I would love for you to make a video on your hypothyroidism I remember you mentioned it in another video but then in this one you talk about hair loss and all that. I have Hashimotos and would love to hear how you helped heal that.
I would love to see a comparison video of what your life was like before you changed to minimalism? I think it would be neat to see the contrast, and show others how much the changes have impacted your life.
It annoys me so much. I’m a lesbian so I will never be interested in men like that, but I do love men and everything they bring to this world. It’s ridiculous how much hate men are getting nowadays.
For the ‘make the bed morning’ topic…I make mine by noon or so. I love waking up and pulling the bedding to the foot of the bed and letting the sheets and blankets breathe. Healthier for the bedding and I open a window or atleast open the blinds so sun shines on the sheets. Airing out the bed after sleeping in it gives me peace for bedtime when I hop back in for the night.
Air it out for sure! I always found it gross to make up a sweaty bed and trap all that in there....sometimes I don't even make the bed but I love the first night of the week of fresh clean sheets.
I lived in Kenya for a time and they dont make their beds...they turn them down for the day..opening them like this so the bed can breathe and air out. It gets fresh air and is ready for the next night 😊
When I was fairly young I used to complain about my husband to my friend group. One day it struck me how messed up that was and I started bragging about him and praising him instead. I swear it completely changed my marriage. Because it changed the way I talked and thought about him. We’ll celebrate our 30th anniversary this year and I still brag about him. I absolutely believe that change is one big reason why I adore him so much. ❤
1. Be out of the loop regarding cultural events. 2. Go to bed early. 3. Keep clean toilets and bathroom sink area. 4. Quit alcohol or anything that doesn’t serve you. 5. Don’t speak negatively about men. 6. Don’t have TV/ streaming noise on. Choose peace, solitude, quiet, stillness. 7. Don’t buy stuff just because it’s on sale. 8. Spend time in nature. Our bodies need light and fresh air. 9. Consider not working for someone else. 10. Quit putting myself down.
This list was full of such unexpected, genuine things. I'm not really a religious person, but what you said about noise and us not being able to hear god even if he was speaking to us really resonated. Thank you!
Yes! I have no silence on purpose because if I don't I go back to sad memories and I just get sad or cry. I always have podcasts in while gardening and even taking showers! I think it would be healthier to spend time in silence and work through it. But will i? I was just thinking how I don't have time to do it and BAM your next topic was how we have more time than we think.
I have to tell you. Today is the first day that I saw your channel. I resonated with so much that you are talking about. All the way down to the adrenal fatigue and crazy sleep patterns. But here is the wild thing. I'm 63 years old. Clearly these are all patterns and obstacles that women of all ages are experiencing. You're doing a wonderful job! God bless your ministry, your channel and all those you reach. Keep going. You are needed.
Outside time is soooo important for the teen years too. It restores everything when my son is outside skiing, backpacking, camping, hiking. He comes home so refreshed and clear minded.
I don't play music while driving, I try not to have anything on when cooking, I keep the TV quiet if I'm watching it, it's been a huge and amazing change in my life!
I do the same. I spend my whole day talking and listening . I now find it peaceful to drive in silence. It’s like a detox of auditory stimulation for me lol
For anyone trying to quit self-deprecating humor, try using self-aggrandizing humor instead. Things like “I am the epitome of grace and elegance” after you’ve just dropped something or tripped. I find it makes me feel less awkward/embarrassed after doing something dumb, and people actually laugh!
I admire your honesty and desire to “clean up” your communication. I’ve being checking myself on what a blurt out and am stopping this habit that serves no purpose to anyone. It’s more peaceful to be quiet. 🐇
The internet is so full of noise that it’s really lost any form of merit for me. But this. Madi, this list is so good. Simple things like more sleep and less noise can do wonders - we don’t need anything more to have ultimate health and happiness. We need less. And this list is full of fresh ideas I’m sure some have never considered before. Love love love.
Thank you for this list. Love it. I quit feeling the need to have an opinion or a strong opinion about something many things. I don’t even chime in on every conversation going on via text or in person. Silence can be golden. It feels good to only “ major on the major” and be more easy flowing on other things. I feel free, have met new people, and been involved in so many new experiences.
