I have a bookmark that I bought when visiting Sydney, Australia. ‘Time you enjoyed wasting, is never wasted time’. I bought this after sitting on a beach for about three hours just watching the sea and thinking how fortunate I was just being there.
I LOVE that you involve your children in your everyday day tasks. Thats what my mother did. Wether it was letting me and my sister help make dinner or mop the floor or fold the laundry, she let us be an important part of the process. So many parents these days push their children off and give them a tablet so they aren’t in the way as they do these kinds of things instead of integrating them into their lifestyle and that definitely feels backwards to me. It’s beautiful to see parents who parent intentionally 💕
I often think, when I shop, “this is so cute, but I have no where to wear this” but I love how you talked about wearing special clothes even at home with your kids. Being alive is a special thing
I recently read an article on Maria Shriver's blog written by an end of life doula. She said that when people are dying what they say they're going to miss most besides family & friends are the mundane aspects of life--like eating a warm bowl of oatmeal every morning & other daily rituals. This video reinforces that message. Everything is beautiful, as you say, especially if we appreciate the small, mundane moments. I love how you say--You don't have the energy to stay up at night gratitude journaling or practicing some elaborate self-care practice. YES! Live it throughout the day.
when you grow up in a chaotic environment or go through a lot of trauma, peace tends to feel like extreme boredom. Romanticizing my quiet peaceful moments has made me so much more joyful. I no longer run face first into bad situations with bad people just to have the familiar feeling of chaos. ‘Boredom’ has become a blessing to me
It is strange how the brokenness of our upbringing is something we may seek out in different ways because of the familiarity of it. God has helped me get past so much from my past. I too use feel an odd comfort in isolation, broken relationships and more -- that negative familiarity. I thank the Lord Jesus for helping me see that and heal me. I hope you find His peace.
This video reminds me of that quote that says life is what happens when you are busy making other plans. It so important to appreciate the little and repetitive moments of our lives because they are literally 99% of its.
One of my favorite scriptures says, give thanks in ALL things. It brings contentment. Thank you for the reminder. I am getting ready to retire. I have been concerned about getting bored, that leads to depression. Your video has reminded me of living that simple life and enjoying everyday life.
This is a very good remedy for depression. I have struggled with depression as long as I can remember. To try and enjoy the little things and not fuss over everyday failures, etc, can make life so much less mundane and more enjoyable. Thanks for sharing.
Love to stop at little libraries on a sunny walk 💛 and love the perspective that a walk anywhere can be beautiful! Look for the good in where God has you!
Ahh, thank you! I came to the comments to see if anyone explained what this little outdoors bookcase thing is! I've seen some people in the wealthier neighborhoods nearby who put these tiny libraries out but wasn't sure if that's what we're seeing in this video 😊
I am sitting in sweet tears right now and thinking about how my daughter is 15 and we have four years left of homeschooling. I cannot wait to savor each special moment with her in these last few years of her childhood. I may even start a channel just to capture it and have something to look back on. Just for us. Thank you for sharing your special moments with us and reminding the world to slow down and love deeply.
This is my second time watching this video. It so aesthetically pleasing. You have so beautifully captured the energy of slowing down and appreciating every moment through your videography. Thank you 💜✨
Thank you ! I was feeling awful and about to do something I was going to regret. This shifted my perspective like that. I'm blessed and I should enjoy the blessings that I have.
Social media, movies and things around us show us how to glamorize drama and intense emotions. We should all normalize seeing beauty and romanticizing the little, quiet things in life. It will make for a calmer and more peaceful society. Teaches the body to lean off of the adrenaline and stress hormones many people are addicted to these days.
I am learning to romanticize my life more ❤ as a stay at home mom , things can feel mundane sometimes. 😅 but, finding joy in the mundane is so so life changing
hello , I was to busy working most of my life & not really taking time to enjoy things , till I got very sick not that long ago , I nearly kicked the bucket , so now look at things so differently, same it took a near death experience for me to realize that . 🙂🙏
This video was perfect for me this morning as for the past few days, I've been waking up feeling super anxious and this video has helped me to calm down and slow down. I love the idea of eating breakfast by the candlelight! I'll definitely try it. Thank you Madisun 🥰💗
❤❤❤ when my children were younger we lived in a log home in the country and I made bread weekly. We picked berries from our bushes and apples from our tree. We later in the hammocks on the porch and took naps in the sunlight after lunch. I’m so grateful for that time with them and for the presence that we shared. Now that only 2 are home with me, I make sure to give them my full attention even as I make items for my business. Life Is Sweet, always ❤
What you showed me today is the grace I admired in my best friends mother as she calmly handles every task, cherishes every ray of sunshine. Touches my heart to see your video about this today. In a way it’s what I have been trying to do after my burn out, to slow down and learn to live with less. Now I want to take it further and handle everything with love and cherish every moment ❤️
Hey Madisun, i just wanted to thank you so much for your wonderful work! Your channel has been so motivating and inspiring for me during my own minimalism and slow living journey. Keep up the good work and keep sharing your wisdom. Love from Germany, Melina 😊😊
I just found you and I'm in awe, I have started doing this thus year after getting covid.. realizing life is beautiful. I lost a brother and going through the moments and grief being a mother- it's hard.. but you have shown beautiful was to stay happy. ❤️ blessed day to you
Thank you so much for this video, I live alone and often complain that my life is boring and often compared my life to the more exciting life of other and never thought about making daily task enjoyable
I enjoyed macrame as a preteen and into my late teens. Decades later I taught myself crocheting from RUclips & it feels like macrame with a hook. For the last two yrs I’ve made so many fun projects for my grandchild, friends & even strangers. Focusing on what’s in my hands helps to block out the noises of the world.
Encouraging video,. to get up and seize my days off work & make life fulfilling & beautiful, even in this dark world we live in. It's so easy to become depressed being alone in life. Its like my joy and purpose in life ended when my children grew up & left home. Thank you for sharing your life & thoughts. I will keep this video for those days when I need to get pushed out of bed.
Living a more simple life is what my soul has been craving for a long time. I've simplified some but there is still sooo much more. Your videos speak to me 🦋 And... my first car was that same Volvo but a mustard yellow color. I loved that car 💛
