Back when they put dipsticks in for the transmission. Why didn't you fill the transmission fluid where the dipstick goes?

You should NEVER touch the throttle body plate. Very sensitive and can damage it. Instead, turn the key to the on position without starting the car and put a weight on the gas pedal. It will open up the electronic throttle plate. Or completely take off the throttle body. Easy to do too!

did you do the coils or injectors or spark plug wires? great video man this helps a lot as I'm about to do all this as well. and did you do the brake fluid flush? i didn't see that

These cars have coil on plug. So no wires. I don’t change coils unless they’re misfiring So you can get away with just plugs. I did flush the brake fluid too. Sucked out the master and filled with fresh. Then let it gravity bleed. Good luck!

No I did not. Wouldn’t be a bad idea to reset the cal but I didn’t have the equipment to do that at the time.

Is it bad to change tranny fluid? I heard it was a bad thing to do

Some people say that changing transmission fluid can dissolve particulate with the new detergents in the fluid, and send it throughout the transmission, and do damage. That’s only if you’ve got a vehicle that’s been going for basically forever without having a fluid change. And it doesn’t always happen. So there’s a small risk, but I always take the risk because I like my new fluids. Old fluid degrades, and that could do damage too. I’d stay away from a flush, but a basic drain and fill on a lower mileage transmission is definitely not going to hurt anything. I don’t care what Subaru says. They want to sell you a new transmission when yours blows up at 100 thousand miles. 😂

If you change fluid every 50k miles you should be good if you haven’t changed it with long miles like 150k or so then they recommend to check how bad the fluid is if it’s really bad then don’t change it
