I don't blame ASJ, Walter Jones, and Thuy Trang for walking out. Austin noticed the injustice going on, and he took a stand. He said all the rangers were with him, including JDF. What gets me is why did one half stay, and the other half leave if they were with Austin on the walkout? Like he said, it's BS for a show to be #1 in the world, a boss get's well over a billion dollars, and won't give his people a pay raise.

My thing is look at the hit that Austin's, Thuy's, and Walter's careers took for leaving too early. If they had stayed through the movie and into season 3 and gotten a send off like Amy Jo, their careers would've fared much better.

Austin St. John, *The Original and Greatest Red Ranger, Is Amazing... I remember being 5 years old and watching MMPR and loving it instantly. The Red Ranger became my hero. My childhood was not so great, but it was a TV show. MMPR helped me have hope, mainly because I saw how the Power Rangers never gave up. So I'd like to say thank you, Austin St. John. You will never know how you gave me hope and helped me. From childhood to now, I'm 25 and I still see you as my hero. And yeah, I know you most likely won't see this, but I just had to write it. My mom and sisters all wanted to fuck Jason after we met him at a mall. He was the fave with the kids and the ladies. Then tommy comes along and since he was something new(ya know the new shiny thing is always wanted) everyone seemed to forget how much they loved Jason and tommy took over. Like I get it, the moms and kids had a new favorite ranger at the moment, but I think it’s lame that Saban felt he had to write it into the show that tommy is the new leader. He didn’t have to pander to the fans so much. It wouldn’t have hurt the show to have Jason still the clear leader but to also have tommy as his right hand man. But nope. Since the world was Gaga over this NEW guy, Saban was done with Jason. It’s a great example of something doing their job perfectly, but having no control over their future comes someone else comes along and does it even “more” perfectly. Tommy IS my favorite of all time, but the only thing I don’t like about his character is how he stole the light from the true leader. U know when tommy gets the white ranger powers and Gets introduced to his teammates? Jordan says, even tho Jason was still there and still supposed to be the leader, “so rangers, I take it you are all pleased with the new LEADER of the power team?” Lol and Jason’s character was forced to say the line “this is awesome” just to make sure all the fans knew tommy was the new leader. Like why? Why does he get to be the leader all of a sudden just cuz he got new powers? If you compare it to a sports team, imagine if a team has a Star QB doing an amazing record setting job, but the team trades for a new QB just cuz they think he will get people excited cuz it’s something new...that would be a horrible decisions and ruin team chemistry. Rocky were obviously incomparable with Tenkasei Ryo.. for me all the other red power rangers series after both of them are nothing compared to their sentai red rangers counterparts..
At least Austin came back on several occasions which is more than the other two can say. We'll sadly never get to see Thuy again but I’m still holding out that Walter will make a return.
Michael Marriott I know he voiced the Nightmare Monster in Lost Galaxy and Gerrok in Wild Force. They had a perfect opportunity to bring Zack back for Megaforce, but Walter decided not to out of support for David Yost.

I am sure he is happier now more than ever, and as a fan, he is a true superstar. Things could've taken a little turn if he had just held on. If you work you butt off on a extremely popular show that is making lots of money but you don't see much of it, and you're struggling to pay bills? Hmmmm. Well if he wasn't turning down better offers to stay on the show then I would say hold on. But if he was? Then yeah leaving was a good choice. I personally would only stay at a place that isn't paying me as much as I think I deserve, if no better oppourtunities are available.
Austin's actions were justified. Haim Saban has always tried to cut corners, financially, which I can respect to some degree, because that's why he's still successful. The actors definitely weren't paid their dues, after the profits skyrocketed.
I'm 37 and all of a sudden I'm 14 again!! I remember very vividly because at this time (93/94) I was already out of toys & cartoons and instead into girls and starting a punk/grunge band, However I Loved this show! It was very popular amongst us punk kids. I never imagined I would be showing my own children MMPR but they Love it, so I thank you & everyone that was involved in the series and making it what is/was, I appreciate everything that was done, again Thank You!

Does anyone else get this strangest feeling that Karen Ashley had a huge crush on David Yost? She's always looking at him with this bright smile and her eyes are just glued to him most of the time.
She's worked with him a lot so she's more familiar with him. She also knew that he wasn't fully comfortable so she was doing what she could to make him feel comfortable.

It is so great to see these guys back together. I was sad when Walter, Austin, and Thuy left the show. But I really liked Steve Cardenas, Karan Ashley, and especially Johnny Yong Bosch. David Yost as Billy was always my favorite, I was a geeky kid and I really related to him, and when I found out he was gay later in life, that paralleled my own struggles with my sexuality. I am very sad about what happened to Thuy Trang, I know that if she had lived, I imagine she'd be involved in the convention scene and doing interviews like this. She was incredible, I would have loved to meet her.
I’m kinda bummed Billy didn’t talk much about his experiences on set and how he managed to overcome them. As a big fan of the show I became really angry as an adult when I found out Billy was constantly bullied by people on the set for his sexuality I imagine it was teamsters and even some of the crew which is awful but just know Billy we got your back my dude ✊🏼❤️❤️❤️❤️

I met him just this past weekend at the London ComicCon. Real modest guy and a great buzz to have a conversation/ask questions with, whether it's about his time with Power Rangers or not. And I will stress to anyone else not to be fooled by his physique nowadays, just by shaking his hand I wouldn't rate my chances against him in a dojo haha.