children flourish in this type of environment! It breaks my heart when I see parents glued to their iphonesin the presence of their children and often wonder about the long term effect of being raised like that.
I LOVE dresses. I started wearing my favorite dresses every day instead of saving them for special occasions…game changer for my mood and outlook on life!
I love your content, Madisun, and this video really blessed my heart. I’m a homeschool mom as well, but my kids are older than yours (10 and 11). Watching your videos brings back so many fond memories of my kids, with their adorable toddler hands, helping me make our homemade food everyday. I also “get ready” everyday, even though I’m at home with my kids all day. And I love how you explained your reasoning for doing that - because being home IS special! Why not wear your special clothes and makeup for the special occasion of staying home to teach and raise your children?!?! I love the perspective you have on motherhood and homemaking! I also want to encourage you as a fellow homeschool mom who has had a few more years than you to see the fruit of similar labor. Your kids will also be content in their hearts with the simple things in life and they will be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger (James 1:19-20) because of what you are cultivating in them now. ❤
You’re blessed. Not everyone is allowed this kind of life. I wanted this for my children, but life is more than hard as a single, working mother. I feel they lost out on so much. I have done my best, but have so much sadness and regret. Be so thankful you have been given this life. I am happy for you.
I have noticed that on days when I’m home alone and it’s quiet, I get immense pleasure from just looking at my sleeping cat and dog. In those moments I don’t want to be anywhere else in the world.
Thank you for sharing your world. This video made me tear up. I started watching your videos a while back and recently had my fourth baby. During the early days of her life when I was struggling with the sleepless nights and postpartum anxiety I would turn on one of your videos and you have no idea how much it helped my day. Fast forward 4 months and I am now in the thick of life with 4 littles one (age 5 and under) and this one in particular was exactly what I needed. Thank you wonderful human for all you do 💛 and all you are. 🙏🏼
I had to stop and comment on your beautiful video. I’m 62 years old and to hear millennials, taking a step back from the hustle of their lives, social media and busy jobs/ families was completely breathtaking… three out of my four daughters have now taken steps to move out of the city and then to beautiful lives. We are a family that practices, sustainability, slow, living, creative crafts, and mindful, cooking and eating. That was a huge part of my childhood but as I became a single mother, it went further and further away. Now my girls are rediscovering all of the wonderful things that I did as a child gardening and crafts we are all huge “ foodies” and her constantly sharing recipes and ideas. I love you watch more of your videos and sharing with my girls. Thank you for what you do.
This was in my recommended feed and I’m so glad it was! I’m going to make that blanket with my son, your whole video made me so happy! P.S. Your hair all wavy in the ribbon is SO pretty 💗
Yes to everything in this video 🥹 Having this awareness drastically increases your quality of and contentment in life. I am all for slow and meaningful living!
This was one of the most lovely videos I’ve seen in a while. I needed this reminder. A stay at home mum with 3 kids under 5 I find myself rushing around all the time and hating constantly cleaning, washing, tidying etc. but I do love the result after so I definitely need to enjoy the process more and get the kids involved! Thanks. I also love crocheting, making bread and gardening. Shame we don’t live closer because I think we’d be great friends!
I’ve been doing this for 6 months slowly and I feel so different and happy a lot of the time my family and people around think it’s wired and sometimes get annoyed why I’m positive of everything
I feel like your videos came to me for a reason. I’m at a time in my life where I am home a lot more and not finding the peace in it that I would like. I’m seeing the clutter and endless amount of “stuff” that needs to be cleaned and sorted through. I want to live a more peaceful, slow life but also more fun now that I have a toddler and baby on the way. I want to transform my life. I have every intention of enrolling in your course. I just did a beautiful photo shoot over the weekend (I do photography on the side to bring in some money) that could pay for most of it. I’m excited to get started. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos. ❤🙏🏼
Hey Madisun! I just wanted to tell you that my life has changed since finding your channel. Not so much my home and the things around me (although I'm slowly working on decluttering my house and life), but my mindset and the peace I have within myself have changed totally. I'm a christian, wife, and a mom of two littles 2 years old and under, and life feels so overwhelming sometimes. You inspire me to shift my mindset more every day, and I feel more peaceful than I have in probably 10 years. Keep doing what you're doing, and thank you for sharing your gift and heart with us. Bless you!
Hannah! This is so sweet. Thank you for your kind words. You are exactly who I make these videos for and especially my course. I’m so glad they are resonating with you. It’s the videos I wish I had when I was first having my babies ❤️
The fact that you are making a blanket and watching Ina Garten with your kids… I love all of this. Thank you for this message. Have been feeling overwhelmed lately… really by the “should be” thoughts in my mind.
i love your videos and what you are made of. you talk so simply and comfortably but it resonates so much and transmits comfort. i feel you are so intelligent and feminine and i love it.
I like to think like you, adding meaning to the everyday little things, to the everyday stuff you have to do, make a therapy out of it. I love that way of thinking 🙂🙂🙂 thanks for letting me know I'm not the only one
I’m a high school teacher and a busy mom. I often find myself too scattered to give my mind quiet time or notice the beauty around me. Thanks for the inspiration.
This is really beautiful. This video was chalk full of self-care ideas and ways of thinking. Sometimes I find these videos that don't have a list land better for me in terms of taking in the info and having it resonate.
I love all your videos but this is the one I watch almost daily for support in this process and for comfort. I would love a transcript. I'm amazed that by. just starting to take steps to slow living, it found me. Thank You Madi for staying true to this way and for your kindness in this world. I look forward to taking your course and getting the new "catalog"🧡
whoa, i never really see life this way. And I'm really attached with the way you say that "if it makes you happy, it is not a waste of time" that is such a great word to live by :)
i am a housewife, watching this video from another part of the world, Malaysia, thanks for changing my perspective to look differently at the everyday mundane routine. i'm definitely feel refreshed and yesss somehow me myself just couldnt accept that we "dont really do anything throughout the day" when in fact we've been doing almost everything that we think we could to just fit into the society expectation of being a housewife. i'm embracing the life i have now thanks much thanks
"If it makes you happy it is not a waste of time" so so true and that understanding in itself is beautiful
Thank you Amanda ❤️
That really hit me 💖

