Sorry about the previous two uploads. I think we have it right now. Thanks for all the kind comments about black screens and edit errors.
About the name argument. In 1273 the Archbishopric seat of Sweden was moved from the town of Uppsala to the town of Östra Aros (eng: eatern eastuary). But the pope only allowed it if the name Uppsala was transferred as well. So today the original Uppsala is called "Old Uppsala" and is little known. While the town Uppsala today was originally named "Östra Aros" before 1273. Uppsala (now Old Uppsala) was the centre of the pagan cult in pre Christian Sweden. The pagan temple was burned in 1087.
I just think there are similarities and that it demonstrates how a symbolic name can be expressly and consciously relocated when the institution is relocated. And how the importance comes from the place being important to pagans. And how the time window is, well, somewhat similar.
Great to see you're making videos. Good to see your expertise on display.
It looks as though Dan Gibson is becoming closer to the "Aramaic Origin of the Quran" camp. This may mean that Gibson is coming closer to questioning more of the Standard Islamic Narrative. Until now, he has taken the story of Muhammad as given. This shows that he is open minded and follows the facts as they become known. I am curious about the comments made about Nabatean Arabic grammar resembling Quranic Arabic while also introducing the idea that the Quran could have Aramaic origins (Luxemburg). These seem in tension. Is the idea that the Quran was Nabatean Arabic or that it was Aramaic?
The Nabataean language evolved from Aramaic. Some have suggested that it could be the link between Aramaic and the Arabic of the Qur'an. In the book we suggest that the link was Al-Hajjaj, who edited the Qur'an, and caused the burning of all Qur'an before his edit. Much like Uthman;s Qur'an. This second edit and burning are much less known, and resulted in the Qur'ans we have today. Hajjaj seems to be the link between the Aramaic of the Nabataeans / Petra / Muhammad and the Arabic of the Qur'an. At least this is what I understand from Ibn Abu Dawud. The book is free to download.

Hi Dan. How would you respond to the claims that Mel from Islamic Origins has raised regarding the fact that there are other cities on the map that the qiblas could be pointing to, but they aren't shown on the map of the qibla tool on your website? Thanks.
Kindly make a video on Hadis...
Why all the hadis was collected and make those as book by the Persian and people from Central Asia..not from Arabian people??
5-8 generations!
Thanks Dan for your effort, I'm always waiting for your new videos.
The thing that I dont agree with you in this video, is that the nabatean wrote arabic using aramiac letters. Arabic is my mother language and I cant understant the nabatian enscriptions, yes, there are some common words between Aramiac, Arabic and Hebrow, as they belong to the same family, but nabatians didnt speak arabic, otherwise i will be able to undersrand it.
For example, if you write the word "Masjid" I understand it, its Mosque, even you used latin letters but you wrote an arabic word.
But many historians and archaelogical trying to mislead the people and change the truth, for example they are changing the name of Aretas ( nabatian king) to Al-hareth, just to give him an arabic name.
Nabatians were not Arabs.
Thank you
Greetings, can you put some light on what was the actual age of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)? Traditional Islam states his age as 63. Research by a Pakistani Quranist MR. AZIZULLAH BOHEO stated that Prophet Muhammad's age was 83 years and 4 months. He supported his argument on the basis of 97th Quranic Surah Qadr where 1000 months is stated? Can you help ascertain the Prophet's actual age please? I believe his exact age will help in ascertaining many true and false islamic narratives.
Awaiting your reply please.
