Hey Frank! Awesome video. I've been building boards for a couple years now and have a couple tips if you're interested: 1. You can use 205g0 on all parts of your stab. Just brush it on the wire like you did with the stab housing. Also, make sure you lube the stab insert too (the part that you clipped). 2. Hard to tell, but it looks like your switches are not clipped into the plate so it's just resting on the pcb. I've also bought that plate from spacecat and I had the same issue. The switch cutouts are too loose. 3. Leaving the middle screw out won't soften your typing experience unless you also remove the standoff. The pcb is just resting on it now and likely making noise when it smacks against the standoff. 4. I know you said that switch you lubed was messy, but just in case, that was enough lube for about 3-4 switches. You want just enough that there is a slight gloss texture to the plastic. There should be no white globs or areas of excess buildup or the switch will feel gumed up and sluggish. Otherwise, this is a heck of a first build. My first "build" was literally just a switch swap, haha.
Thank you for being such an ambassador for the mech enthusiast community. And for supporting great people like JUJU who put alot of love into their handmade products.

That said, you can get an objectively good mechanical keyboard like a Ducky One 2 Mini or even a more well known Cooler Master for about $150 - $200. The offside is that those are mass produced, quality may not always be as good, and it won't be personalized aside from whatever RGB profiles you can assign to it.
I like the color of the SA keycaps but the icon fonts of the one you designed. Great vid sir
WOW man. Pretty damn looking keyboard. That block on the top adds so much its amazing. I really like it and your enthusiasm with it tells everything man.
pretty damn looking keyboard
Or you could just take a keyboard from your school's computer lab for free...
ShrekHarambe_702 or just kill someone and take their money
Jk
Yeah but will that keyboard actually be good?
Randomfrankp: Stubs his toe
Randommomp: come here honey I need to put a bandaid mod on your toe
Hold the L bud.
@@randomfrankp its a fucking joke sore ass lmao
My pc doesn't even cost as much as your keyboard..
It takes a lot of time to learn and build up an 'inventory' so to speak. It's very hard to buy exactly what you need for a single build in one go.
So if you keep collecting, then eventually things will fall together, like matching a keycap set to a case, bought at entirely different times.
I just discovered this channel, and man.. it is so fun to watch.
And expensive too
10:23 LMFAOOOOOO
lmao how cheap not even diamond coated lol
what a cheapskate.
"This thing is a tank, if I hit someone with this they would die" looooool keyboard and a weapon worthy investment
the problem with being subscribed to randomfrankp, is that every time he uploads i feel more broke
Lol I wish I could afford all these keyboard parts and more if I had the money to build keyboards like every holiday that'd be dope
Your choice for that plate is correct. Great keyboard, Frank. The sound is awesome. And ofc cool video too!
Finally!! Love your videos btw :D
Damm a fresh keyboard
custom $1000 monitor stand when?
random frank pp
Sounds like wooden pegs being pressed, unique sound lol
Micro usb 🤮😂 you could of gotten a type c for that price lol
Anh Khoa Ngo so it’s up to date and more durable
Whats the benefits and difference? Curious.
Justin Parnell you don’t need to look where to put it in because both sides are the same, unlike micro usb,and type c won’t break as easily
BANT3R is that really it? Are there performance differences?
Justin Parnell if you where charging it yes but no because it’s a keyboard, might have quicker response time, not 100% sure on that one
Watching this video for the first time:
what why is this 700 dollars LOL
Wathing this video as a keyboard veteran:
ahh finally a budget keyboard
That outsiders reference killed me 6:21

Lol I legit just finished building my custom mechanical keyboard
me too, custom mech keyboards are so underrated these days its 100x better than mass manufactured keyboards
@@MrBedh3ad better but unlike building a desktop where you can save money, you spend more money.
Ngl man I think I'm just gunna buy the gmmk base 60% from glorious, and just buy switches and key caps
Lol
That’s cool
Imagine being that cool to spend 700 dollars on a custom keyboard:00
Neither my cpu nor gpu is $680.. let alone my keyboard 😂
It pissed me off that he didn’t hit the v key even once during his test