Sleep. A detailed video on your new sleep habits, how you achieved that, practicalities, what you gave up or prioritized to make it work, the mindset, etc, that would be… so so helpful. Please.
Yes speaking poorly about men out of frautration is a toxic trait of mine, same as oversharing my marriage problems with family, or spekaing around my children. Is something im working on keeping these topics to myself out of respect to my marriage and children. Great great points.
Can you PLEASE make a video on how to take care of little ones, have a business, do the household,... all while prioritizing good sleep? (AND also healing one's cycle/hormones.) Maybe a daily/weekly routines vlog. Thank you so much. Your content is healing in so many ways.🙏💛
Thanks for sharing! I've done some of these changes in my life - I'm 72. I love hymns sometimes instrumental; sometimes Lauren Daigle or other Christian artists so my house is filled with praise for Abba, but I've learned to listen to the silence/peace during my tea time with Him. I don't listen to the news/politics either - it stresses me out not because I want to stick my head in the sand, but because I don't know if they are telling the truth. We enjoy playing pickleball or going for a snowshoe walk to get exercise, sunshine and fresh air. God bless you and yours. Enjoyed your chat.
I quit almost all of these things too. I wish I could not work for anyone else, but as a RN, I can’t figure out how to do that. Hopefully I can simply retire soon. I’m 51 and had to be a single mom since my sons were 8 and 13. They are grown now, 21 and 26, but it took all my time to work and pay for us to live. No child support, terrible ex husband. Consequently I’ve remained single and will for the rest of my life. Recently, I essentially decided to turn off the world and the quality of my life has improved greatly. I’ve had way more time with the Lord and reading and studying my Bible. I turn on thunderstorm videos and waves at the beach sound videos. I have tinnitus and those sounds relax me to help me sleep and that’s all that is ever on my TV. So much so that my 3 year old grandson likes it and told my daughter in law he wants to watch “grandma TV” to sleep at night 😂. Madisun, you are very blessed to have learned the wisdom of life the way you are living it at such a young age.
@@kimgordon3695I have some younger friends who went back to school to be NP’s for the flexibility, but I’m just a regular registered nurse and not willing to go back to school for anymore training. Honestly, I’m looking at quitting healthcare altogether and just getting a job somewhere I might actually enjoy working. I’m tired of the insanity 😅❤
You know what is so great about your video's? They always make me feel good about myself. You just have a way about you that inspires people and makes people feel like they are doing exactly what they're suppost to be doing. For me everything you mention are things that have been on my mind too, and I think many people can relate 😊
This is a good list because you are being so humble about your life. I mean, there is nothing wrong on improving on the skills you have to become as good as possible in doing those things. That motivates me to keep doing well. It should not take over your life or drain you though. I go to bed at 9 and wake at 5 or 5:30 (which has been normal for me since I was seven). Wow. I love cleaning my toilet and do it often. I was called to clean and unclog toilets in high school at summer camp because people didn't want to and I didn't mind to and like cleaning toilets. I can't imagine not flushing. It is a habit I've had since I was potty trained. I have never had alcohol. never. Not any type. I'm 40. I don't see the lure in it when there is so much destruction surrounding it. I loved what you said about quiet in solitude. The story about the rug you told made me feel itchy! It is so cool you are outside so often now (other than on a run). What a beautiful story! Thanks so much for sharing all of this to me. So sorry to hear about the debt you had to pay when you didn't even finish what the debt was for. That sounds really rough. I am sure that taught you so many lessons in that. I never went to college and tell my children that if they really really want to go, I want them to fully know what they want to go for, otherwise I tell them to get a good job and work up in it (doing their best at whatever they do). My oldest will be a senior in high school this September. I would love to learn more about this whole foods and hormone situation. You asked what to dive deeper on in future videos. . .that. I am so interested in learning what you learned in that way! Thanks for another great video.
Agreed...just started this journey of not dieting..harder than I thought. I have made it such a part of my life and trying to quit. Its like a comfort at this point 😢
Also, I would love to hear more about how you balance plenty of outside time with still getting things done inside, cooking meals, etc that need to be done. We homeschool and I often want to be outside when my kids are out but I also feel a pull to get a meal started, finish the laundry, and on and on.
