Wow, I think this is the first police officer that I've seen who OFFERS the information that it's perfectly legal to film public officials without their consent. 1st amendment. That's a sure sign that he's a good officer who has nothing to hide, and he knows the laws.

This is my first Becca video and I am having flashbacks to my childhood in Connecticut. From the bundling up in 5 layers to not freeze to poking spud holes. I was poor so never owned a auger or electronics or even a vehicle. Oh and we had Karen and Bruce in the 70’s and 80’s too. I subbed you and look forward to more.
Ice fishing and deer hunting makes the winter fly by. We moved to Florida a decade ago and I miss fishing on the ice a lot. I still use my ice fishing jigs in Florida for bluegills and such. I always waited for 4 inches of ice to fish up in Pennsylvania. Be Safe and Have Fun !!!!!
This reminded me of the time I was ice fishing in a city lake and the whole fire department showed up even though there was 1.5’ 2’ of ice. A fire engine and they had a megaphone telling us to walk back on the path we took out there. That ruined ice fishing on that lake forever. There were “unsafe ice” signs on the shore that we didn’t see. Absolute waste of time and tax payer dollars. I think you could have had everyone in the city standing shoulder to shoulder and it would have held up. I don’t remember being fined or anything I was pretty young. I would have to ask my dad.

When I was in the Army in the mountains of Germany on exercises, the German Army taught me to wear nylon pantyhose as your first layer. It wicks water (sweat) away from your skin and creates a micro air barrier against your skin. You will stay very warm. Try it, it works, I was skeptical at first. They made a believer out of me. Great Video!

In our fishing reg books in Canada it shows safe ice depth for different vehicles ect. My book is on me at all times.I am more then happy to refer anyone to the before mentioned section when people try to “educate” me. Even if they think they may be helping me.

My dad was an officer and he loved his job! The only thing was he had to respond to a bruce that was complaining about kids fishing on a public pond that was “his pond” so my dad says if they are not doing drugs, commiting vandalism, or underage drinkin than whats your problem? Its public leave em alone.

We have a couple private ponds in our community and some of the old folks with nothing better to do love to harass people off the water. I got into it with one resident who tried to chase off some teenagers. I told him of all things 5 teens could be doing, how can you find fault with them fishing - and they were all polite!

My dad had always taken me and my brother fishing, hunting, trapping when we were growing up. We would go ice fishing but the most sophisticated equipment we had was a bobber on the line! My dad just turned 89, still fishes, but only from his boat, & my mom loves to fish too! Dad no longer ice fishes, had to give it up about 10 yrs ago due to hip replacement and he no longer feels confident walking on ice.

Love ice fishing. We are on solid 6-8 in Central NY. Taking my 6 year son out again tomorrow. He's been hooked since the first time last year.
Western South Dakota here, been fishing 12-15 inchs for a month and getting deeper. SUCKS with a hand auger.
Just picked up a powered one yesterday and gonna try it out this afternoon with my 12 year old son. Good luck to you and your boy......tight lines!

i used to work in minus 35 and had gear that was made for it i never got cold until i was sweating a lot i only had a tee shirt on and jeans it was bloody good gear and i used it for fishing as well

Gotta get some plywood to walk on. Two pieces, one to walk on the other to put in front of you. Full sized like 8×10 or whatever full sized is.
Yesterday on the way back from work I asked an ice fisherman how much ice and he said seven inches in the main lake so probably ten plus inches in the bays.
We don't have any Karens around here that I've ever met while ice fishing yet. Catfishing at night in the summer they are out.

Ive never ice fished before (being from the south the only ice thick enough is a inside hockey rink🤣) looks great. Im planning a trip for next year to go north in hopes to ice fish but probably will be unsuccessful but hey you never know

spud bar is so so much easier to get a hole. i did that a ton last season!

I’ll have to check once I get a spud, but I haven’t seen any ice anglers out yet. Rest of the week looks pretty cold though, fingers crossed!

Im in Massachusetts anything you do outside is illegal for this reason moving to Maine. I drove my Car on 2” hahaha lil sketchy just keep moving at least 15mph.
