It was 2 young women & one showed it so good how to do it! I must have wached it 5 times to get my head around the measuring & put the pin in right. But got it super easy!😊😊

Hi Lori! The trials and tribulations of jeans for those of us that are short! I have a sewing machine, but never hemmed jeans with it. The denim is always too thick. I would love for you to show us how it’s done! Great video! 💗🥰 Have a wonderful weekend!🍁🍃🍂
Thanks for your video, I enjoyed it. I do have a sewing machine and have hemmed jeans before, but not sure if I’m doing it right. I would love to see a video on how you do it. Thanks!
Hi Lori. Great video! I’m 5’1” now and will probably shrink some more. Yes I hem my own jeans. I haven’t sewn them with the original hem showing for quite a while because the pants have been 2 inches too long and need cutting and folding first. I actually use jean thread or gold colored thread. My sewing machine does not like the hump where the seams are though. Would love to get a refresher on hemming jeans with the original hem.
Hi Lori, I do have a sewing machine because I am an avid quilter and I would love to see how you hem your jeans. Love all your videos. Have a great weekend ❤
This video was immensely helpful. Thank you for addressing this problem. I myself have handled jean length vs boot in one other way. Ive worn the straighter jean and cuffed it over the top of a mid height bootie. It’s more casual and edgy this way. It doesn’t help with elongating legs but pulls off another type of look. But I love your ideas as well Thanks for your videos. They’re great!
When I was 12, I went to summer school and learned how to sew and learned how to type. Those are two skills that have benefitted me my entire life! Yes, I hem my own pants and jeans all the time. Yes, I know how to retain the original hem in jeans. It saves me money and opens up my options to be able to buy jeans that may be a little too long. I usually won't hem bootcut or flare jeans. It throws off the proportions. Also, the flare itself is hard to manage when hemming. Straight or wide-leg jeans are easier.
@@dianeschenkelberg8270 Amazing and I definitely agree! Back in my day typing was a class requirement in high school and it has served me well. I missed the sewing class and now I’m learning later in life.

I hem my own jeans keeping the original hem. It's actually pretty easy unless there is a difference in the width. Right now I am having a huge problem finding shoes to wear with skirts and dresses (not very flat or very high heels).
