Just would like to say, I don't often post a comment. I loved that you picked one era of Victorian dress to focus on. It is always interesting to me, how each person's creativity comes out in their junk journals. All well loved junk jounals get well deserved stains on them. Plus, each journal is unique and one of a kind, no matter it's foibles. As everyone has posted, these are beautiful journals, and will be much appreciated by those who own them. They also inspire others!
Your journals are gorgeous! I see no mistakes, first rule of junk journals, there are no mistakes. If I had purchased the journal with the dropped page, I would have seen nothing wrong with it. Thank you for the flip throughs. Your journals always inspire me.
Hi Liz, welcome back, I missed seeing all your beautiful work . This theme is wonderful, I have often dreamed about how life would be back then. The fashions were so beautiful and the hats!!! I’m a hat person and just loved seeing the ladies wearing them …..thank you for more of your work to see. I’m excited for you thinking about your Mom’s abode being ready soon. Wow, it’s a beautiful plan. And how satisfying for you to have your family nearby 😊 Take care, and it’s always a feast of beauty for the eye when you share your work, thanks so much 🥰 Hugs. Maggie ❤️🤗🇨🇦❤️
This is the first time I've heard dangling lace referred to as "petticoats" and "drippings"...apt descriptors. Love all the fabric and lace page tabs I'm seeing...nice details. Ladies Diary is one of my all time favorites from G45...lovely images with which to work. Beautiful journals!!
I thought it was a monkey before I even heard you say it! I love to watch and listen to your videos and I draw much inspiration from you for creating my own journals. A note to all of us ... our journals are handmade and the imperfections are just a reflection of ourselves ... we are not perfect but are still worthy of love. Thank you, Liz.
Absolutely beautiful Journals! Love your attention to detail and the care you take in the placement of all your pretties you adorn each page with.. Thank you for showing us your lovely Journals!! ❤
Oh I would NEVER had seen any of your "mistakes" ever unless you pointed them out, and I still don't see them as mistakes. Just as a junk journal quirk. Love it so much. Happy to see your videos again :)
Hi Liz...So happy to see you here back again, with those lovely and elegant journals. You've made such a great and wonderful job,as Always and I liké your explanations about this period .Your " imperfections" or mistakes as you said give "cachet"(as we say in France) to your Pink journal, don't bother , so will not bother your Friend Christine. Take care of you and your family. Have a nice day😘 Christine, from France.
Love these journals. Thanks for all the inspiration. Best wishes to your Mom. You will love the opportunity to spend time with her. I cherish every moment I got to spend with my Mom. Kathy
What beauties!! Love the vibes your journals give! Remember, there are no mistakes with junk journaling- they are all unique as all handmade things are! But I do understand how you feel as I do the same thing !!
Hi Elisabeth, I'm so glad, you're back! Just a week ago, I looked your channel up and saw, that there haven't been any new videos for a very long time. I wondered and feared, that you might have stopped making junk journals. Happy to see these beautiful journals!
Hi Liz they look absolutely gorgeous, l love seeing your beautiful masterpieces always so inspiring and yes I thought it was a monkey riding a bike too. Enjoy having your craft room back and I’m looking forward to seeing what you create, have fun ❤️🤗
GORGEOUS Journals! I thought the rules of junk journals, there are no mistakes! Most junk journals have pages of different sizes. That's what give them there style! I wouldn’t have noticed if you hadn’t pointed it out. Your Friend is going to love the pink Journal! I sure do! Congrats on your Mom's new home! TFS - Crafty Hugs, Christal
Liz, "Pink" was just lovely! Those "flaws", I am sure, are extremely unnoticeable. I love the fashion of the Edwardians. Those florals were exquisite, as well.
