Nice to here the comparison, I was lucky enough to get an Avalon bassline best synth I own. But the re-303 is a fine contender worth the extra money for sure
many thanks. have a behringer version on the way to accompany the RD-9 i picked up a few weeks ago. always heard the 303 was a pain to program. hey if the originators did it we should be able to coax somethin out of it too 😁
Thanks so much for sharing, very cool. I am glad the TD-3 keeps the transposing feature of the RE-303, but it is too bad it doesn't have the forward/backward/random (of your inputted notes) feature found. That is really cool.
@@RiemannKollektion it is, they've already made firmware updates to fix the slide over midi, but whether or not they'll add new functionality? Your guess is as good as mine. I doubt it, but I'm hopeful.
The TD3 actually has always had the ability to generate random patterns. Read the manual, it’s a simple matter of just a couple of simultaneous keypresses, I can’t remember which ones right now (because I never use the feature) but it is possible.
@@an1m yes, it is a combination of clear + start/stop. I guess I misunderstood, however. I thought the randomize feature on the other units, was to randomize the pattern based on what you created already, not a random pattern, from scratch.
In your own ears and experience , what would you say is the sound difference between the Behringer version and the original? Thanks for the great video!
The TD-3 can be a little too peaky in the resonance when high. But for the price it's not bad at all. It also has longer knobs, which I prefer. TT-303 mk2 is also a very worthy contender. Not as good looking as the others, but I find it a little more interesting with its expanded features.
You can transpose in Play mode in the OG version...but not the multi octave part. You know the pattern copy trick in the OG? Gotta say the Din Sync does sound quite nice...my OG unit is getting pretty worn out...prob the best option...but for $149...can’t get mad at the TB-3
Riemann Kollektion ...it’s a little tricky and NOT perfect but is an option...from Mr Din Sync himself. ruclips.net/video/RDG77c8lMEA/видео.html Great work you all are doing on this channel!
Yeah they go through the Boss KM-60 mixer which was running the levels a bit hot - but even if it's clean it needs a bit of drive isn't it... It makes it come alive
Hello does anybody know, if Its possible to use the tap mode for the RE-303 like in the original TB-303? On the original TB303 you can just hit the pattern clear button while playing and it would activate a metronome and you could program the timing with the tap button. Any help appreciated
you can but not with Sonic potion séquenceur, with the pixie mode has original tb you can do it has original ,métronome and tap....but no more random plays and all the New featurs of Sonic potion , you have the choice
good tutorial! in the same way you play the random mod , you can also chain the mods of the sequencer going forwards and back , duplicate the pattern ! just pressing the same button for random mod , but just one after there other, and the sequencer will play in ping pong ! not shore you mention this!
Rather buy a. Freight box. And a bit of land. Nice. Vid. Tho. Very. Didn’t want to spent. A lot on these when there cheaper on the begringer. Etc booteek
Then you own the one which does not have the same chip like the original maybe... Ask Andreas Kump or Dinsync but you know, each real 303 sounds different as well! Very different in fact! Same with 808s and 909s

great tutorial, easy to follow. can you please make one about how to program a analog rytm 1 ?
Ok we need to get one first

Is it possible to transpose two octaves up in the behringer?

Yeah I hope they make a formware update - is this even possible?

thanks for the awesome video and comparison ! Is the Sonic Potions CPU installed in the re-303 ?
Yeah and it's dope...
your videos are awesome
Cheers! Glad you like them...
NICE, THANX :)
great tutorial easy to follow you know your craft!
Thank you! Cheers!
Cool video, thx!!!
YOU'RE A LEGEND!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH AGAIN!
You are welcome!
In your own ears and experience , what would you say is the sound difference between the Behringer version and the original? Thanks for the great video!
The original is a bit more wild and edgy, more dirty - the Behringer a but cleaner and harmonic, good for melodic acid
To my ears the original sounds smooth and creamy--warmer in a sense. The TD-3 has a lot of edge to each note by comparison.

the fact that the title is 'fast and simple' and the video is 16 mins long tells you everything you need to know about programming a 303303030303 ;)

thanks very helpful

Great, thanks🖤
Parfait!Thanks
I want to buy the Behringer one! The distortion section would be really cool! what do you think?
maybe go for the re-303 by Dinsync it's closest to the original and you can have modifications + maybe a strong guitar pedal distortion!
You can;t go wrong with the TD-3, unbeatable for price, and the sound is as close as it gets, get it.

Where to get??????

You messed up. RE-303 does not sound identical to a real TB-303. I know because I own both of them.
