Hey can u please let me know why fonts won't load on app
so they broke it, then took away our only way to fix it?
I can't print then cut anything. it freezes up on me every time. There are no settings to fix this.

Great tips, I was having issues and trying to do a screen recording for my video. So I cleaned up my Cricut folder, and reverted back to classic mode. Now it works again, ready for my next video. xoxo Sandy

Thank you! Your video helped me to solve my big issue with Design Space (it did not worked since the December update). I did this: I deleted the Files that you suggested in your video, Log out DS, Uninstall DS, Download and Install DS, Log in DS, I did the things you suggested in Settings -Canvas Style to Classic-. And it worked!!!!! So happy! Thanks again! :)

Thank you!! I'd been struggling for a few days! I have a Mac - I deleted all caches, all browser history and nothing helped...until I saw to go into DS and revert to Classic - Bingo!! It worked! You're a lifesaver! Thank you so very much!!!
What steps did you do?
Open up Cricut design space. On the very top left hand corner (the three lines, also known as home), open that up. Scroll down to settings, open up and find the ‘canvas style’ and it will be marked ‘New’. Press Classic instead. And then Done. Hope that helps. 😊

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!!! TODAY I TRIED TO START PROJECTS FOR AN UPCOMING SHOW AND DS WOULD NOT DO ANYTHING, JUST OPEN UP AND STARE AT ME!! I was panicking and went back to the the group page I belong to because I remembered posters having serious issues. I did what you said and IT WORKED!!

for something like that you would need to call Cricut but it is unlikely you will be able to recover any lost designs. Design space does not have an auto save feature.
Cricut needs to update to give more space on the printing canvas.

Hi Corinne, I have been having so many issues with Design Space recently that I don't use it much. I just tried your tips and hope they work. I bought the foil transfer kit, it will not work. Hopefully this helps! Thank you.
Are you using a computer or a mobile device to use DS? I assume computer since you said these worked. The foil tool should work fine. I would recommend saving your design and then closing and reopening the software. Its been super weird!
Thanks for the great tips. I wish Cricut would have enlightened us. I am super new to Cricut and I see no difference between the new and classic look. I did find, however that when someone said they copied and pasted a graphic from one project to another, I found that doesn't work in classic view. (SUBBED)

I have three folders when I opened up that CD space one so I tried to delete the first two and it couldn’t because it says it was being used
Hi. Not sure if you can help but I'm have a problem with images. It's a png image or svg. But when I'm downloading and adding to canvas it shows red mark saying resize when it's a cricut image. What do I do.
As a UX professional, I can confidently say that software is one of the most user-hostile I've seen.
And it continues to crash and fight me at every turn. There are basic features incorporated in every design program except this one. I don't understand how it can be so slow and still have so few features.

Hi I just bought my circuit maker 3 and loaded design space and set everything up.. so went to play around to make a new project and all the stuff across the screen is so light I can’t read any of it. Where you select fonts sizing etc….. how do I fix it so I can see all the top stuff….
When you actually have an item selected those icons will turn darker but it also could be the contrast on your screen itself making them even lighter you may need to adjust the monitor settings
im a new user of Cricut and having difficulty inserting glyphs. the font is downloaded and installed and I see the glyphs in the Font Book however when I copy it and go to paste it in the text box, it appears as a rectangle/box? any suggestions as to what im doing wrong?
Usually when this occurs it is because you have the incorrect text selected in design space. You need to make sure the font that you copy the glyph from is the exact same font in design space

Hi Corinne. My settings don’t have the classic option. It looks like it’s the new version. What do I do? My design space keeps loading when I’m trying to offset and it never opens
That option is no longer available
Helpful video as I am a beginner. I am trying to use Offset and I can’t get it to work. In Settings Canvas Style does not show up. Do you know how I can fix this please?
Classic canvas is no longer an option and wouldn’t make offset work anyways. Updating JavaScript on your computer tends to get offset working again

I got a new computer with touchscreen and I cant use the touchscreen with some things one design space like making the size bigger and moving the image around on the screen. It sucks

This is a cricut design space issue that can only be addressed by cricut themselves.

When I get to the grid page ready to cut it doesn't say continue what do I do to fix it I think it's my connection but when I go to bluetooth devices it says I'm paired but design space says there is an issue

Hi, when I open canvas the grid squares are huge, how can I reduce these to see them all on page. Also I have no option to revert to classic. I am using a desktop. Hope you can help x
You are likely zoomed in look at the bottom left corner for the zoom out option. Classic is no longer an option
when saving an SVG image, (spotify code) it only saves a a grey box under cut
I have just started using Cricut (Maker 3) I downloaded Design Space but some of the functions are not as expected. The Edit Bar in the Canvas does not appear to have a "Fill" option - any ideas?
I'm not sure what fill button you are speaking of. There isn't a fill option.

