Oooh! A wall bird dog! Love it! Unable to do a floor bird dog ATM, great alternative! Thank you! 👍💕
I'm a 62 year old was cleaning out my kitchen cabinets I'm having to kneel down and get up often. ..
t's rough so I decided to take a break and look up a video to see what exercises I need to start next week😅...
Thank you! I will start on these you did on your video.
I get off the floor in ten different ways, every cardio day. Such a crucial aspect of life, to be able to do the things you simply need to be able to do to get through a day and remain independent!
Thank you 😇💗
You’re welcome 😊

Do you have any exercises that are for individuals who can't stand alone (w/o walker)
Hi Rebecca! We have many seated workouts too. Search "Seated Workout" on our channel. You will need a stable chair.
I'm old. My knees. Can't lunge nor squat.
🤨 are you serious😂 I'm 68 out of shape. If I tried any of these I would fall over and not be able to get up 🤨Duhhh🤨 What can I do from a sitting position as a no muscle beginner 🤨 I don't want to fall over trying to do what you're showing me to try. I'm seriously in need of exercises that I can start with as a beginner. Please advise. Thank you
Why no knee in front of toe? Getting up from floor the knee does go in front of toe.
Is there an abreviated version of this?
The problem with your instruction is that none of the exercises are done on and off the floor -- and I think nobody needs instruction on pushing themselves away from a wall.
This kind of instruction seems endemic to all the Silver Sneakers instruction videos. If you keep on doing them, you're supposed to get miraculously stronger in 6 months or a year to actually get off the floor.
This is very much like the guy instructing people that if they do handstands and walk on their hands for ten minutes each day, they'll be in good shape for the rest of their lives.
If you really want to be helpful, you instruct the people on the easiest way to get off the floor -- and to practice that, and not some theoretical strengthening that has no practical applications.
Unfortunately, this is all too common in these remedial instructions. People get good at whatever they actually practice. And if they don't practice it, they have no idea what to do when they have to do it == because they haven't developed that muscle memory.
I'm good at getting up and down off the floor because that is what I do as much as possible in my daily life -- and have my environment set up to enable and encourage that. Otherwise, you can squat and deadlift as much weight as possible but that does not automatically transfer to getting up efficiently off the floor.
As I frequently point out to chair yoga instructors, the most valuable lesson in yoga, is teaching one to practice getting up and down off the floor (mat), and when you remove that element, the rest of the movements have limited value.
