I love that there is sound. And it bends my mind that there is sound.

the sound is transmitted through camera body and rocket plume

@@linecraftman3907 I understand this but find it amazing. It's like a temporary atmosphere.

@@Lazy_Tim It's part temporary atmosphere, part "bone conduction"

Turns out that there is sound in space. You just have to bring your own air.

Great video! Maybe they'll add some protection for the cabling that gets fried, after all you want to use it again.

the sound is possible because enough molecules of exhausted reacted fuel are present to carry the mechanical vibrations?

Yes, when you have a partial pressure environment from an exhaust plume, plus conduction through the camera body, you SOUND.

0:13 The expansion nozzle appears to be slightly bent inwards, so it's not perfectly circular. Is this a problem?

    • @User2o2

I think that's just from the way that the camera lens is set up, because it looks like the screen is split in half and then pasted together.

Team can we have Neutron updates, clearly "special sauce" redacted.
Even a monthly progress report in broad terms would be appreciated.
ie we reached stage 3 of 5 with the engine tests the failure mechanism is under review for next iteration. And some more CG flicks of possible deployments....
