Dear Mr. Banks. Just because the President did not have a need to contact Sec. Austin for 3 days, that does not indicate that the Secretary is irrelevant. If there had been a need to contact the Secretary you can rest assured the President would have contacted the Secretary. He would not have bothered to contact you though.
And he'll retire with a big fat pension.

General Austin exudes PROVEN Leadership, character, and honor.
He is a proud man and a proud American. I see him as thoughtful, detailed, and methodical.
Many strong people use focus and privacy while battling serious medical issues.
Low Rent Two Cent Vultures hide well sometimes and are hard for the public to see until their mouths open and the sewage inside is released.
Congress represents the people and serves to inform, investigate, and fashion laws that raise the standard of a more perfect union. As such is the case, human beings and politics reside in these seats.
Without personal deference to respect of the Man in front of you and measuring all the facts on the table; as one challenges and questions authority; service to the public is rudderless.
Whether Banks knows it or not, or even cares; He has chosen to augment the power of foreign propaganda from enemy states during a public hearing on the House floor of the US House of Representatives; as a way to bolster his political narrative of General Austin's choices while the Secretary of Defense battles serious medical issues.
Matt Gaetz wants the public to believe along with him in his sense of entitled credibility, that his word is the gold standard (because he gets briefings) (along his paygrade, of course). As he smears the United States Military as a FAILURE and places blame in his story at the feet of Sec. Austin. Someone like Gaetz, who has never successfully planned military operations nor served chooses to call the US military and a decorated Four star General a FAILURE. (Pure entitlement). Those who teach him that he is inherently superior are worse. If you don't check him, he will spoil everything you work for.
Every single congressman and woman believe that they are the smartest person in the room. The public can only be served when leadership balances and tunes those flux capacitors sitting on their necks. The righteousness of a fierce confrontation has more to do with patience, thoughtfulness, and timing than pure opportunity.
General Lloyd Austin has earned respect and regard.
When Banks calls the Secretary of Defense irrelevant, and then decides, all things considered, that Sec. Austin is an embarrassment; I believe that this insult is directed to the General as a person and has no legitimacy or merit in official American discourse about the defense of the United States of America.
Some people believe that they are superior to others. They believe that the few, and simple thoughts and words they choose to muster about you, supercede the value of your life and its work. That short and not-so-clever set-up during the exchange was insufficient in disguising basic disrespect and disregard; while consideration for the character, honor, and ability of the Man in front of him was ignored.
