choice. I always love the different wallpaper effects. The Green Foil with the Fern for effect was so way cool. Very Imaginative. The Flowered one in the Kitchen was so pretty. Very Subtle. Don't get me started on the Basement though. Except for the way cool Fireplace and the built in wooden shelving. Must have been a very cozy space in the winter. Ahhh! The water damage and decay plus the holy moly moldy places yikes. The upstairs Bedrooms were cool. I like the built in desk with the mirror. What's Up Guys! Made my day! The Staircase Railings were pretty cool. Once Again Another Great Job on this one. Thank-You for Your Constant Professionalism, Candor & Respect For Each & Every Place That You Go To! I saw the mail in the front door. The way that you pass it up fast is so smart. Looking forward to the next Video! Take Care & Much Love For Your Health & Safety Each & Every Day! Peace Out!
Fabulous little house i love it
Love those tiles on the floor , the little green ones
What's up Ethan! Somebody's favorite color was green. Love the green tiles in the upstairs bathroom. Almost looks like Jade. Never get tired watching your videos. Keep rockin'! 😉
I believe that I had a dress made with that pattern of the wallpaper in the kitchen
Wow 😯
Its quite concerning how many neglected abandoned houses there are. Considering there are so many homeless people there are across the USA.
I believe this is in Canada.
@@nataliedeshow768 There are homeless people in Canada too.
@@oluapampa5075 yes I know but I just wanted to let you know that the house is in Canada and the guy filming it is Canadian.
Ethan love it when you hit the camera in the beginning and say whats up guys in the mirror. You must be a urban ghost (Rob and Joe fan) Love seeing all these old houses. Sad they are being torn down( Ignore the trolls I see one in the comment section)
Thank you Ethan for the explore this house had to be interesting in it's time that green carpet had to be their favorite color and I love the fireplace downstairs I also liked the closet that had a closet thanks for showing cant wait for the next one Ethan stay safe out there
Nice place but all that GREEN, wow. Thanks Ethan
I agree 🙂👍
This was such a quaint little place. Do you how hard that floral print was to hang? I don't think that was a cutting board but maybe a warmer? Not sure.
There was a special at the store on all green items for the home.
I chatted with my cousin and she agrees with you and thinks it was a cutting board however gross it may be. Germs weren't a big deal back then. Hey we drank from the hose right!
Hi Ethan, is there a house that you would buy to restore and could not forget? The houses you visits are amazing, new and old. I really enjoy your videos. They make my day and thanks so much!
Good morning, E! I love that green bathroom. I've never seen tile like that. The room looks like a jade box! Thank you very much
Hi Ethan, I liked that little epic adventure! Nice little house, loved the forestry green wallpaper in the bathroom and hate wallpaper. Loved the downstairs family room. Thanks for this tour, you always find the coolest places! Stay safe!!!
I really like this house, nice fireplace, kitchen, marble bathroom, anyway I like it. Sorry to see it go, thanks for sharing
Love the wallpaper throughout. And I love the house. I’d live there for sure. Thanks for sharing,
I'm not a fan of the color, but the variety of greens and white makes the house more spacious. Plus that staircase and railing is so pretty!
Love the staircase! 🙂👍
The green carpet reminded me of a house we lived in. It was built in 1965 and it that same mint green wool carpet. It also had mint green drapes in the kitchen and the insides of the kitchen cabinets were painted pepto bismol pink!!! So I think that was just the style back then. Mint green is supposed to be a soothing color. Was kind of surprised the kitchen wasn't bigger for that size of a house. I'm sure it was very beautiful when it was first built.
With the power still on, I'd be concerned about the yellow extension cord on the basement floor. Water and electricity don't mix. Nice basic, well built house. I like it as is with some basic care type work done. Like the Hotpoint appliances.
This house is green with envy ... Lol! It was definitely their favorite color. Green carpet, green wallpaper in that 1/2 bath and green tile in the bathroom upstairs ~ Wow! Some Kool things about it are the fireplaces and the staircase. Thanks for showing us this one Ethan. Stay Safe!
Hey Ethan good job.Good to see u