I have often felt guilty for being so out of the loop culturally, politically now that I have kids. But recently I’ve been feeling like it’s something I should be doing deliberately right now anyway to protect my own mental health and my ability to be in tune with my own family and loved ones during this season. Your explanation of being “out of touch” culturally but completely tuned into your family and community perfectly put words to where I’m at and what I’ve been feeling.
I love how you are self aware and that you noticed how you were talking negatively about men at times. I am guilty of that too and it never really occurred to me the possible reasons I was doing it. Thank you for highlighting this, I think it’s a really important thing for both sexes to stop doing ❤
Oooo, I really resonate with you and your slow living, mindful living videos! I appreciate how authentic you are. I’m learning to slow down myself just recently over the last few months and while it’s been rewarding and eye opening, it has been challenging. It’s nice to hear how others are learning to slow down and create healthier habits. 😊
Yes please…a whole video about resources you use to learn about healthy, slow eating . What you do and what it looks like in your life and tips and how to eat for healthy hormones.
Yes! I appreciate people who stay on top of politics and news, but it isn't my jam...and I've stopped feeling bad about it. I focus on doing my part for humanity in other ways that don't make me feel so bad. Like I love donating to charities helping bring relief to people who are struggling so I feel more like I'm solving problems in that way, which is more positive and interesting to me. Thanks for sharing your experiences with less! I so appreciate it!
@@Julie-hk2qs ohh, actually, my brother and/or husband (who both stay informed) read an article about it and told me! Man, I don't know if I could even find it, but the jist was for people who stay informed to not be upset with people who don't because part of the point of our freedom and the way our country is set up is so that people can live perfectly nice lives without keeping up with it all. 🤷♀️ Maybe that helps? We need both, but I'm not good at staying informed. So I try to focus on contributing to society in ways I am good at. 😅 And those are probably different from ways that informed people contribute.
Just happened upon your vid and really enjoyed it. You have a lot of wisdom for one so young. I am also into slow living. Sleeping for me, since retiring, usually means a regular bedtime of 3-4am, and wake time of noon. Obviously I don't have kids! (Before anyone jumps on me for this--it's 7-8 hours a night.) Being your own boss is great too, and I love the seasons of life when I've been able to do that, including now. Thanks for mentioning speaking negatively about men--there is so much of that now. In fact, we could extend it to speaking negatively about others--gossip, which is at epidemic level. I also gave up watching news on a regular basis. It has become entertainment for people the way it is presented these days--verbal click bait, and just puts more stress on you. If anything real important happens, I guarantee someone will tell me about it.
I recently just quit strategy games. My brain just does not work that way, they are not fun to me, and they make me feel stupid. I just don't need that in my life! As well, feeling pressured to dress like an adulty adult and feeling like I needed to have long hair to be feminine, I quit. Much love for this video, thanks Madi!
You are a beautiful soul and I enjoyed listening to you. I learned many years ago most of the things you addressed and now life is meaningful and absolutely peaceful
I relate to the way you feel about alcohol and with cannabis. As I got older and had kids I didn’t like the ick feelings from drinking so I basically stopped except the super rare occasion of a spiked homemade eggnog seasonally lol . A lot of people seemed weirded out by this. I grew up in a legal marijuana state and I used it occasionally until my kid 20s when it started effecting me in an uncomfortable way. Friends have made me feel SO BAD about this! Suggesting I try different kinds, etc and trying to sell it. I’m happy to skip it ❤
Want to know about how you beat adrenal fatigue and also how that fatigue showed itself in your life/health. I'm looking into this because I'm experiencing chronic fatigue even with a lot of sleep.
I would love more pregnancy related topics . Topics like minimalist pregnancy essentials (clothes , body care etc ) also how to prepare for post partum , not get caught up with just creating the perfect registry . Homebirth tips etc
I am not pregnant and am way past childbearing years, but I love Madi's approach to all this that I would love for her to reach so many more women out there. I just think the world would be so much better with this approach to child rearing. So, I too would love more of these videos.
This was a great video, thank you! Would love to hear more about doing things for yourself during the day. The idea that we have to wait for the kids to go to bed to get anything done is an alluring trap and doesn't make me feel good. Thanks again!
