i love this video. it is adorable. i love will oldham! This kind of reminds me of Thanksgiving... a time when you talk to people in your family that just don't get it... just like the pilgrims and natives did so many years ago.
It's funny how they're talking like he's some random local who happened to come into contact with a real celebrity. Evidently they are not acquainted with his own legacy.
this video is great -- couldn't believe Will Oldham on Fox! i actually liked the whole interview. people who think of Will Oldham as an "Artiste" are ridiculous ... part of the pleasure of his music is that he doesn't pull that Holier Than Thou crap. I thought this was a great and very intriguing interview. Made me a bigger fan of Will ... Really liked his playing and singing too
I find this interview excruciating to watch. Here we have, in my opinion, a genius of music with two DOOFUSES who are passed off as ,intelligently informed individuals. The gap in intelligence is shown here quite quite succinctly. Bonnie, you're a Godsend to music. One word of advice for MISS KANSAS CITY TV "interviewer" stick to reviewing beauty products.
Will was being very tolerant of that attention seeking clown- but I noticed Will reserved him a stern glare with some cold eye contact straight after singing "hear them bicker, watch them die impaled on balsa spears" (at 5:30) . Anybody with an active neuron would've sensed this was a direct fuck you, which is why it went completely over the host's head.
@NoDirectionHome19 You call them 'moronic' / 'ass clowns' / and their program 'lame ass' and call me a 'douche' (whatever that is) - I simply said that there are many fakes on TV and that I felt sorry for the interviewer who was nervous - who exactly is the one 'calling them out' in a way that you take offence with again? PS - 'doesn't negate the fact' not 'does negate the fact'.
Hahaha - How bizarre - They dont know what the hell to make of him! Wage slave meets free wheeling musical genius! Brilliant! I feel sorry for her also though - she is uncomfortably nervous in the face of true greatness and that which she doesnt understand - its not unusual in this age of fakes and frauds.
I used to work at a television station and the best they could drum up was Ted Nugent. Still, if they had gotten Will on the show, it would have made me a very confused man (*This shitty show?*) and possibly sick since our anchors were bigger knuckleheads than these two.
Good lord... these morning show dingdongs are an embarassment to Kansas City. They treat a superb musician such as this with ignorant disrespect, but fawn over pop acts such as David Cook like he's the greatest thing since sliced bread.
@NoDirectionHome19 I didn't degrade anybody - my comments were sincere - you degraded the interviewers and me (you will die alone - douche etc) - Im a guy who saw an interesting video and made a comment - what are you? The thought police? Can I please log onto this site again without having to contend with your irritating comments? Why are we even talking about our own characteristics? This isn't the forum at all - If you want to spar / debate with someone may i recommend a friend? therapy?
genious. this guy is holding the artistic bar where it should be, he is so underrated, pisses me off. love him, unreal
fuck me, the bit where he sings "The men are wailing toothless, the ladies ghostly pout" with that look at them? beautiful!
I love the way Will looks at that swaying douche anchor when he sings "hear them bicker, watch them die impaled on balsa spears."
One of the better mustaches on the indie scene today. Probably the best.

BPB can take the worst of an awkward situation and still make gold
You can tell he’s a real artist because he’s such an earnest fellow.
Wow, 15 years already. I went to the show that night in Lawrence, Kansas.
Surreal to watch. "BIG FRIDAY! I Love Big Friday!" Jesus woman!
Well done Will, for putting up with these fools.............
It's funny how they're talking like he's some random local who happened to come into contact with a real celebrity. Evidently they are not acquainted with his own legacy.
Yeah! Freakin' out the mainstream since 1970
Life is this ridiculous.
This is surreal, like a parody movie
Is that Leland from Twin Peaks? Poor Will, always such a gentleman.
will's a trooper for sharing a room with those clowns
Hey man, they're used to being there for making Ted feel smooth about his shit day and mad about the right things. She did okay.
Will, you are everything! Kudos for not punching that guy in the face!
Hilarious! When 2 worlds collide and neither understand the other...
"we've got a street here called oldham"
This is too perfect
This video is surreal. Very funny at the end seeing the newscaster bobbing his head like a little kid watching Yo Gabba Gabba.
Legend
I half expected the news reporter to clap along with those papers in her hand and a silly smile on her face.
can't we all just get a bong
Holy moly!
excelente 👍👍👍
oh my, this has to be one of the most awkward things I have ever seen. Well done Bonnie for staying this composed.
Michael 'Jay' Fox ...
Man this guy is interesting and unique.
MY Hero

@HERET0G0 "he filled his shell plus a centimetre". classic
good advices
I like the part where he's just about to explain Scottish history to that woman. haha
This is probably the norm for him when he does morning show interviews out on the road.

they had no idea who bonnie prince charlie was
Why did he agree to do this?
dat ankle
totally surreal, he looks completely out of place there!
but, not much bonnie prince interviews out there, so great to see all the same.
Will Oldham is bigger than life
@shilohwillcome i suppose.
If that was my hometown newsteam, I would be SO fucking embarrassed for bPb to come on.
BONNIE 'PRINCE'!...uhbilly.
Bonnie sneak dissin
@HERET0G0 It makes good sense, like, a prideful man hates prideful men.
@overfedwhale jajaja i completely agree with you
Damn. I'm glad Will has a sense of humor, because apparently his fans are all loons.
An odd little man, but I love his music!
Will Oldham is an Hero
Surely this is a spoof!
That male anchor is a fool swaying like that, and interupts Will at the start of the song.

The pot calls the kettle black
I see a darkness....
Wow they were so rude to the guy
bpb on tv? Seems a little out of place next to those two. Bout time he got some recognition even if it was a particularly insulting interview.
0:30 - “asterik” ...let’s remember, folks... she gets _paid_ to use the english language. *Paid.*
They understand nothing!
Jesus, when the guy starts shakin in tune with Wills singing. Terrrriible :)
Both interviewers are hostile.
hhahah
69
Michael J. Fox.
@AlanHolsworth Did your lobotomy hurt?
downright creepy

This is grim. Who the fuck is this woman
Good lord... these morning show dingdongs are an embarassment to Kansas City. They treat a superb musician such as this with ignorant disrespect, but fawn over pop acts such as David Cook like he's the greatest thing since sliced bread.
Jeezy Creezy, this is bad. Just bad.
Those two interviewers are horrible.

the two worst songs on the album!
no wonder he never does interviews, these guys are tools. i'm amazed he was able to sit through that
that lady is a terrible t.v. host
