Hello! Nice to hear from you. You did some nice EDIUS trainings in the past. Yes, EDIUS is still Windows only. Maybe in the future that might change again. EDIUS 11 becomes more open and uses HTML5 in some areas already which make the support for Mac easier, let's see what the future brings.
When you purchased EDIUS X when it was released, you need to buy an upgrade or a new version (depending on the version you have). EDIUS X includes all Updates inside EDIUS X, so 10.10, 10.20, 10.30, 10.34 and so on. EDIUS 11 is a new version and includes all 11.xx updates for free.

Have you tried to use sequence markers which become clip marker in the sequence? By doing so, it i very easy to navigate. Also EDIUS X offers a waveform in the sequence clip to easier find what you are looking for.

Right now, the Playhead will always be there, where it was when you opened the sequence the last time. We think many users like to have it as it is now: that the playhead / the cursor stays where it was. We want to avoid another option in the settings to change that behaviour. We will discuss this feature wish with the EDIUS team.

Hello! The easiest way is to work with markers. just press "v" in the sequence 2 to set a marker, you can even give the marker a name. Then when you are in Sequence 1, you will see the marker directly in the sequence clip 2.

There will not be a simple way to switch as it is technically not possible to do this switch without loss. For example if you have keyframes 100% to 0% switching from 1 frame to the next and change from 50p to 25p - what should be the result? There is no clear answer to this. That is why the EDIUS team decided not to implement this feature as it will result in problems. But that said, will we see broader project format support and in/export. and the new database structure. So there will be a solution for this within EDIUS 11. But again, the results will always have limitations because there is no way to do it 100% correct.

Yes, is it a special (because even deeper integrated) version of VisTitle which comes with EDIUS 11! Working with Subtitles has never been easier. And the Titler is so fast, it is a pleasure to wotk with it.
Sorry, but EDIUS is a Windows application. If the MacBook is intel based, you can install Bootcamp, Windows and EDIUS. If it is M1 based, it will not work.
Where is the link to buy in USA? And also can I install it on my two computers? I ask this because most softwares let you use it on two computers if they are yours. I got two computers always configured in case one crashes or when my wife edits photos I use the other computer.

You can deactivate one PC and activate another to move your license. You can also buy an option to use 2 PCs at the same time (only for 1 person, not to share the license). Motorfader from Behringer (BCF2000) is supported, like in the past. We have done first tests with other faders, but there is no official release for other faders right now.
The Primiary Color Correction Filter allows many great color grading features, have you tested it? It also automatically can change the color space into the correct one and recognizes the different formats and color spaces.

The native OFX support will allow more filters from other companies to run directly in EDIUS 11. The number of supported filters will grow with the time, as some adjustments might be possible.

EDIUS 11 offers also free plug-ins. Basically the ProDAD and Audio filters are like in EDIUS X, but have additional functions (like glitch effects, icon preview, auto color, AI based voice clearance filter and own Audio Editor. The Titler Pro from EDIUS X is replaced with a new Titler Express which is deeper integrated, faster and absolutly stable and offers nice new features especially for easy subtitling.

There are nice innovations, but it is not a premiere! There is almost no transition support (seamless transitions). There is no ready-made template support. You have to work very hard. You fell behind, but you were promising. I used to love using Edius, but when I fell behind the times and technology, I continue with Adobe.
Well there are seamless transitions - and much easier and better than in Premiere Pro. And sure, we have template support since EDIUS 8? Did you really check EDIUS?

GPU encoding is already possible with EDIUS X. You can use Nvidia or intel QuickSync GPU for encoding of H.264 and H.265. New in EIDUS 11 is the support for GPU Decoding with other GPUs than intel QuickSync - intel QuickSync is supported since many years.
Consolidate works fine - that clip names are renamed to Hash codes make sure that all files are collected correctly and nothing is missing or double. Also depending on the method you can trim clips, it will need to change the name because it will create more files from one file (different parts) and so on. Just give it a try. it works fine.

EDIUS X users can upgrade to EDIUS 11, yes it involves a purchase. But it is still "buy once and keep forever". So no subscription fee. You want it, you buy it, you pay once and keep it. Of course we made EDIUS 11 so great that you want to purchase it. But if not, you don't loose your Editor like in a with subscription model.
Well nothing here would make me buy 11. There are so many ideas to do, but noo glitch effect.. Which was accessible before but you had to pay for it. And right now is accessible! but you gotta pay for it!
Are you really sure, you don't want some of the new features? It is not just Glitch effects, it is so much more. And these glitch effects are not only included for free in EDIUS, they are also very easy to use and perfectly integrated with preview. Also they are really fast. And why did we integrate them? Because many users asked for it. And look at other features: Many of them have been integrated because of user feedback. And some because we think that the future of editing involves also a new technical background. EDIUS 11 offers a new structure to handle projects and opens up to integrate with AI tools and more.

