I wonder if you recorded each harmony note to a different track if possible or if not then only hold 1 note at a time record to track then the next note and record to a track then each note could be effected differently in volume fade in and out subtle delay on each not and even a slight pitch shift maybe vibrato. I'm thinking how you use expression sliders , not volume, for orchestras. Have you tried anything like this? I don't have the plugin but that's how I'd look at it you have to be able to separate each harmony separately like a real person singing

My workaround for this is to isolate each note THEN bounce each of them to another track. DO this for all the individual notes, then you get your freedom back. I know it's a lot of extra work, but until they give us more control in this plugin, its' a workaround ;-)
Hi Dan, Excellent tutorial as far as creating harmonies using a midi keyboard, My problem is I would prefer to create harmonies from an existing midi track containing the midi notes I wish to use for harmonies in my DAW (Studio One) rather than having to be able to play the harmonies from a midi keyboard in real time as I am a guitar player. Right now I can output the midi track to a hardware harmoniser via a midi channel and the audio vocal to the same hardware via the line in but it doesn't look like I can create harmonies the same way using Waves Harmony as a plugin. Can you educate me as to whether this is possible or not? . Hope my question is clear. Regards Alan
Thanks a lot.. when I want to add another effect to the harmony effect only.. like Soothe and ducking so the harmonies doesn't pop out too much on loud short parts, it seems.. I have to use it Send bus.. but how to apply midi to the harmony effect then?
I don't see why not. You can definitely solo any one of the harmonies you add so what you describe should be pretty easy to do. Demo it first though, and see if it works as you expect it to.

bout to try this out and see if this is gonna replace antares harmony. if so, ill end the subscription and buy this cause antares harmony at nearly 300 dollars alone to purchase, is the only reason why Im subscribe to antares monthly plan. it was literally the only plug in I needed from antares that didn't have a waves equivalent, until now!!!

Very cool plugin. But if I can sing that clear I wouldn’t need any harmonizer, I could just record myself three times and it would sound natural.

No, insert Harmony on the vocal audio track. Then set the MIDI track output to Harmony
No. Just route MIDI into Waves Harmony.
