Reusable rockets are great but they carry extra mass due to added landing fuel as well as added structural mass to carry that extra fuel as well as dealing with much more fatigue exposure. Just look at the difference in falcon 9 landing vs. Stage disposal mass to GTO. If ULA can nail engine recovery, they will be really set.
Wish the overall mission could've been 100% successful, but the launch was absolutely brilliant--especially for the first flight of a new rocket! Hoping to see many more beautiful Vulcan launches in the coming years!
For what it's worth, In my opinion this narration was perfect! We are told what's happening as it happens and that's it. Not a constant barrage of "Jibber Jabber" which sounds as if it's coming from 'Coked up" High School Students!!!👍👍👍

Congrats to BO for this Remarkable Accomplishment. CH4 Engines are relatively new for Space Travel but Rockets aren't, making this a notable Win. I find it interesting that Vulcan enters closed loop steering during the centaur flight. If I remember from Atlas, it enters closed loop when it’s only the core burning. I’d love to see some good information about that.
I humbly suggest that next time there's a night launch that one of those "As Seen On TV" sunglasses be duct taped over the camera lens to dramatically reduce the rocket's glare.😋
Super happy the launch was a success, but why is this designed to reach orbit in 16 minutes when others do so in little more than half that time? When the rocket accelerates slower it loses performance to gravity!
I am so glad to see a very successful launch by ULA of the Vulcan - Centaur rocket. Hopefully I will stop seeing the videos from the other launch service providers fan boys saying how Blue Origin can't produce a good engine for Vulcan, or how NASA is going to drop them for space launches and all that is needed is the other launch service provider. No, I did not mention the other name but I'm sure you know who I mean when they get so excited over a failed launch.

The flawless performance of the BE-4 engines gives Blue Origin a little boost of credibility that they sorely need.
At little bit? It was huge! And today the first New Glenn booster was rolled to LC-36. So it's been a great last few days for Blue.

The bluish glow is not due to pure methane, but to liquefied natural gas.
@@av_kovko LNG is just methane with a few impurities. I think LNG is cheaper than pure methane though. Still makes BE-4 a methalox engine.