I think Saban would be an IDIOT to not include the original guys in the new movie, they don't even have to play their old roles, but as a mentor role, or even as a cameo. The new movie has to bank on bringing back some of the older fans who grew up watching Mighty Morphing Power Rangers and these guys are a big draw for many older fans like us to see them involved in some way, in any way. It would be a great nod of appreciation to include them, to show how much work that they put into the older show and how influential they were to our childhood, but judging from the stories of how the suits and ties treated the originals it may not come to pass, i'm hoping it would, i'd definitely see that movie.

@@chrisschrock5117 the red ranger(Jason) was never demoted and Jason would have remained leader had he stayed on the show with Tommy and Zack being second in command, but Austin had already left the show and ADR sessions way before the white ranger episode aired, Tommy only became leader because Jason left(the dub line with zordon btw was originally are you happy with the new member, only changed to new leader after Austin had left), even was clarified in Zeo that Jason left the team in good hands with Tommy as leader.

I got to meet Austin St. John and Walter Jones this year. Really awesome guys, they're incredibly nice to their fans. During their panel, this one girl wanted to ask them a question but she was so starstruck and shy that she had gone all bashful. So the two invited her up on stage to sit between them. Again, she was trying to gather her courage to talk but she just couldn't stop blushing, so Austin pulled her in to a hug and the she just snuggled next to him. It was both funny and sweet.
Ive met Johnny Young Bosh....personally don't much care for the guy. I watched him try to get my friend to take him to subway at a con, and when my friend refused he bitched at him for it....and personally i don't believe you have the right to treat others like lesser people just because your famous. If others are into celebrity worship...cool...but, not me.

If you work you butt off on a extremely popular show that is making lots of money but you don't see much of it, and you're struggling to pay bills? Hmmmm. Well if he wasn't turning down better offers to stay on the show then I would say hold on. But if he was? Then yeah leaving was a good choice. I personally would only stay at a place that isn't paying me as much as I think I deserve, if no better oppourtunities are available.
Austin's actions were justified. Haim Saban has always tried to cut corners, financially, which I can respect to some degree, because that's why he's still successful. The actors definitely weren't paid their dues, after the profits skyrocketed.

I remember very vividly because at this time (93/94) I was already out of toys & cartoons and instead into girls and starting a punk/grunge band, However I Loved this show! It was very popular amongst us punk kids. I never imagined I would be showing my own children MMPR but they Love it, so I thank you & everyone that was involved in the series and making it what is/was, I appreciate everything that was done, again Thank You!

It is so great to see these guys back together. I was sad when Walter, Austin, and Thuy left the show. But I really liked Steve Cardenas, Karan Ashley, and especially Johnny Yong Bosch. David Yost as Billy was always my favorite, I was a geeky kid and I really related to him, and when I found out he was gay later in life, that paralleled my own struggles with my sexuality.
I am very sad about what happened to Thuy Trang, I know that if she had lived, I imagine she'd be involved in the convention scene and doing interviews like this. She was incredible, I would have loved to meet her.
I’m kinda bummed Billy didn’t talk much about his experiences on set and how he managed to overcome them. As a big fan of the show I became really angry as an adult when I found out Billy was constantly bullied by people on the set for his sexuality I imagine it was teamsters and even some of the crew which is awful but just know Billy we got your back my dude ✊🏼❤️❤️❤️❤️

I met him just this past weekend at the London ComicCon. Real modest guy and a great buzz to have a conversation/ask questions with, whether it's about his time with Power Rangers or not. And I will stress to anyone else not to be fooled by his physique nowadays, just by shaking his hand I wouldn't rate my chances against him in a dojo haha.

I think Saban would be an IDIOT to not include the original guys in the new movie, they don't even have to play their old roles, but as a mentor role, or even as a cameo. The new movie has to bank on bringing back some of the older fans who grew up watching Mighty Morphing Power Rangers and these guys are a big draw for many older fans like us to see them involved in some way, in any way. It would be a great nod of appreciation to include them, to show how much work that they put into the older show and how influential they were to our childhood, but judging from the stories of how the suits and ties treated the originals it may not come to pass, i'm hoping it would, i'd definitely see that movie.

@@chrisschrock5117 the red ranger(Jason) was never demoted and Jason would have remained leader had he stayed on the show with Tommy and Zack being second in command, but Austin had already left the show and ADR sessions way before the white ranger episode aired, Tommy only became leader because Jason left(the dub line with zordon btw was originally are you happy with the new member, only changed to new leader after Austin had left), even was clarified in Zeo that Jason left the team in good hands with Tommy as leader.

Karen Ashley was the perfect replacement for the original yellow ranger I don't care what anybody says she bought a energy to her especially from the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers movie that no other Yellow Ranger has ever been able to bring since. Imo.

I got to meet Austin St. John and Walter Jones this year. Really awesome guys, they're incredibly nice to their fans. During their panel, this one girl wanted to ask them a question but she was so starstruck and shy that she had gone all bashful. So the two invited her up on stage to sit between them. Again, she was trying to gather her courage to talk but she just couldn't stop blushing, so Austin pulled her in to a hug and the she just snuggled next to him. It was both funny and sweet.

Ive met Johnny Young Bosh....personally don't much care for the guy. I watched him try to get my friend to take him to subway at a con, and when my friend refused he bitched at him for it....and personally i don't believe you have the right to treat others like lesser people just because your famous. If others are into celebrity worship...cool...but, not me.
You know, how about just a reality show with a bunch of these guys living under one roof?? I can't get enough of how funny and great the actual people are! It's really great to see all them laughing and reminiscing on MMPR!

I could see David in a sitcom as a grumpy roommate who eventually develops into the sassy roommate. He'd have some great lines and cause some of the funniest moments. I think he'd be great.