Absolutely beautiful, when I first saw the guy in the middle on the bicycle I too thought it was a monkey. Then I looked again, and it was a man. It’s one of those trick photos. If you don’t look fast then little town. Your journals turned out, absolutely beautiful. I too have been wanting to make a Edwardian journal for some time now. I absolutely loved the petticoats on the bottom of the. I do believe I will try this with mine. This gave me inspiration. Thank you so much and have a blessed week… ❤🥰❤🥰❤
Beautiful as always ❤ bahaha the “monkey” on the bike 😂 I would not have seen it had you not mentioned it. Now I can’t unsee it. Thank you for the snickers. 😂 sending you love and hugs. Hang in there you are so close to the finish line. Mom is going to thrive in her beautiful new home. Building and having a full house of loved ones isn’t for sissies and you are doing it with beautiful grace and love. ❤
Hi, I love all three of your journals, if you hadn’t mentioned the mistakes I’m sure we wouldn’t have noticed, the beauty of each journal is all I saw. so gorgeous. Xx
HI LIZ, I'm in absolute LOVE with these journals. Lots of inspiration dripping from your mind to the journals. Pink is my favorite color so I truly enjoyed the flip thru of that journal, YUM. I remember my Mom getting a monthly issue of Life magazine and the Gibson girls were featured. My sister and I were so enamored with old fashioned themes and items and we loved that magazine. I find myself pining after the old in my life. My grandmother had 13 brothers and sisters and all were from Austria. The old furniture, clothes, decor and jewelry each of my great aunts had was so beautiful. I loved the coziness of it all. While most of my cousins went to my grandma's little side drawer in the bedroom bureau which contained pink bouncing balls to play with in the courtyard of her old high apartment building (they really bounced high and made this wonderful "pong" echo sound that I can still here in my head I loved looking through her antique (to me) jewelry and clothes just imagining my life perhaps in Paris or Vienna. How grande it must have been. Thank you for sharing these journals. XOXOJANE
So glad to see you sharing a video of more fabulous journals. These are so lush and elegant. And oh my goodness, the petti-coats and drippings. Made my evening. Thank you.
The Edwardian period is so glamorous, so feminine. Thank you for sharing your amazing art with us. All three are wonderful and the Pink Journal is glorious. I am sure any of us would be thrilled to own the Pink Journal! Your friend is blessed!
I love all that you do Mrs Cog! I have a partial of the Ladies Diaries that I have been waiting to use! I love the way they dressed back in the day! Oh so beautiful! I have the Edith Holden books too! She makes me smile! I also love all the black and whites too! Your trim is amazing! Tyfs!
Laughing! yes, I thought it was a monkey too! The journals are gorgeous and I remember you, yourself, saying that mistakes happen in junk journals and that's o.k. :) My Oma was a young lady in the Edwardian era and I have lots of photos of her in her lovely clothes. I think it was a very elegant era, if you had enough money, that is. You have come by some beautiful items of lace and trim and put them all to good use. Good luck to your mum, daughter and grand-daughter when they move in soon. It will be very nice to have you back with us for longer x
I was so excited when this video was posted, but I wasn't able to comment on that day and haven't been able to for about a week and a half (I think). Just wanted to say even your "oops" journal was gorgeous - I would have been honored to have it. Anyway, you are a really good daughter to take care of your family like you do. Take care and God bless you and your family. Sincerely Becky B from Arkansas
Welcome back! These are absolutely gorgeous! Love how you incorporated Ladies Diary in journal. My favorite of all G45! Blessings on your completion of your home! hugz
Thank you very much Nery. These journals would not be possible without the exquisite trims and lace from your shop. Wait until you see what I am creating with them next... big hugs!! :-)
I 100% thought it was monkey in between the two ladies!😅 I'm always so inspired with your journals and I agree with your family, the mistakes were minuscule!
Three lovely journals. I wondered where you were. It will be nice to have your own space back. Nothing like a quiet place to craft. Carol from California
So nice to see you back! And I totally agree with you.... Where oh where does the time go!? 😭 Loved hearing all the tidbits about style! Thank you Linda! Button, button, who has the button? lol Here my Amazon affilate links to buttons I've bought in the past. :-) amzn.to/3FYXkh9 and amzn.to/42tWO43 and amzn.to/40mF7Sq and amzn.to/3Jt8kUI