Hi, I don't know if anything has changed in cricut design space, but I don't have the option to change from new to classic on design space. I'm also trying to link some cartridges that I never got around to needing till now and it just keeps telling me that I need to update firmware, which I have. Do you know what could be causing this? TIA
There is no classic mode anymore. Its kind of a pain. As for your firmware you should be able to update that through instructions on cricuts website. if you are having issues with linking cartridges call cricut they will manually link them for you.
I don't have that option of the canva and i been having so much issues with the new update what can i do please help

Because that is larger than print then cut allows. You can only print 6.75x9.25

It might. Sometimes depending on what the cutting issues are it may be things like the blade or even just the mat

Any suggestions after the latest update, can't open design space. Have uninstalled, reinstalled clear cache and every other suggestion. Please help.
I saw a couple others having this issue. They tried all the same things you did. I would also try and make sure after you uninstall that all cricut files like the native folder and gone. sometimes it can cause issues.
i start with my circut exploer 2. i was wanting to make letters 3 in tall. wanted to use 12/24 mat put could not. said it was not with my setting, can u help me thank y george downs
Attach all your letters so they fit onto a 24 inch mat make sure they are no larger than 23.5x 11.5

I please need help with something. I have done some cutting of words before and it was fine. today I cannot send a project to cut words as it does not give me a mirror option. I'm cutting on Cricut flex sport vinyl
Try uninstalling and reinstalling design space. They just did a big update and sometimes that can cause issues
I keep getting a red banner error message when I go to cut out my project. Never before happened and I have rebooted etc help

Hi what can I do if my cricut is not reading the mat and I only had it two month
you need to call cricut but also try running a qtip or small soft brush under the sensor because you likely have something stuck to it.
Thanks much it worked but when I am doing print the image is not showing on the canvas just the outline . I reverted back and the same thing happened.
This is an ongoing Cricut issue. sadly not one that we can fix ourselves. Reach out to cricut and let them know its happening.

Do you know how to fix the offset option for us that have it? Mines is on there and it shows up and I can use it but when I start messing with the distance and hit apply it doesn’t show up or do anything. I’ve already uninstalled it and deleted everything but still nothing.
A lot of people have this same issue it seems to be something within the computer javascript. I would try updating that

Make sure your machine is on. I saw someone post in a group too theirs wasn’t working so perhaps it’s an issue on the software

my design space doesn't have the "canvas style" option. However, I have "Application Experience - Beta / Live" option. What is it?
As stated in the pinned comment that option has been taken away. Beta is like the version they are testing to see if it works and live is the current version that is being used
Unfortunately I don't have the classic or new option but my design space is pretty much unless for right now. It is running so slow, I literally gave up today in making a simple bday card after 2 hours of it freezing or just taking forever to load whatever options (slice, weld etc.) I used.
As noted in the pinned comment classic is no longer available it is now live or beta. Usually when it runs slow you need to clear cache

I don’t have a Mac. They are different than windows. You would need to find someone with a Mac to show you how to do this
Hello, how can I get the bold style on my cricut design space?
They no longer offer bold as an option use offset to make fonts bold
how do you refresh design space? I see it used on the videos but can't find it on my design space
I have never refreshed my design space so I’m not sure what you mean? If you mean to start over you just click new canvas but if you mean completely restart it just completely close it and reopen it

I’m having an issue my cricut cutting extra lines through my project. If I type the word Cricut and proceed to cut it, my machine will cut the word Cricut but as it moves to cut each letter it will cut a line as it moves from the R to the T. It’s almost as if it’s looking for registration marks to print and cut with the blade. But I’m not printing and cutting. I just need to cut a simple text.
I’ve cleaned my blade. I’ve checked to make sure I’m using the correct material setting. My mat is clean and material is completely flat. Any suggestions or help to fix this issue is greatly appreciated.
Have you done all the steps in the video? That does help these issues as well. Also check for a firmware update. If it’s still doing it you’ll need to contact cricut
@@CorinneBlackstone I didn’t try the steps in the video because it didn’t explain what specific issue was being addressed by the fix. So I was a bit hesitant to try. But I will give it a go and see what happens. Thanks so much for the reply.
I can not edit anything on design space Matt. Buttons are not so I can use 5gem. What did I do wrong?
Some people have been having these issues with the new updates. you will need to contact Cricut and let them know of the issue.
Hello Corinne. When I design my project in Design Space and click "Make It", I get a message that says connect cutting machine. And my machine is already pugged in to my lap top. I have tried going into device manager and then ports and it says that the device is working properly. I tried to go into settings in Design Space and change from the NEW Canvas style to the Classic and it does not give me that option. Do you have any clue as to how I can fix this? Thank you.
The classic canvas is no longer an option. As for the issue you are having this sounds like a firmware issue. I would reach out to cricut and see if they can get that firmware updated for you.
Has anyone noticed with the new update that it makes changes on saved projects? I have a project that has 4 different styles of the same design saved for 4 different shirts. But only one of the styles is showing up now? Any idea how to find the other 3 on the saved project?
I have not seen that but is it possible the other designs are off screen? do they show in the layers tab or not at all?
@@CorinneBlackstone I can’t find them at all. It has happened to me a few times and I can click my design on the canvas and it brings up the others on the layers tab. But it’s not working on this one

Is it giving you an error? What operating system is the computer?
Hello, Canvas Style is no longer in the Settings section. My problem is that my image is not showing up after doing the 2 steps to flatten. Additionally, flattening holding down one layer, shift, other layer is not working ☹. Anyone knows how to help me. I am trying to use the print and cut function, but it is so frustrating after the latest update. Thanks for any help given.
There have been a lot of issue with the software the last two days. Especially with the print then cut feature. you need to hold CTRL and not shift to select multiple layers
