I personally liked this ride. It's better than Georgia Scorcher IMO. Yeah, it can get a bit uncomfy but it's still awesome if you can look past that. I'll miss it. Looks like the standup coaster is a dying breed.
May I use this for a tiktok edit?(mantis vs. Rougarou) I would give credits too😄
I've always loved the look of this coaster. The colour scheme, the trains. Before I knew what heart-lining was I always used to say this coaster had an 'attitude' in the way it took the corners. I was ok with it changing to floorless trains but I'm not keen on the Rougarou theming at all. It makes no sense. At least Mantis had a Cedar Point style colour scheme.
It’s a shame i’ve never experienced a B&M Stand-Up coaster. The only stand-up coaster i’ve ever ridden is Shockwave at Drayton Manor.
I mean the track is still there but basically they painted it the rest of the way orange and called it Rougarou
This is exact same track as Rougaru. They gave it new paint, new trains, and a new name. Might even be an improvement over Mantis, which I did enjoy.
I got to do the mantis it was awesome but the guy in our group wasn’t so happy cuz it hurt his um area lol
I miss Mantis. Sure, it had a ping pong effect on your head, but if you knew to brace for it, it was just a lot of fun and a rather unique ride especially at the beginning. I also really liked the coloring and watching the drop and first loop from the ground was always fun. Between that and MF (truly a GOAT), it was a the place to be at the park! I’m sorry, but I just don’t care for Rougarou (and that has little to do with the fact that it replaced a ride I really liked) and was very underwhelmed. It’s not a ride I’d wait very long on line for. Oh well, more time on so many other amazing rides!
Rougarou is the same ride as Mantis, you're just sitting down instead of standing up.

A few major problems with equipping this with floorless trains are that the heartline is different, which would probably make for some awkward transitions, and the station would have to be redesigned to utilize the retractable floors. But I agree, as standup coasters might be my least favorite type. A sitdown model would be a more likely replacement, but would still pose issues. As for the trim, it probably needs it. Did you see how fast it gets in the elements preceeding the MCBR? O__O

they would hit too much speed into the elements pulling lots more G's. You can remove em but enjoy your headache

Sorry, but I do not miss this at all. Standing was so hard on the crotch and head. Now that it's a floorless, it's more thrilling and less painful.

its extremely uncomfortable. Probably my least favorite ride along with mean streak and corkscrew. Those 3 are really bad.