Thank you Phoebe. I am so passionate about that. ❤️
My daughter used to like to mop the floor when she was little. Didn't help! And when she was a baby she'd hand me a washcloth. Cutest thing!
I love that she does this too! It builds a remarkable bond. I did this with my son and now I do it with his children.
I am guilty of this. I realize now that I am causing a problem. I am trying to change. It’s not too late yet.
Am this Mother who parents intentionally, involving my children n neighborhood child to do activities with me.
I often think, when I shop, “this is so cute, but I have no where to wear this” but I love how you talked about wearing special clothes even at home with your kids. Being alive is a special thing
Yes 🙌🏻 thanks for watching ❤️
I am a stay home 🏘️ mother so I 👗 dress up n do my make up and enjoy my day...let me go do just that
Thank you for reminding me that a mundane life is not boring. It’s beautiful ❤
So much to be grateful for ❤️

So true. Thanks for watching Jasmin ❤️
That quote was used in John Lennon’s song: Beautiful Boy (which he wrote for his second son, Sean; it is featured on his Double Fantasy album).
"If it makes you happy, it's not a waste of time ". I love that quote.
Thank you Beverly ❤️
I am aiming for this type of lifestyle. Godly, sophisticated, and simplistic. Thanks for this upload.
Thank you for watching ❤️
I like how you paired sophisticated with simplistic. Her choice of the word romantic was great too. Godly for certain!
Amen
This is how I've been living for the past two years and it's the happiest I've ever been!
I’m so glad ❤️