Years ago a friend of mine said something that stuck with me. ‘I want my toilet to be so clean that I could lick it.’ Agree with all of your points. Going to sleep around 8-9 every night has helped me sooo much with chronic fatigue and chronic pain too. Would love more videos on how to feel less anxious and like you have time to yourself with two kiddos AND going to bed early. Still struggling with that aspect of going to sleep early. But maybe part of that is because I still need to declutter more and due to chronic pain 🤷♀️
Just followed your Amazon Shoppe and emailed for the complimentary guide to minimizing from your website !!! I hope to check out the wholehearted info asap ❤TY for being vigilant in this journey helping to bring women back where the heart is
Girl you hit the nail on the head about spending quiet time alone and hearing from the Lord .some people actually envy my relationship with the Lord and how quickly he answers my he also speaks to me and tells me things but it's because I haven't watched television in 12 years and for the last 5 years I've been an empty nester and a widow and been alone and boy let me t 15:46 ell you how my relationship with the Lord has went whole next level ❤
Love this! I will say that when my kids were small I stayed home and homeschooled them as well. They decided for themselves when they got older they wanted to go to school with other kids, so we placed them in a private Christian school. They have been THRIVING in incredible ways I never imagined. They are 15 and 17 now. But because they are gone during the day I decided I would go back to work but only in a position that wouldn't soul suck me dry and that felt fulfilling to me. So I started working at my church's daycare and it's the best job I've ever had. I take care of one year olds and fell in love with those babies like their mine. It's so rewarding and healing to me after my recent miscarriage last year and I feel God really used this for soul nourishment. I have a pr degree that is useless and I don't use but instead have found so much more in a less fancy title than executive director. Now as my kids are thinking of the future I've told them to only go to college if actually needed. Otherwise I wouldn't do it at all. Maybe more of a trade school would be better if anything. My son wants to be a farmer, so he'll just be taking some agriculture and business classes.
I would love to know more about the giving up/ how to give up dieting. And also the not talking negatively about men (or humans as a whole). I also would LOVE to hear more about homeschooling. I have a 3 year old and 1 year old that I will be "unschooling" would love to see the flow of your days. This was really great! I always appreciate your perspective ❤
Didn’t read it bad at all ;) I have a 2yo girl and hopefully another soon that we will also unschool…feeling overwhelmed by the idea but deeply peaceful that it’s right for us!!!
Super duper love this video! ❤ Thank you! I had to pause more than once to let your wisdom settle into my brain. I’d love a video on letting go of food fears, dieting etc. Thinking about how quiet our ancestors lives were is so fascinating!
I’d love to hear how you approach exercise from a minimalist and slow living perspective. I often struggle with an all or nothing mindset when it comes to exercise, or slower forms of exercise not feeling like “enough”.
As a noise sensitive neurodivergent mother I totally agree with minimising noise. My earplugs (of the Loop brand) help me interact with my family, but they make everything a bit softer. When my son has media time, he watches/listens with headphones on. We don’t play background music. It helps me so much and I’m not triggered as much. x
Again, another video full of topics that are universal and deeper than "I quit going to the salon, using tp, driving". Thank you. I have been called to study the book of James and got hit hard with the first two chapters. Realizing I am prejudiced against unhealthy/lazy people/trashy-and-proud culture. Humbling to see myself be just as big a bigot as most others. Thank you for sharing your own realizations, most wouldn't be so forthcoming on their shortcomings. I recently in the last two weeks turned off the tv after deep dive researching the cons off too much screens and kids. As much as I "low key" complain about how overwhelmed I am by the repetitive noise of having 4 girls you'd think this would be easy. It's NOT!! I can't escape, distract, or numb myself from the chaos of motherhood with a good dose of screentime. Which leads me to my question for future topics. Minimalism, slow-living, homeschooling, whole foods made from the heart are all amazing aspects of life to embrace, but kids ARE NOT quiet, clean, agreeable souls. THERE ARE DAYS, WEEKS where being a mama, especially a homeschooling mama, is the hardest gig. Nothing gets accomplished, or it gets accomplished in irregular bits. How do you balance slow living with productivity, routines or structure that kids need to thrive, and accomplishing things so life doesn't feel its on a repeating loop of hurry and struggle?
Thank you for mentioning the noise. I have severe misophonia and noise drives me nuts. I am soo concious about the noise I make, we shovel our driveway, rake our leaves, I use a whisk no electric mixer. I wish people would think of that stuff.
