    Thank you for this female empowerment focused doc. In America, we need the support for men and women, boys and girls, on the journeys of strong females from all walks of life, including athletics. Thanks for documenting the storyline of ignorance to informed about the alternative training needed for older women. You all owned your way of thinking through a challenge and demonstrated the ease of letting that go once you understood differently. And you bothered to do the research! Bravo guys for keeping that in your film.

    You don't necessarily need to train different peri or postmenopausal; it just becomes even more important to be mindful of all the factors that influence health. And it starts in our fertile years and ensuring we actually get good health following pregnancies! Replenishing is so important

      @@BrandonLineberry One argument has no barring on another. To support or not WFP isn’t an indication of if it should be morally acceptable to support, or not, CrossFit. The issue with moral reasons not to want to do the open for Annie; or anyone, relates to crossfits behaviour alone. Also, it doesn’t need to make sense to you. You have a different view. I don't agree with the accusation that CrossFit leadership are not taking accountability or responsibility for the Lazar tragedy. The non-responsibility path would be to step down and let someone else deal with it going forward, but instead they are staying in position and building new safety protocols and bringing on advisory teams to ensure that something like this never happens again.

    • @BananaDanceMan
      @BananaDanceMan 3 дня назад +5

      The idea that the people who didn't know an event needed safety - can now be trusted to implement that safety - that's where people are getting off the train. Probably why there is no title sponsor.

    • @tarns77
      @tarns77 3 дня назад +10

      I guess i can understand your perspective, but I don't agree that they've accepted responsiblity or accountability. To my mind, if they were truly taking accountability they would have published the indepedent report that was commissioned. If there were privacy issues that prevented publication in its entirety there are plenty of ways around that: it could have been published with redactions as appropriate, or it could have been released in summary form. At absolute least, they should have published any recommendations resulting from that report. If we don't know what an independent assessor has advised Crossfit to do then we don't know if the actions they're taking now are truly addressing the problems. As to the 'advisory team', it's not independent; it's comprised of people with close business ties to crossfit (eg rogue) and Dave's long-time buddies (rich froning). The PFAA already existed and is independent of Crossfit - that should be the advisory committee. Crossfit have done a few things to give a veneer of responsiblility. In my view though, nothing substantive has changed, they're not taking responsiblity for what happened, and they're not being accountable or transparent with the community.