Opening Edius to AI tools is a necessity and I'm happy GV takes care of it. I'm happy you are looking for new ways. BUT for today it's not groundbreaking. EDIUS with a new structure, and clip adjusting sounds impressive but other than that? I don't think i'm target client. I'm waiting for more info, more AI. And I can only hope for COLORABLE TABS.

We will not make EDIUS to Premiere, as EDIUS is very *stable and reliable* and that is what users like. But more features, yes, EDIUS 11 offers many new nice features as shown in the video above. In the wedding video area EDIUS is a leading product, but EDIUS is also leading in TV Broadcast in many countries. EDIUS can be used for many different kinds of video editing. But the core will always be: stable, fast, reliable & best quality output.

Changing the framerate of a project file is not yetz possible, but with EDIUS 11 we will deliver extended possibilies to do this in the future.

I am sorry, but right, now. If you have an intel based Mac, you can run Windows and EDIUS, but the M1/M2 cpus are not supported to do so.

Are the 3 free plug-ins that come Edius X (titler, ProDad effects and audio filters) also come with the new Edius 11?
EDIUS 11 offers also free plug-ins. Basically the ProDAD and Audio filters are like in EDIUS X, but have additional functions (like glitch effects, icon preview, auto color, AI based voice clearance filter and own Audio Editor. The Titler Pro from EDIUS X is replaced with a new Titler Express which is deeper integrated, faster and absolutly stable and offers nice new features especially for easy subtitling.

Hello! EDIUS X is soporting the Nikon Z9 files natively, where is it complicated? Just put the clip on the timeline? But EDIUS 11 will have more GPU power for decoding if you mean that you want more performance.

There are nice innovations, but it is not a premiere! There is almost no transition support (seamless transitions). There is no ready-made template support. You have to work very hard. You fell behind, but you were promising. I used to love using Edius, but when I fell behind the times and technology, I continue with Adobe.
Well there are seamless transitions - and much easier and better than in Premiere Pro. And sure, we have template support since EDIUS 8? Did you really check EDIUS?

First add gpu encoding. It only works with cpu render only.
GPU encoding is already possible with EDIUS X. You can use Nvidia or intel QuickSync GPU for encoding of H.264 and H.265. New in EIDUS 11 is the support for GPU Decoding with other GPUs than intel QuickSync - intel QuickSync is supported since many years.

Consolidate Project Does Not Work Properly - Edius Changes Clip Names
Consolidate works fine - that clip names are renamed to Hash codes make sure that all files are collected correctly and nothing is missing or double. Also depending on the method you can trim clips, it will need to change the name because it will create more files from one file (different parts) and so on. Just give it a try. it works fine.

EDIUS X users can upgrade to EDIUS 11, yes it involves a purchase. But it is still "buy once and keep forever". So no subscription fee. You want it, you buy it, you pay once and keep it. Of course we made EDIUS 11 so great that you want to purchase it. But if not, you don't loose your Editor like in a with subscription model.

And these glitch effects are not only included for free in EDIUS, they are also very easy to use and perfectly integrated with preview. Also they are really fast. And why did we integrate them? Because many users asked for it. And look at other features: Many of them have been integrated because of user feedback. And some because we think that the future of editing involves also a new technical background. EDIUS 11 offers a new structure to handle projects and opens up to integrate with AI tools and more.

Opening Edius to AI tools is a necessity and I'm happy GV takes care of it. I'm happy you are looking for new ways.
BUT for today it's not groundbreaking. EDIUS with a new structure, and clip adjusting sounds impressive but other than that? I don't think i'm target client.
I'm waiting for more info, more AI. And I can only hope for COLORABLE TABS.
i love the edius but if it would have been more features like preimere pro and da vince then it can remove the premiere i love to work on edius time line because it is very easy to use, and options are on fingers tips but even then it has lot of drawbacks if you guys make this edius to like premiere pro but do not change the time line working make it as it is then i can gurantee you that no one wedding video professionals will not be use other softwares so please do somthing about my concerns im talking about
We will not make EDIUS to Premiere, as EDIUS is very *stable and reliable* and that is what users like. But more features, yes, EDIUS 11 offers many new nice features as shown in the video above. In the wedding video area EDIUS is a leading product, but EDIUS is also leading in TV Broadcast in many countries. EDIUS can be used for many different kinds of video editing. But the core will always be: stable, fast, reliable & best quality output.