I go to bed about 8, and wake up at 4:30. I have been doing this for about 5 years I think, but those morning hours to myself make my day so much better. I even tried recently to sleep later, and it was a really rough day it was so stressful and out of wack.
I'm getting very curious about our femininity, really embracing it for the first time and how this plays such an important role in our marriages. You've been the first person I've ever really heard mention this. Also.... Sleep! I know all the things but still can't figure out how to seriously just shut it all down and go to bed. It's so, so hard to make that choice of an earlier bedtime when you want to just BE, without anyone around you (kiddos:)
I was laughing at the toilet one. I do that too! I think it comes from living in SoCal during drought years and I always felt guilty flushing all that water. I live in much wetter place now so I really have no excuse not to flush 😂. I also hate cleaning the bathroom but I agree that it always is so much nicer when it is clean.
Since noise pollution is such an issue it would be interesting for someone to do a research video on what are the quietest home appliances. Like I don’t know that we could fully remove all the noise pollution in our homes unless we got rid of our appliances but I’d be curious to hear which fridges are quiet and air purifiers and washers etc. How can we steward a quiet home.
Madisun, where were you 40 years ago when so much of what you talk about was more relevant to me? 😂I absolutely love your approach to life and think you have so much to offer. And yes, I still can apply much of what you teach. I was being silly there. 😊 Thank you!
I would love to hear more about what you mentioned regarding women finding their hidden passions when the let go of the hurry culture and some of the practical how-to's. You might have already addressed this in a past video, but I think it would really help me at least to know how to let go of rushing and hurrying when you really do have quite a lot on your plate. Or perhaps along with that what things we should let go of in order to give ourselves more time when everything seems to be essential and top priority. Was it uncomfortable for you to start letting go of this type of busyness?(like how you mentioned silence used to be uncomfortable) What did those first steps look like for you? What would it look like for someone who is not married and thus doesn't have the option of staying home and taking care of the kids? Again, if you already have a video on this feel free to just link it in a comment! Thank you for all of the amazing content, it really inspires me ☺
OMW 2:40 I'm sitting here at my sewing machine and it's 2am bcoz I believe this is the only time I have to do my own stuff. I'm sewing a t-shirt for my husband and I'm 13wks pregnant. I should be resting but I feel like I need permission in order to rest.
This was such a good video! I would love it if you could do some more videos about what you eat and how you changed your relationship with food. Some recipes or what we eat in a day or week videos would be cool too! Thanks Kate
Not speaking negatively about men, embarrassingly enough, resonates with me soooo much🥺 I know it’s put up walls in our marriage and even our two boys. Also would loveeeee further conversations on this
I’ve been trying to get used to sitting in quiet. It’s uncomfortable at first. One change I made in addition to shutting of background tv or background music is making my phone entirely silent. It’s not on silent mode but you can choose to have your texts delivered silently and turn off your notifications and sound affects. It was weird at first but I think that’s helped too.
I would love to go to bed at that hour but strangely enough it’s difficult when you have young adults/teens in the house. I could go to bed at 8:30 but my 16 and 17 year old will inevitably start making a racket a couple hours later. They are great kids so it’s not that they’re being rude but their internal sleep clock is different than mine. Which is natural but maddening at times 😂 love your vids!
Thanks! I’m going to listen to the book “In the Flo” as I want to keep making progress in this area to eat according to my cycle. I’d like to learn more about this
I used to stay up until 1 or 2am, and could barely function. Now I go to bed around 9 and get up early, and it’s life changing! I prefer waking up when the day is new, than having to deal with the day that’s done.
Hi Madisun! Please, please, please make a video on sleep, early to bed and early to rise. It is so very hard for a lot of moms to make the change to get in bed early and actually go to sleep at a decent time. Encouragement is needed here. Thank you!
Growing up, I would do everything my older brother would do. If he stopped eating meat, I would too. He started meditating.....I couldn't wait to lay in my floor and meditate too. I know I'm way older than most of you, but I like watching these videos because it makes me feel like I have a younger big sister. I listen to how you are living, and I so desperately want to weave that into my life too(even tho it rarely works out that way). Thank you for all the helpful information. ❤❤❤
Omg. The no alcohol thing hits hard. Alcohol and coffee, I can’t stand the taste, and it is weird that people will try to make others feel less than or “childish” for not liking alcohol or coffee.
