- In this week's vlog, we attempt to go riding the world's fastest zip line, the Velocity 2 at Zip World, Penrhyn Quarry.
The Velocity 2 is the world's fastest zip line and we headed out to Zip World at Penrhyn Quarry, near Bethesda, North Wales, but did we sail or did the day turn out to be a fail?
The Velocity 2 zip wire, at Zip World, Penrhyn Quarry, Bethesda, North Wales is the fastest zip line in the world and travels at over 100mph.
The Velocity 2 zip line at Zip World is 1555 metres long.
In this Zip Line Zip World vlog, we head out to Bethesda, North Wales, but the weather makes the day take a turn for the worse.
Do we get to go riding the world's fastest zip line, or does the day turn out to be a complete washout? Why not join us on our adventures and find out.

Welcome to the official Postcard & A Pint RUclips channel.
Postcard & A Pint was thought up by my partner, Rachel & myself, Wills one day while taking our daily 1 hour exercise during the lockdown of 2020. All of a sudden, we were spending more time together, not working 6 or 7 days a week in the arts industry, and binge watching travel programs, and we were actually really enjoying it, and it made us re-evaluate what was important in life for us. Now back to working 6 or 7 days a week again, with very little time off, our happy time is getting out there on our brief times off together and making short travel videos that we are now sharing with you. It's just a bit of fun, and great for our sanity. Your support is hugely appreciated x

Love it 😃 You asked if any of us have done this, not yet ! In our Llechwedd video we did promise everyone we would be doing this and film it but haven't got round to it yet ! It's fabulous , we go here often walking in the mountains and like your said the views from up there are stunning. Shame you had to go back a second time and the weather wasn't good but I know they are really very safety aware there. Great to see and a win for the girls 😃 👍~ Anna

I did a zip line many years ago (no where near that high) but you were handing vertically and as I jumped off I span round and only had a rear view which made landing a bit undignified and much less fun. We did see a similar line to this at the Eden project when we visited a few years ago but strangely non of the family wanted to do it.
We’d definitely recommend this, it’s such a great experience and it feels so safe. The lads who we zipped with, one of them was supposed to be there with his wife, but she bottled it, so he’d brought a friend. There was a 70+ yr old woman in our group, so anytime I was feeling nervous, I’d just tell myself, if she can do it, so can you!! Glad it did!! And I won!!. They have a vertical zip at this site too, you don’t half go fast though lying down! We may well be visiting Zipmas!! Cheers for watching 🍻
Love the drive through Bethesda, was praying for sun for you hehe. Nice to see around the village. Loving the variety of things to see and do at Zip World. Ah good ole weather, atleast they look after you and rebook everything. Ahh yes, those views are the ones i love to see, theres something about the mountains in the rain. Glad you had a good time. Sunday not the best day to go as not many places open pub doesn't open until 1.30 but does not do food the second large chapel you saw is now converted to flats in 1997 12 of them I live at no1 large window on the left of the pic in my living room. They are good with safety my son works there

Yep, nailed it on the 2nd attempt. It was cool as we got to do the whole thing again, which was great. It’s such an amazing experience and we’re so glad we did it! Yup Maiden flu has hit the house - I started with it yesterday! Father Zipmas may have to be visited!! Cheers 🍻

I know for a fact that I wouldn't be brave enough but wish I was. I would have been 20 years ago though. Drat how time can bring about such changes. Just the thrill of it all, the adrenaline rush, the air rush, the breathtaking view and the fast beating heart. Oh yes, I would have LOVED this 20 years ago. Haha, What? You seem like rescued from a mountain 7:17 a little different style we have zipline in US
Were you comfortable? Cam mount is interesting and nice to have all helmets are offered. Oh yes it is the same protocol about lightening here in the US, too.

Cheers for watching. They do upright zips as well, but because that one is so fast, the lying down is preferable. It was fine for comfort, a bit of a jolt when you hit the brakes, but nothing major. The pizza was a well earned treat after flying down the mountain. Thank goodness we were lightning free on week 2. Cheers 🍻

Whoah!!! This was insane guys!🫣🤩. We hadn't even heard of this place before, but Pete was straight on the website checking it out as soon as we had finished watching 😂🙈. It is fairly pricey, but then everything looked state of the art and extremely safe, so you get what you pay for. For a special occasion this would be amazing! Those views, absolutely gorgeous, and so atmospheric through the clouds ⛅️. Felt for you both, all ready to go and turned away, but as usual you turned it into a positive of being able to return the following week😁👊👌. Hats off to both of you for going for it, especially you Rach, conquering your fear, and taking the win for the girls🏆👏👍. Loved this fast paced, fun filled thrill ride of a video, one of our faves😁👌.

I did it with my dad in December foggy as heck ! Was pretty cool

The zipline did look amazing, the twisty thing that throws you around looks horrible! Interesting that the town is called Bethesda with a Jerusalem chapel, very holy!
Yep agree on the twisty thing! Like so many welsh towns and villages, there are always many chapels and churches. The Jerusalem one was very grand! Cheers for watching 🍻
Yes once there was 27 chapels in Bethesda and
surrounding area. Bethesda was name of the large chapel in the video which since 1997 has been converted to flats where I live and named after the Bethesda pool in Jerusalem new testament John 5:2 where jesus dipped a crippled man to walk again

Thinking about doing this in April! What do you do with your belongings while you’re on the line? And can the helmet camera face out so you can see the view instead of your face?
Do it an enjoy it! It's amazing. We left out stuff in our car as the car park is really close to the centre, or you can use a locker, they have plenty of those. Yes, you're more than welcome to have the camera the opposite way, just tell them when they attach it. Cheers 🍻
