Thank you for your reaction to this beautiful duet with April and Emma. This performance was on the canals of Amsterdam in the presence of the King and Queen of the Netherlands. It's a yearly event, remembering the liberation after WW II and celebrating our freedom.
@@youmaderoskoe Emma is an extraordinary young artist as you know. In recent weeks she has really upped her game with a serious of Liberation Day performances, and an appearance on Dutch National TV as a presenter on a music awards show. I have to keep reminding myself that she is only 16 years old. Her talent and ability, of course, is far in advance of her years, and one is tempted to see her already as a major international star. In some ways that is already true, as she mesmerizes audiences to great acclaim around the world on tour with Andre Rieu and the Johann Strauss Orchestra, but on the other hand, she remains relatively unknown in the US and the rest of the English-speaking world. Reaction videos like yours are invaluable in getting the word out about Emma. It is important that Emma be heard. More than just entertainment, Emma brings with her performances a message of perseverance and hope in the face of adversity. It is a message the world needs to hear. Thanks again for your reaction. All the best.
You very much got the flavour of that song, and once again, Emma's voice is instantly recognisable, even without seeing her, and yes, a beautiful performance by them both, and even more impressive was that Emma was heavily involved with a significant number of concerts across the UK and Ireland with Andre RIeu, so Emma was doing a significant amount of travelling in order to perrform at these events during the liberation concerts in Holland. It's very clear that Emma has matured into a wonderful and powerful performer, and is impressing so many people with her dedication and ability, made even more special by the fact that she refuses to be defined by or limited by the disease that ties her to the feeding pumps for 22 hours a day, she is so dedicated to being the best she can be, and now, with her increased visibility as she's becoming more known, she's found the mental strength to be able to be seen at events like this while carrying the pumps, she takes them off for the performances, but is now more able to be seen with them attached, it's a measure of the mental strength she now has, and the determination that she has to be seen and accepted despite the illness, and she looks stunning in whatever outfit she is wearing, and she's clearly become a much bigger star than had been expected for her age, and it's good to see that she's not let it go to her head, the posts she's putting on social media show that she's still very much focussed on helping as many people as possible through her foundation, she truly is an exceptional individual. I close with my regular comment. Emma's foundation can be found at gastrostars.nl Please, if at all possible, join me in making a (regular) contribution to her foundation, to enable them to help patients like Emma, and research this awful disease that has affected her from birth, and requires her to be tied to the pumps and feeding tubes since she was 9 MONTHS old, for 22 hours a day, hopefully, the work of her foundation will find a cure. One of their main people is a surgeon who has a lot of experience in dealing with gastroparesis, and she is not only a surgeon, but also suffers from the same disease herself, to the extent that as a result of her condition worsening, she's had to leave her role in the hospital, and she is now dedicated to the foundation, and working to help find possible new treatments, or even better the cure that will free people like Emma to live a more normal life, rather than be tied to the feeding pumps for so many hours every day. It will be so good if the work of Emma's foundation can lead to a better treatment, or even a cure, which will free her to do more singing, and it may be people here who make that possible.
Thank you for the compliment. As far as the "you know" stuff..didn't realize that BUT I'll probably keep saying it. 🤷 Sorry that annoys you, just like praise laced with malice annoys me but I'll be okay..& so will you! 😎👍