The toilet flushing/cleaning thing is so interesting to me. I need to know more. Lol, I grew up in Southern CA during major droughts so saving water was ingrained in me. Recently it just started to make me feel really yucky to have urine and tp sitting in the toilet so I changed that habit and started cleaning my toilet several times a week. Hopefully it will positively affect my income! 😉
I got upset some trees and a watershed were being destroyed by a local government.... and so now I'm running. Sometimes you do have to step up unfortunately, or nobody will and the trees get destroyed :( Not forever though, hoping to give 4 years of time and then return to slow living knowing I tried to make a change for the good :)
I love all of your content. I would especially love hearing about how you are taking care of yourself during pregnancy and preparation for new baby as well as homeschooling.
Madisun❤, I was listening to one of your other videos this morning because whenever I’m down, your videos encourage me! Love your channel thank you for what you do❤
First of all - I am in deep debt to you for your reading lists both from Wholehearted and this channel and mostly for John Elderidge - secondly I am always amazed to find others (especially younger than me) who go to bed early and rise early - thank you for each of these points which match my life points as well - and yes please research sleep and rest for us
I’d love to hear more about how you got comfortable with quiet. I work from home and feel like I need background noise all the time. I’m trying to break this. 😊
Num 👏🏼 ber 👏🏼 five 👏🏼 So good. Yes, there are bad men. But there are bad women too. This overall cultural hatred toward men, especially fathers, is so sad. It breaks my heart. Pay attention to commercials, movies, tv shows. It’s portrayed and celebrated everywhere. Let’s lift each other up. Women to men, men to women, men to men, women to women. We are all valuable!
I loved all of these so much! Thank you!! I also talk about slow living online but have had trouble figuring out how to make a "business" out of it. I'd love to hear more about how you began working for yourself and making meaningful income for your family. It's definitely a dream of mine as I'm currently doing a bunch of little jobs to make it all work, and I'm so tired of working for other people. Thank you for making this video, it was great!
it’s easy to go to bed when you have small children early like 8:30 or nine .I would love to be in bed at this time because I get up at 5:30 so that would be best amount of sleep. However, for me it’s not wanting me time, but it’s hanging out with, my teenager. If I go to sleep early I miss a lot of time with my teen. the natural cycles for teenagers is to stay up late it’s just how their bodies work and putting my younger daughter to bed and getting to go sit on the couch and hang out with my son and listen to him play music or talk about life its really when we connect and I guess just different phases of life change our priorities and or what’s even possible.
truly spot on. These are so convicting and thoughts I’ve had for a while but family members/friends thought were weird or boring of me to do. It’s just validating to hear someone else also making these simple yet major changes. Plus I firmly believe these help me personally feel more grounded and connected to God and his purpose for me. ❤
Thank you for this video Madisun! It really resonated with me. It would be great if you could make a video on sleeping habits, I'm currently stuck in a very similar cycle as the one you described. It would really help if you could give us some tips on how to achieve better sleeping habits. Thank you!
I'm with ya on the toilet one. On the other side of the wall of our toilet is the toddler bed and flushing has been loud enough to wake her if she is sleeping. But the set up in the nursery is best as it is, since she shares with her brother. So my husband and I have gotten in a bad habit of not flushing just in case the baby is sleeping! (She's two and a half now.) Gotta figure something out because I'm tired of the toilet being stained!
Just found you in my feed today. Loved everything about this video. Subscribe and looking forward to implementing a number of these habits in my next new chapter in my life!
What topic do you want me to dive deeper on in a future video?
Hi Madisun, any advice on how mama's who are working to create routine and simplify our lives but can't quit our jobs in our current season?
I would love for you to make a video on your hypothyroidism I remember you mentioned it in another video but then in this one you talk about hair loss and all that. I have Hashimotos and would love to hear how you helped heal that.
@@Gabrielle.Steele sure! i would definitely pick up In the Flo, that book really is a great starting place!
I would love to see a comparison video of what your life was like before you changed to minimalism? I think it would be neat to see the contrast, and show others how much the changes have impacted your life.
