Really enjoyed this video, it's so informative, I am currently an honours student at Unisa and there are a LOT of people in 3rd year and honours who don't know what it takes to become a psychologist...
Is there a way in which one is able to extend their knowledge in this field of expertise at Unisa? I did a diploma and a degree in accounting but I have been thinking of psychology these past few years but I'm scared of not doing it because I don't know what it entails
Hi guys. I read on Twitter that New Zealand offers a lot of employment opportunities even for internationals, that's if you would consider working abroad, especially with the hardships of finding employment in our country. Good luck in digging more of that info.
@@hlelisilegamede7485 Hi there. Thank you for this. Do you know if being a board accredited clinical psychologist here, would be recognised in New Zealand?
This is the same process that people have to go through to become charted accountants. Most people think that an undergraduate in bcom accounting will make you a charted accountant. It is a 6-8 year process.
Very true very informative. I'm a research psychologist. And I love it but I've noticed that alot of students don't understand and also institutions don't really explain or can I say give guidance to students
I soooo wanted to be a Research Psychologist 😍 and you're 100% right!! I also did not have a lot of information about the process and institutions arent as vocal about it too.
@@ChristinaJuly it's a good thing you've started your channel u will really be helping people out there that don't really understand what it takes and the levels to it. Also what careers can come from different levels. And branching out. But one thing I've learnt is that my biggest support comes from ur lecturers. Once I build bonds with them they can make things move for u. They give to those that ask, push, force and fight.
I am doing BApsychology also at wits first year 🙈😹 I heard that participating in social services and organisation by volunteering helps get one into hons/masters is that true ?
In my experience not really but having that information of your participantions will make ur CV look good but clinical you write a selection test and get interviewed before the selection process and most universities that offer clinical psychology only take about +- 16 to 20 students. So I would say listen in class tests are general basically work you have learned from 1st year all the way through hons. I know same goes for the rest except research psychology no tests are written but u must get above 65 or a 70 for your research report undergraduate and hons to qualify to do a masters. U must understand the dynamics of research it will help u alot. So do not skip those research methodology classes they are important!!
Johh guys I did my bsc in psychology at uj...I only found out about this stuff on my third year level...the nerves then got to me. I decided to start a whole new degree but in what 💔💔 engineering found a sponsor for engineering...I'm a second year now but it's showing me flames.... thinking of going back but I'm nervous ☠️☠️☠️
I am also doing Psych undergraduate 2nd year , I applied for BCOM accounting & BCOM economics and got accepted in both last year but 😂 I feared stats n maths so I decided to keep my BA n continue
I really don't have much to say about Demography and Population Studies on a general leve🤓l, I think maybe you can ask specific questions you want answers to then I will respond to those ❤💯
Hi sisi, I just wanted to know whether in wits (psychology, honours) you have to go through an interview and write motivational letters as well as have reference letters? Thank you
Im also stuck in that dilemma in terms of the process I have to go through in psychology like from Hons to masters 😂, I don't really care about the process I can still continue but then yoh this subject is interesting (psychology) n my other major is also interesting n I don't know with my 70s in 2nd yr currently whether I'll make it😅 however now I'm planning to improve n get distinctions in 3rd year , nice video really helped ❣️
Hey hey, I really do not remember hey, but I did pure maths however I'm not sure if it was a requirement. Look up the university prospectus I think it includes such information.

True🙏🏼, and its important to know from the beginning coz it's a huge decision and going in uninformed is not good at all

Doing my honours in psychology . Maybe will do my masters in Clinical or Research . It’s a long journey and one must be very patient/understanding.
Where are you studying and was it difficult getting into Honours?
I am studying law but here I am watching things about psychology because I enjoy your video’s. 😩🥰

I'm a final year student and I'm still not sure what psychology I want to do.
Follow your heart, it sound cliche but it actually works. 2 month later, have you perhaps decided? 😇
May you please do more content on Demography and population studies 🙏
I really don't have much to say about Demography and Population Studies on a general leve🤓l, I think maybe you can ask specific questions you want answers to then I will respond to those ❤💯

Hey hey 😇 I never had to,🤔 it was a while ago but i dont remmeber having to write motivational letters 💐.
I got two offers for hons one js BSc and the other is with BA. Help, me understand which one is more beneficial.
Depends on what you want to do. Once you've decided what your goal is, then you'll pick the route that speaks more to the goal. ❤️
I regret ever doing my BA in psychology and philosophy. I though like the fact that I am smarter in convos because of it. And that’s it! Lol
Oh no, but look no one that take that from you. You can only strive to make better decision from here on out. 🌻
Very good and funny videos bring a great sense of entertainment!
What are the subject requirements for psychology there
I really don't remember hey,🤔 for me this was almost 10 years ago😂 but yu can have a look on the sight for the info.💖
What about industrial psychology
I know at Wits you do a BA in Psychology and then an Honours in Organizational Psychology.
