Shoulder - Measure between the tips of both shoulders (to the end of each shoulder bone)
Bust - Measure bust at the fullest part all the way around the body
Waist - Measure waist where the body bends.
Rise - Measure from crotch seam to top of waistband
Hip - Measure at the fullest part of the hip, usually around the seat
Inseam - Measure between your crotch and the bottom of your ankle

Sometimes when reading reviews I read the worst first then decide. I recently bought a really cute side knotted swimsuit with a wrap skirt style in 3 different colors in two different sizes. I figured at least half of my order would work. Wrong! The bottom of the leg openings had almost no elastic and made me have droopy drawers! This time I had not read the reviews. A lot of the bad reviews said the exact same thing! Served me right, lol. I try to watch many petite RUclips videos from petite women. My problem is not only being short at 4’ 11” but being a 14petite. I have had a lot of success with Short Story Box.
I do most of my shopping online because I don’t live near a shopping mall. Sometimes you can read the reviews and do everything right and it still doesn’t work. So frustrating for sure. I recently heard someone say there is a difference in wearing clothes and in styling clothes. You illustrated that perfectly in tip 2! I am so guilty of having clothes but no style.

Hi Lori! Thanks for mentioning being intentional about buying clothes and paying attention to other stylists body shapes. Before I purchase anything, I do a mental inventory of what I already own. I also have a “rule” that I won’t purchase something unless I can wear/style it several ways. Because I am also petite, I seek out petite stylists whose body shape mimics mine. Love your suggestions!

Hi Lori! I have been sort of out of pocket for some weeks and haven't seen your videos. That said, I can say that you look even more slender and fit than the last time I saw you and you looked great then!!
I got a dress for my grandson's wedding from JJ's House in a P4 (had to have it hemmed miles of inches🙄). It is a column style formal gown in Steel Grey (a very saturated, beautiful grey). The skirt part of it has a little fold which hinted at a slit which wasn't there and gave some interest to it. The bodice is a beautiful, delicate steel grey lace sweetheart neckline (does not look grandma) and a medium (not narrow/not wide) waistband. I found little grey suade boots that matched the gown well. The wedding was up at China Peak Ski Resort and held outside so I needed good footing.
You have helped me find many things that look nice on my "diminutive" frame. The only things I have found at Amazon are Columbia shorts in size 2 or 4 and, to my great surprise, three tankini swimsuits which fit me great (I really like the little boy leg bottoms). I needed all of these for my trip to California at the beginning of June. 😊❤

Thank you for these invaluable tips. So much of our fashion blunders come from the industry push junk or "fast fashion" just for the sake of trying to feel current. A perfect example (imo) are those tiered dresses; only a minute percentage of the population can pull those off with aplomb. This constant churn of "being on trend" is contributing to the horrific contribution to harmful waste. Anyway, rant over. Food for thought.

I don’t like tiered dresses, either, nor puffed sleeves. These girlish details just aren’t sophisticated enough for my mature age. I think denim shorts, especially cutoffs, don’t look current, it’s time to give them a rest. I don’t understand my fellow Americans’ obsession with them, they’re really only for teenage girls and have been done to death.
I really do pay attention to body and height sizes when watching fashion hauls. I also pay attention to age groups.
Being petite clothing fits soooo sooo different. For me my problem is being too selective. The other problem is finding small sizes in stylish clothing.
I’ve recently lost weight myself and depending on brand,I’m wearing size 0 or 2. It makes it even more difficult.
I have found some shorts recentlyI absolutely love and wanted to get another pair in different color and sold out. I was so bummed. Glad you have shown some brand options.

@@LoriLundquist I actually found them at Walmart. It was Time & Tru and they are a distressed Bermuda short. They are so comfortable. I should have bought the washed black pair as well. Literally just a couple of weeks and sold out of size 2. I guess for $16.98
I bought a similar pair last year, but now losing 35 lbs they were huge.