Maybe it's just me, but I would looove to hear more practical tips on how to read the bible/ do your devotions as a mother. Thanks ❤
Not speaking negatively about men is really striking a chord with me especially as a mom of 2 boys. Would love some extended talks on that.
definitley hit me hard as a mom of a boy.
It annoys me so much. I’m a lesbian so I will never be interested in men like that, but I do love men and everything they bring to this world. It’s ridiculous how much hate men are getting nowadays.
This is a topic I would like to hear more of!! I've got some work to do on it haha
We tend to make ourselves more miserable by shit talking men
Yes! So guilty of this too and I have 3 sons😢😢😢 so convicted!
Okay I am adopting this habit! Thank you!
Yesssss! So sick of hearing this 'habit' again and again 😡
I used to do that and should start doing it again! Thanks for the reminder!
It shocks me how many women complain about their husbands social media. So sad.
I need to do this, too.
Thank you
Thanks!!
This list was full of such unexpected, genuine things. I'm not really a religious person, but what you said about noise and us not being able to hear god even if he was speaking to us really resonated. Thank you!
thanks Stacy!
Yes and Amen!
I’ve been wanting to do this but so hard to stick to it and sit in silence
Interesting! I am going to try this!
This is such good advice. I’m doing it! 😃👏🏼👏🏼
I deactivated my Facebook today! It feels great not knowing everything that's going on.
YES!
I haven’t deactivated mine yet but I haven’t posted in 6 days
I deleted mine 6 weeks ago and have changed so much!
I didn’t deactivate mine but I deleted the app off my phone. Wish me luck. I’m so tired of all the noise.
Delete it. Seriously. Download what you want to keep and then go! It's sooooo liberating ❤
Please.
Yes please.
The amount of value you provided in 20 minutes is mind blowing. Thank you 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

There is a growing community of online Nurse Practitioner's. They work remotely & also do house calls. ❤😊
Following. I’m a nurse too. 💗
Please please do a video about how you quit dieting. I am so sick of it consuming my life. As always I so enjoy your videos. Thanks for being you ❤
Agreed...just started this journey of not dieting..harder than I thought.
Even a 20 minute walk is so beneficial & I find I’m more productive once I get home xx
YES 🙌🏽
I love how you are self aware and that you noticed how you were talking negatively about men at times. I am guilty of that too and it never really occurred to me the possible reasons I was doing it. Thank you for highlighting this, I think it’s a really important thing for both sexes to stop doing ❤
absolutely! thank you. so kind
I can feel your authenticity. You speak to my heart. You are an old soul. I wish i could do all these wise things years before i get burned out ❤❤
Yes please…a whole video about resources you use to learn about healthy, slow eating .
I totall agree
It took me until I was 62 (now lol) to stop feeling bad for not keeping up with or caring about current events. It's so freeing! Good for you too!
I'm still trying to figure out how not to feel bad about it. Any tips?
(Before anyone jumps on me for this--it's 7-8 hours a night.)
Being your own boss is great too, and I love the seasons of life when I've been able to do that, including now.
Agree, years ago I stopped watching the news, I don't miss the negativity or the noise!
This sounds so fun, I will definitely do this! :)
Yes or surviving first trimester exhaustion and nausea and staying motivated to continue decluttering and living slowly
I am not pregnant and am way past childbearing years, but I love Madi's approach to all this that I would love for her to reach so many more women out there. I just think the world would be so much better with this approach to child rearing. So, I too would love more of these videos.
Hitting home for me, taking notes, and YES please talk about every single one. Bless you ;-)
This was a great video, thank you! Would love to hear more about doing things for yourself during the day. The idea that we have to wait for the kids to go to bed to get anything done is an alluring trap and doesn't make me feel good. Thanks again!
Years ago a friend of mine said something that stuck with me. ‘I want my toilet to be so clean that I could lick it.’
Agree with all of your points.
