      I'll think of a more relatable way of helping you understand this and make a video about it.

    Would language be a major setback for someone who is not bilingual? I worry about this a lot

    • @PsychIRL
      @PsychIRL  Год назад

      Hi Cleo, language does tend to be an issue. I experienced this when I moved to a different province (or state) where they spoke two languages I wasn't exposed to before. This barrier can be somewhat worked through if there are interpreters available but in my case there weren't resources to get interpreters so I had to learn the language and patients were so understanding and helpful while I was learning, although that did affect the therapeutic process as we'd spend time trying to rephrase and explain concepts to each other cause of the language barrier but in the end it worked out and made all the difference.

    Does clinical psychologist have more opportunities?

    • @PsychIRL
      @PsychIRL  Год назад +1

      It does give you several options so I'd like to say it does.

    Please break it down for me. What was your undergraduate to honours and masters? 🙏🏾😭🕯️

    • @PsychIRL
      @PsychIRL  2 года назад

      Undegrad and Honours really weren't any different from other academic programs hence I didn't make a video about them.

    Thanks for sharing, how hard or easy to get bursaries for masters in clinical psychology?

    • @PsychIRL
      @PsychIRL  3 года назад +2

      Masters level was a lot easier than undergrad and honours. It had to do with the level and the university I was at. They both opened up more opportunities.

    So marks play a big role?

    • @PsychIRL
      @PsychIRL  Год назад +1

      No, but they do get you to the door, the rest get you a seat at the table which is an interview.

      I would have loved to but honestly don't have the capacity. We do however, provide mentorship opportunities with qualified psychologists through my NPO Mind Matters. Please keep an eye on our socials for updates on such opportunities.

      Hi Godwin, ethics is very broad but I'll try see if I can find something to talk through dealing with an ethical dilemma
