I feel you SO MUCH talking about Into the Dark. That book broke me. Stunning, perfection, but also my heart!!! I'm still devastated.
Can't wait to read Empire of the Damned. Empire of the Vampire was my #1 read last year. 🌟
The craziest thing about the beautiful and the damned is that it was originally duology then it became a trilogy and finally a quartet

Oh my god that makes so much sense. I don't think this needed to be more than 2 books but I'm currently reading the third one and I'm loving it so much.
Yes!!! This was so much fun! I love this tag! 💗💗💗 A book that definitely had me in a complete emotional rollercoaster and shed many tears was Kingdom of Ash! Missing those characters already!! 😭 One book that was a HUGE disappointment shall not be said- because Ik people will come after me fr so....🤫🤐 lol!!! After reading the Empryrean series (which I'm still completely obsessed with and still think about til this very day and now has me already impatiently going crazy for book three-) has become my top favorite read so far this year. And because of that, I just love Rebecca Yarros' writing and characters...but I didn't know much about her and later found out that she's been an author for many years and has written other books! 🙊💞 So I'm really really excited to read them by her!! As for some books I'm still anticipating for later this year, is Wisteria by Adalyn Grace and The Courting of Bristol Keats by Mary E. Pearson. For the books I would like to read before the end of the year? Haha! Girly, the list goes on and on!!! Lol smh 🤣🤣🤣

If you want to dip your feet into sci-fi, a few beginner recommendations where you can kinda gloss over all the technology is the Innkeepers Chronicles by Ilona Andrews, The Long Way to a Small and Angry Planet by Becky Chambers and Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells ☺️ the first 2 recs have romance but the last one is also very character driven!

I'm glad you mentioned more than one best book, because choosing just one seems like a lie. unless of course the person's only read a handful of books. I was going to suggest that you should read the Saint of Steel series, but apparently you're already on top of that. So... You should probably really like to read Project Hail Mary. No, really. I think you might like it. It's a book, and it has words in it... okay, I'm not good at selling it. But it is a very good book.
I’ve had a lot of friends recently read Project Hail Mary! Definitely nervous for that one but maybe I’ll put it on my want to read 🙈

@@toribetweenpages I looked at a review for it on Goodreads and someone spoiled what happened in the comments and I'm so sad and so upset about what the author did to an character. I'm also currently reading The righteous so that makes even worse 😭😭💔💔.
