One of my friends who works at FAANG also told me the same thing! BUT still make sure you confirm with your employer when the last day you’d be on the payroll is!!! It is important to confirm directly because not every company keeps their laid off employees on the payroll for 3 months

我的經驗類似，那時候是美國境內F1 轉H1B 被拒，必須回台灣辦H1B，回台灣被AIT 審查，時間長達六個禮拜，那六個禮拜內心煎熬，如果被拒了，在美國多年建立的一切就沒了，後來成功拿到H1B回到美國後，就是想辦法push 公司律師加快綠卡的腳步，後來拿到身分才能比較安心的美國繼續發展。

我也经历过，不过我当年是在美国，所以没有你的情况复杂。我当年就跟公司谈妥了，severance按照工资发放，终止工作关系就不用再付钱了。所以我当年有大概四个月的时间加上两个月grace period。我觉得你在外国面试也可以。现在反正面试一般也都是在线的。我都没有找律师，基本就是自己跟公司谈妥的，完全没往那边儿考虑。签了severance的免责条款，紧接着就全身心找工作。三轮面试一般你找到工作申请新的H1b都两个月了。我记得是60天的最后一周新公司才给我申请H1b，反正只要申请寄出了，就可以继续在美国待下去了。