I love this mindset of appreciation and gratitude in the little things of daily life.
Thank you Shayla ❤️
Thank you for reminding that there is beauty in 'Simplicity' n living in 'Now' ♡
Thanks for watching ❤️
I absolutely agree with enjoying the mundane things in life. There is magick in the mundane.
There's so much to love in this video.
I withdraw from the hustle and bustle of modern life and find solace in my simple life on a daily basis.
❤️

hello ,
I was to busy working most of my life & not really taking time to enjoy things , till I got very sick not that long ago , I nearly kicked the bucket , so now look at things so differently,
same it took a near death experience for me to realize that . 🙂🙏
That's how you live your life. 🥰 And what life _is_ like when our _precious_ Father✝️👑🕊 is in it. 💖
Yes! So sad when people don't realize this.
I love that you say staying home with your kids are special occasions. I think that is a really sweet way of viewing it ♥️
Smooth jazz for the win! I almost always have it playing softly. It’s so calming for the kids.
I love jazz, especially at Christmas ❤️
This video was perfect for me this morning as for the past few days, I've been waking up feeling super anxious and this video has helped me to calm down and slow down. I love the idea of eating breakfast by the candlelight! I'll definitely try it. Thank you Madisun 🥰💗
Thank you for watching ❤️
Finding transcendence in the average, everyday, normal is so beautiful. Thank you! 😋
Thank you Canon ❤️
This is beautiful!! This is has been the first romanticizing life video I’ve seen where someone actually has kids! I love this! Thank you!❤
This was beautiful 😢❤🎉 thank you as an Autism Mom I needed this
I’m so glad ❤️
I have recently started to appreciate the mundane and the everyday. I couldn’t be happier to live in the moment
❤️
❤❤❤ when my children were younger we lived in a log home in the country and I made bread weekly. We picked berries from our bushes and apples from our tree. We later in the hammocks on the porch and took naps in the sunlight after lunch. I’m so grateful for that time with them and for the presence that we shared. Now that only 2 are home with me, I make sure to give them my full attention even as I make items for my business. Life Is Sweet, always ❤
This is my first time watching you and this video made me cry, and my heart open. I must do this for myself, my joy, my life. Thank you ❤ so so much
This is so sweet. Thank you for watching ❤️
...and your comment almost makes me cry @DeNish 💟
This was THEE biggest truth so many of us women needed to hear.
I’m so glad. It’s why I make these videos ❤️
❤️❤️
Hey Madisun, i just wanted to thank you so much for your wonderful work! Your channel has been so motivating and inspiring for me during my own minimalism and slow living journey.
Keep up the good work and keep sharing your wisdom. Love from Germany, Melina 😊😊

You’re blessed. Not everyone is allowed this kind of life. I wanted this for my children, but life is more than hard as a single, working mother. I feel they lost out on so much. Omg! Yes! Moms don’t have time to do a crazy self care situation!!

That blanket looks so comfy! That's so cool that your kids got to see you make it from scratch and then enjoy the finished product. :)
It was so fun ❤️
@@MadisunGray what yarn did you use? Wool? The color is gorgeous.

Hi Madisun, thank you so much for the beautiful content. I'm a homeschooling mum of 2. Your videos give me a boost of energy.
I’m so glad ❤️
Yes to everything in this video 🥹 Having this awareness drastically increases your quality of and contentment in life. I am all for slow and meaningful living!

This isn’t boring. This is healthy and if everyone had this, I’m sure mental health issues would be on a decline.

I’m so glad you resonated with this Cassie ❤️
i love your videos and what you are made of. you talk so simply and comfortably but it resonates so much and transmits comfort. i feel you are so intelligent and feminine and i love it.
I like to think like you, adding meaning to the everyday little things, to the everyday stuff you have to do, make a therapy out of it. I love that way of thinking 🙂🙂🙂 thanks for letting me know I'm not the only one

This is really beautiful. This video was chalk full of self-care ideas and ways of thinking. Sometimes I find these videos that don't have a list land better for me in terms of taking in the info and having it resonate.
Thanks for making! I really resonate with the beauty of a slow life and the gratitude!
Thanks Lauren I’m so glad you resonate with them ❤️
