    Nice work! Personally not sure if i'd want to swap a m30b34 for a m54b30 :) ok maybe for fuel efficiency but not for torque and feel right? but nice that it can be done like this!

    Nice swap! How simple would the m54b30 swap be for an e23 7 series? Did you have to make custom engine and transmission mounts for the e24?

    • @BrintechCustoms
      @BrintechCustoms  4 года назад +2

      Thanks Matt. We had to make custom mounts yes, it was a fairly compatible swap. If you would like us to help let us know

      Yes! I want to do the same to my E34, cos I love it. I have the M50B25 and want more power from an inline six. I like those extractors that you guys made. What else do you make? I'm in NZ so can't send my car to you but I want to support buying products made here or in Australia.
      Just found your channel and you guys are an inspiration.

    • @BrintechCustoms

      Shirneet Prasad no it's an MS43. They run both types of coil packs. mS42 is cable operated throttle and won't work with M54

    • @BrintechCustoms
      @BrintechCustoms  5 лет назад +2

      Adam Voskuil just a good amount of porting on the exhaust ports and some cleaning up on the intake ports. most of the magic is in the headers and cams

  • @DriftEmigrant
    @DriftEmigrant 5 лет назад

    Great work! I have 2 questions:
    - Did you drill more holes to use more studs when install the headers ?
    - I see you use single mass (lighter?) flywheel , I heard stories how that mess the balance/harmony of the rotating asembly and oil pump nut gonna loose . How true is that and did you secure the that nut ?

    • @BrintechCustoms
      @BrintechCustoms  5 лет назад +4

      Hi we have use oil chain tensioner guides as a retrofit which avoids the lashing on the oil pump wheel. Reducing the flywheel weight from 11kg to 3.7kg does significantly reduce the rotating mass weight. These are commonly used on on our engine swaps and we havent ever had an issue, no extra drilling or studding required on the exhaust manifold