I hope to check out the wholehearted info asap ❤TY for being vigilant in this journey helping to bring women back where the heart is
Girl you hit the nail on the head about spending quiet time alone and hearing from the Lord .some people actually envy my relationship with the Lord and how quickly he answers my he also speaks to me and tells me things but it's because I haven't watched television in 12 years and for the last 5 years I've been an empty nester and a widow and been alone and boy let me t 15:46 ell you how my relationship with the Lord has went whole next level ❤
thank you for this
After further introspection this comment sounded like I speak ill of people nonstop.... to clarify stopping underhanded comments 😂
Didn’t read it bad at all ;) I have a 2yo girl and hopefully another soon that we will also unschool…feeling overwhelmed by the idea but deeply peaceful that it’s right for us!!!
@@douxhealth-beauty3196 same!!
my dieting story could be a good podcast episode. and I have a homeschooling video planned, so stay tuned!
This is the best. Your articulation of your insight is so authentic and intelligent. Thank you.
Super duper love this video! ❤ Thank you! I had to pause more than once to let your wisdom settle into my brain.
I’d love a video on letting go of food fears, dieting etc.
Thinking about how quiet our ancestors lives were is so fascinating!
so sweet thank you for watching!
Thank you for these! I agree and love how God has blessed you with discernment to be aware and the generosity to share the wisdom! ❤
aww thank you 😘
I’d love to hear how you approach exercise from a minimalist and slow living perspective.
Yes, please, instruction on getting to bed so early while still getting things done. Thank you!
I go to bed about 8, and wake up at 4:30. I have been doing this for about 5 years I think, but those morning hours to myself make my day so much better. I even tried recently to sleep later, and it was a really rough day it was so stressful and out of wack.
You are so brilliant! I love what you share and the way in which you share it. You shine brightly my friend. ✨ sending you lots of love from Sweden ❤️
I was going to ask her if she was raised on CA! I am born and raised in the SF Bay Area and always in a drought😅
I laughed out loud when you said “I get very offended when he doesn’t laugh at my jokes” lol same! This was soooo helpful! Thank you as always!
I really appreciate your mission and what you’re sharing! Thanks for the encouragement and words of wisdom.
Maddie you are a tremendous blessing more than you’ll ever know, never forget that!!!
So true about the noise! When I embraced silence I realized God is Eager to speak to us, but He isn't rude. He won't speak over us
I love your perspective. Thank you so much for making these videos and sharing this amount of value with the world. It means a lot ❤ less is more!!
This was such a good video! I would love it if you could do some more videos about what you eat and how you changed your relationship with food. Some recipes or what we eat in a day or week videos would be cool too! Thanks Kate
I definitely think expanding on diet culture and being more intuitive with lots of things in life could be a great video!
I’d like to learn more about this
🙌🏽
I used to stay up until 1 or 2am, and could barely function. Now I go to bed around 9 and get up early, and it’s life changing! I prefer waking up when the day is new, than having to deal with the day that’s done.
Yes, to pretty much all of these! I already apply a bunch of these. I love not being in the loopt. It gives me so much more peace of mind.
#5 was SPOT ON!! You don't hear much about on YT addressing this problem. 👏🏼 good job on the whole video!
Such a great video! Would love to hear more about recovering from adrenal fatigue ❤
Could you please do a video on recipes you use. Your food always looks so yummy. Thank you for all the great advice you give, it is always a blessing.
New subscriber here! This list is powerful ... I really appreciate your valuable insights.
Beautiful video, thank you for sharing your growth with us
I love all of your content. I would especially love hearing about how you are taking care of yourself during pregnancy and preparation for new baby as well as homeschooling.
Girl same. I am so out of the loop I told my co worker to let me know if some catastrophe is happening because I am not online like that.
Madisun❤, I was listening to one of your other videos this morning because whenever I’m down, your videos encourage me! Love your channel thank you for what you do❤
this is so sweet. thank you!
First of all - I am in deep debt to you for your reading lists both from Wholehearted and this channel and mostly for John Elderidge - secondly I am always amazed to find others (especially younger than me) who go to bed early and rise early - thank you for each of these points which match my life points as well - and yes please research sleep and rest for us
What reading lists?
Loved your whole list. My favorite was the leveling up by not talking negatively about men. 👍🏻
Love this Madisun!! Thank you for always encouraging 🤗
It’s life changing!
Love this ❤️
Thank you for this video Madisun!
Agree with all of these! Great list! I don’t do a lot of these things, and fully agree with you.
God speaks to us. We just need to stop and listen.
YES 🙏
